To preface, I think if I had reviewed School of Rock when I was still attending the school, my…read morerating would have been higher, but looking back on my experiences there I've found that it fostered a toxic environment. If you're looking to learn an instrument, it's great, but the social aspect is not well managed. Students who did not put school of rock first (over regular school, other activities, and jobs) were not respected by instructors, even though this should have been a fun extra curricular. I found in my personal experiences, staff being rude over missed rehearsals due to illness (pre-covid), lack of respect for seasons off, and an overall disappointing attitude when it came to high schoolers not putting music first (even when it was just an after school activity). The staff frequently became closer with students (showing, at times, blatant favoritism), and instead of instructing them and being the adults to look up to, became involved in petty drama of teenagers - even taking sides if their "star student" was showing less than admirable behavior towards other students. It could have been a fantastic after school experience- and it certainly had its positives, but as long as the school continues to operate the way it does, I would be remiss to recommend the Littleton school. I did have fun at the shows and learned instruments - but I can't say it was worth the experience I had with the instructors at this particular location.

What can I say about Littleton School of Music and it's staff? They are awesome!…read more My oldest child started off in the summer camp program many years ago at the end of 5th grade. He is now a junior in high school and since that first day of summer camp, he has been hooked. He has taken private lessons and moved into the rock band program and has loved it all. His little brother, while tagging along for the car rides, decided he also wanted to participate in the summer camps and private lessons and had the time of his life playing percussion. We have had a variety of teachers between the two boys over the many years and all have been excellent and were the exact person my child needed at that time in their development. While rocking out to Rush, they also learned music theory in a fun way. They have learned how to write their own music and try their hand at learning other instruments with the encouragement of all the staff. The teachers are super talented musicians in their own right and we have been truly grateful that they have shared their passion for music with my boys. Their teachers have been amazing mentors. The most awesome part of the whole experience has to been to see my children learn and grow as musicians. Not only did I want my children to have solid foundation in theory and playing, but in collaborating with others in creating music. They may or may not make music on a professional level as adults, but they will always be musicians and the time they spent developing their craft at Littleton School of Music has been worth every penny.

Since then, he has taken up song writing and now plays different instruments in the band depending on the song or the talent need. They have even performed some of their original songs! I would not recommend A Music Plus for weddings/receptions. Here are a few examples of everything…read morethat went wrong. 1. For the ceremony bride and groom did not have microphones. They had to lean into the pastor to read their vows. This doesn't look good in photos. 2. They cut the father daughter dance from a 6-minute song to a 2 minute portion of that song. They stated that the bride signal to them to cut it. The dance was recorded and that "signal" did not ever happen. 3. The playlist of the evening was not played in order. 4. The DJ at all times was very hard to understand. The bride and groom did not know what to do when the announcements were happening because of this. I did reach out to A Music plus and spoke with Trinity about all of this and I have asked for a partial refund due to all of this but I am now being ignored and are failing to even respond to emails. Do NOT hire for your special day! Due to the current response I must further clarify. My daughter did not know what song was being played for the father/daughter dance and would not and did NOT state any possibility to cutting it short. The song was a surprise for her from her father. That is exactly why I contacted Trinity, specifically with the exact song and the exact link to the song that was to be played all by email. Trinity statement that this was to be cut short is a lie! And please do not think that there is not a video of that exact dance from start to finish with no cues of cutting it short from either the bride or father! The only reason there were multiple calls is because I had to reach out to A music plus for any type of response due to not responding to email. Not professional at all for not responding! And again, the bride and groom had a playlist to follow in a specific order. They worked hard on this for months coming up with these details. Not to follow the specific instructions is a failure on your part. The bride and groom did also request NO request to be allowed. This was their day and no one elses and that request should have been followed. Failure to even recognize the microphone issue during their vows! Furth more, you have not responded to email when asking for a partial refund. You do deserve to be paid but so many mistakes happened that I do deserve at least a partial refund. Again for anyone reading...please search out other DJ's. It will save you tons of headache!

This little theater is very intimate. There are 260 seats and they are pretty close together. The…read moreends of the rows angle toward the stage while the seats next to them face forward. That creates a very small space for the people next to each other to put their legs. I was in seat C13, hubby was in C12 and the 6ft. tall lady in C11 had to vie for leg room. I believe the seats are original to the theater. My seat was lumpy and not at all comfortable. It was directly behind the seat in front of me so I had to lean to the side to see the stage. That said, the building has a very interesting history. It was originally built in the 1920's as the Town Hall for Littleton. A fire truck was kept in what's now the lobby and there was a jail in the basement. The whole building has a historical feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming and their production of Avenue Q was excellent. Parking is along Main Street which could be a challenge so I recommend arriving early.

There were many things I loved about my lessons with John. First off, his positive energy and enthusiasm made our lessons such a pleasure. Something else that made John's approach totally unique was that his lesson content is very student-driven; rather than assigning me songs to practice, he would ask me what I wanted to learn. I would show him songs I was interested in, and he would help me figure out how to play them. In the weeks when life was busy and I didn't have a song in mind, he would make suggestions that I could choose from. He also challenged me by incorporating musical theory into our lessons, and took into account my prior knowledge from playing piano and singing. Another unique aspect of John's teaching is that he would video record new finger work or strum patterns, and share the videos with me. This way when I was practicing at home and didn't remember how to play something, I could always rewatch the videos. If you're at all considering taking ukulele lessons, I highly recommend that you work with John!
