(Especially the raspberry brownies...) They brought all of their own tablecloths, napkins, etc. to the event making it stress-free. Bleu Sage catered my graduation party and the presentation was so beautiful. Everyone was asking who had catered the event because the food was so fresh and unique. It was Hawaiian themed and the pork and wings were absolutely to die for. They also catered my sister's graduation party with a Taco Bar. Bleu Sage's generosity really shined through during Make-A-Wish Week at Golden High School. For years now they have been donating homemade rice krispy treats, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other goodies to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses. Bleu Sage dropped off the donations along with napkins, plates, gloves, and of course cheerful smiles. We would not have been able to reach our goal without them. Bleu Sage catered my cousin's wedding in June. The spread was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! They had cute taco stands and the presentation was absolutely stunning and so professional. The owners are so professional, considerate, honest, and creative with their food and setup. They genuinely take the time to make sure that everything is perfect every step of the way. We had quotes from a few other caterers and Greens Point offered the most variety of food (from passed apps, charcuterie boards, grazing stations, plated salads, family style dinner for 160 people, cookie bar) the list really goes on and on and on... They were a preferred caterer from my wedding venue but they hadn't actually worked with them before. Dan came to the venue and worked everything out which even included renting an oven to heat things up outside - and oh did I mention they were still the most affordable option?? Staff wore masks, and as guests were were instructed to wear masks when getting up AND when talking with staff. As an Ohioan resident, the latter is not implemented, but honestly I wish it was. Restaurant staff need to be protected as well. The server brought us complimentary housemate beverages to begin the evening, an unexpected added bonus (which were deliciously refreshing, if I remember correctly, made from a grapefruit base). All staff was convivial, friendly, and easygoing. The food was next-level. Granted, this is a moderately upscale dining experience, despite the casual, down to earth ambiance that is quintessentially Colorado. The focaccia was fresh and perfectly balanced in that slight give, the crunchy exterior, and soft and oily interior. I'm partial to burrata above a lot of cheese options, especially with focaccia, and this didn't disappoint. The fennel pesto and nasturtium helped to lift the otherwise indulgent starter. The charcuterie board was well plated, offered a wide variety of flavors and textures, leaning on the sharper side of flavors, feeling a little French (as its namesake). The star of the show was the wagyu. With no exaggeration I will proclaim that this was the best cut of meat I have ever consumed. The perimeter had a nice salty crisp to it, the interior was juicy, flavorful, a melt in your mouth, no knife needed experience. I was viscerally taken aback. And each bite was like the first. Paired with the market fresh tomatoes, black garlic aioli, and shallot, the acidity, warmth, umami, and herbaceous boxes were all checked. Simply fantastic. My partner, a more frequent meat eater stated that this was the best meat he had eaten in over a decade. Last but certainly not least, we finished the night with their seasonal vanilla cherry bombe. Aesthetically pleasing Bavarian cream and dacquoise with poached cherries and vanilla cherry sauce. A nice subtle finish to the meal, if a little homogeneous. I would suggest a little citrus acid in the cherry sauce, and maybe some more incorporation of cherries throughout the dish. Overall, one of the best parts of our vacation. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a moderately priced meal. Fans of rich flavor and fine cuisine, without the pretentiousness that sometimes come with fine dining, reserve a table at Blackbelly for dinner.

Old Style Sausage Rocks!…read more The sausage God's have blessed the small town of Louisville, CO... I kid you not! How in the world can you get house-made polish sausage in the middle of freakin Colorado? I like to make the food of my grandfather, slovak cabbage rolls and kielbasi. Lo and behold, I find Old Style and they custom make my order! Not only that, but they do italian, andouille, all kinds of stuff. Here's the deal. Call them, talk to Mike or Scott (the friendliest guys in the world... if you like sausage they will talk about the process with a deep knowledge and affection... they rock), then make a custom order and pick up soon after! That's right, you custom order it. Bam! Forget major grocery stores, go with the house-made local brand from the guys who have been doing it for 35 years. I bought 8 pounds and it literally was some of the best stuff I've had in ages. Old Style is a god-send. I might even go today because I am getting hungry just talking about it!

When I came to pickup at 5 today, I got two pounds of crawfish. The person working there had them in a black Rubbermaid bucket, with the corn, potatoes, and sausage in a metal bucket, so nothing looked really hot or held at the correct temperature. In addition, when I got home, I started eating a few crawfish and I noticed it smelled off, and there were many crawfish that had big globs of dirt stuck into it, like it hadn't been cleaned or washed before cooking. I understand that crawfish are bottom feeders, however there should not be visible gobs of dirt stuck into multiple crawfish after cooking. There was no seasoning either, or if there was it was completely covered by the dirt flavor. I couldn't eat more than a few pieces and threw the entire order away. The crawfish I received looked nothing like the pictures on your website in terms of quality or cleanliness and I am concerned about getting sick. This was an offense to my senses. I feel disgusted thinking about there few I ate before I threw them away.
