I brought my 1987 Buick Grand National to Khalil Algaar, the owner, for body and paint work. I was…read morepromised a professional, complete paint and body job for the full $8,000 I paid, but unfortunately, he failed to deliver the quality of work I was promised. After the work was completed, the paint began bubbling and cracking after only a few weeks. I gave the shop multiple opportunities to correct the problem, but after three separate attempts at repainting the vehicle, the problems persisted. At one point, Khalil believed the problem was related to the metal on the roof and was prepared to replace the roof metal because he believed that was the source of the issue. However, the bubbling was not limited to the roof -- it was present throughout the vehicle. After the third paint job, Khalil continued telling me he would finish the car and resolve the issues. I waited several more months based on those promises, but with no meaningful progress, I ultimately removed my car from his shop in the 11th month. I eventually had another professional body shop inspect the vehicle. They provided a written estimate of approximately $17,500 to strip the existing paint/material down to bare metal and properly redo the necessary body and paint work. They also told me the problem is most likely related to improper preparation and excessive paint/material buildup. After three failed attempts to correct the work, Khalil told me he would refund my money, but that refund has not been provided. I am now having to pursue legal remedies to try to recover the $8,000 I paid. I'm posting this review so other customers can be aware of my experience and make their own decision before having significant paint or bodywork performed here.
