I was pleasantly surprised to find a % Arabica near Rockefeller Center. I've been to the Brooklyn and Nolita location before, so now I have another location to cross off my list. The store is very small - so I wouldn't go here to get work done. It was pretty packed when I arrived (maybe because it was the holidays?) and there's not a ton of seating here. I always order the Spanish latte here (it's one of their signature drinks) and it's always good. The Kyoto latte is also good if you like a less sweet drink. There's one bathroom in the back - their merch is displayed in a case next to the bathroom so you have something to look at if you are waiting in line for the bathroom. They ran out of drink lids when I went on Sunday, so it was a little awkward walking around the city with a hot drink with no lid. Glad to see another % Arabica in the city! read more

I'm so glad to have visited Arabica on one of their first opening days! The interior decor is very sleek and I've always been a fan of their coffee from trying other locations. I really liked the iced latte we tried here today and it was consistent with the one I tried at another location! However, I also got to try the matcha latte today and could taste clumps of the powder at the bottom and it was not well mixed. It tasted very bitter to me. Would recommend their coffee however. Their coffee beans also are not here for purchase for another 1-2 weeks. read more

This is the first time trying the rockefeller location and i can say it was disastrous, we tried the brooklyn location just two days ago and it was so good we wanted another cup instantly. I ordered the matcha latte and as soon as the drink was ready i could tell by the color that it wasn't the same (compared to brooklyn) , but tried it anyways and i was not happy. It had a very strong milk flavor and very little matcha flavor, it was also extremely grainy and not enjoyable to drink. The service was excellent, the lady taking our order was very nice and friendly but besides the ambiance and customer service i would not recommend this place, go to the brooklyn one instead. 3/10 read more

I saw this newly opened in Rockefeller Center so wanted to try it out after hearing about it in Asia. Coffee Tbh I'm not a big coffee person and always get lattes. I appreciate how the menu here is simple and focuses on different blends. It makes me want to keep coming and compare them. I got the Kyoto and really liked the smoothness despite asking for oat milk which often results in watery lattes from other places. Full disclosure I was congested so couldn't full taste it. From what I could gather, it's as palatable as Blue Bottle if not better (cuz BB hasn't been as good lately). I saw they squirted condensed milk into some cups. I'm not sure if they do it for all or just certain orders. The sweetness wasn't apparent to me but perhaps my muted taste buds couldn't pick it up. I feel like they should note that if it's really in all cups. What if people are lactose intolerant or vegan or whatnot. They use Oatly for oat milk. The regular milk seems to be from Lactaid since that's the only other milk carton at their counter. I think they should let people know as well to ease concerns. Also no food available when I went. Service There were two employees when I went. There's two cashiers but only one was open. Sometimes there's no one at the cashier because both of them went to make orders. Then the front gets crowded and no one knows where the end of the line is. Seems like they need to increase staff if service is always this busy. I also think they can add a sign telling people to line up a certain direction along the table. I read other reviews where they said the employee will explain differences between drinks. I'm not the type to ask these and hold up the line so I did my homework beforehand. My colleague never heard of this place and has no idea about their coffees. They only have two menus on clipboards at the cashier. One has illustrations with descriptions. The other is just a list of items and prices. It'll be helpful to have more around or displayed on a large screen or sign. I get it won't look chic but it helps. The glass next to the front door has a menu but how many people are going to look outside before going in or come in and go back out to look? Decor Biggest thing I need to mention is how the mirror at the very end of the store is really smart!! I thought multiple times that the store is deeper than it actually is. Please keep that mirror nice and shiny. The whole store basically has a table in the middle for all the ordering and prep needs. Along the sides of the store are two long yellow benches. They're quite comfortable and I wonder how they'll last over time. Most people just sat there while waiting for their order. No one really stays long. There's no tables so don't view this as a working spot. Although there's benches on both sides of the store, they deliver drinks on the right side of counter which confuses people. A lot of people sit on the left side and have to walk over when their name is called. It might not look as chic but it'll be helpful to have a sign saying where to pick up. So about the ordering crowd, the space between the cashier and door is small. It fits maybe three people standing in a straight line (normal human spacing). People just end up crowding to the left and right without a clear sense of where's the end of the line. Maybe create a marking on the floor on the left side of the counter so customers can line up against that side of the table. People can sit for a second if they're tired. That way people can wrap around to the right side of the cashier to wait and pickup their drinks. Other Seems to be quite popular already. Most of the customers seem to be nearby office workers. Many of them ordered multiple drinks. It was funny watching people struggle writing names on each cup. They have a stamp card where 10 cups gets you a free one. Considering how I'm interested in trying the rest of the blends (maybe Kyoto again when my senses are normal), I'm probably going to make this my go to coffee shop rather than Blue Bottle. Their prices are similar anyway. There's a small rack with napkins, lids, stirrers, simple syrup, and maybe a couple other things at the side of the table where you pick up drinks. It's a small rack. I think it'll get messy when it gets busier here and many people are grabbing for things. The napkin and lid supply is constantly so low. It's easily empty especially when so many people order trays of drinks. read more

Was super excited when I found out this Japanese coffee chain opened in Manhattan! Luckily the lines were very short and service was fast. I ordered the Kyoto latte and matcha latte.
