We went to several places in town, but hands down, Certified Pool & Spa had the best variety of brands and prices. They delivered our hot tub the very next day and helped set it up. Later on, they called to make sure that I had everything up and running and asked if I had questions. The following week they called to check-in again, and I was so appreciative. I noticed a super minor thing a week later, and they offered to have one of their very courteous workers come out to address it within an HOUR. We paid a fair/good price, and my biggest concern was not ending up with buyers remorse, and so far I have not. The only irony of the situation is now I need emergency surgery and can't use my hot tub for 6 weeks, but I know I will enjoy it after that! We love our hot tub and I will recommend Wayne and Debby (and all their FRIENDLY staff) to everyone I know. We would absolutely shop here again without hesitation. (Plus, they have really great snacks and cute dogs in store!)

My experience with EZ Roofing & Remodeling and its owner, Isreal Garcia, has been extremely…read morenegative and stressful. I hired him for a kitchen remodel that included plumbing and electrical relocation. Despite claims on his website, he never filed the required permit for the plumbing work and used unlicensed plumbers on my home. When I asked for subcontractor names, license numbers, or proof of insurance, he delayed providing any documentation. I finally got the COI. FUNNY the policy start date was the date after I asked for it. I paid a $12,500 deposit. Work done: Demolition/prep, unpermitted/unlicensed plumbing (which I had to fix), unfinished cabinets, and cans of paint (nothing painted). Certainly not $12500 worth of work. Deadlines were pushed from the promised 2 weeks to a month, bait and switch. The lack of permits, the use of unlicensed trades, the refusal to disclose subcontractor or insurance details, and his increased hostility forced me to terminate him. I tried arbitration via BBB and he has refused to respond. He took off with my large deposit and left me with a torn‑apart kitchen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this contractor. I should have paid more attention to the red flags. After asking for a general quote via BBB, he unexpectedly showed up at my house, UNINVITED. Predatory behavior, Red Flag 1. Conversation got too personal, not professional on his part, Red Flag 2. Spoke poorly of and to his wife, Red Flag 3.

Said they would use hurricane clips on the decking, they put a few in obvious places, but didn't do it everywhere. Said they would replace any decking that showed signs of previous water damage, but they didn't even pull up the old felt to inspect the decking! Shingled over the original, wrinkled roofing felt, leaving obvious waves. Many of the decking boards should have been replaced due to getting wet previously and are now swelling and covered in mold. They were supposed to strengthen the rafters in the attic due to changing the roof design from a hip style to a gable roof front. See photos for how poorly it was done. In less than 3 months, the shingles were cracking and dried out. The roof isn't sufficiently supported and has lines where it is sagging and caving in. Randy came out to look at it and said, "Well, its too late to do anything about that now." There are rafters spliced together with one nail holding it together. They didn't put the house wrap on correctly around the dormers (which were also very poorly constructed) and it leaked, causing mold to grow all over the ceiling. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Randy's Roofing for ANY job whatsoever.

From almost the beginning, it seemed like there was always another issue to address. Today was the final straw. I learned that the pump Paradise Pools installed has been discontinued, replacement parts are no longer readily available, and I'm now facing approximately $2,500 to replace the entire unit instead of making what should have been a routine repair. When I called Paradise Pools to express my concerns, I felt completely dismissed. I wasn't looking for a free replacement--I wanted someone to acknowledge that a major component of a pool that's less than three years old shouldn't have a history of leaks and then become unrepairable because parts are no longer available. Looking back, it felt like nearly every aspect of the project was subcontracted. I never had the impression Paradise Pools was directly overseeing or standing behind the work. When problems arose, it seemed no one wanted to take responsibility. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointment after disappointment. Between the recurring leaks, the quality of the workmanship, the choice of equipment, and the lack of customer support when problems occurred, I cannot recommend Paradise Pools. A pool is a major investment, and customers deserve quality construction, quality equipment, and a builder who stands behind their work long after the final payment is made. That was not my experience.
