It was an experience!…read more For those that don't know, a colonic aka "colon hydrotherapy" shoots water into your colon to clean you out and can reach your large intestine where a long time of buildup and toxins reside. I've done many enemas, but an enema can't reach that far up. The process takes about 45 minutes. A tube is inserted into your rectum where the water comes out. You will be laying down on a table with a "sink" for waste which has tubes for the waste to flow out. I had purchased a groupon which includes a sauna before your treatment. It is recommended to have at least 3 treatments within a week your first time because it can take a while to blast and wash away that toxic buildup. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in helping me get past my initial hesitancy, so I made an appointment for a few days later... When I arrived for my appointment, Sandra greeted me at the door, introduced me to Abby behind the counter and said that I needed to provide some personal information before I could have my treatment. I sat in the front reception area and filled out the paperwork which was very simple and easy, and then Sandra took me to treatment room #1. Everything was very clean, pristine and very fresh smelling. No heavy bleach, detergents, or strong aromatics at all; I guess I was expecting there to be a notable compensation in that area because of the nature of the business but surprisingly there wasn't. JUST FRESH AND CLEAN. Sandra then worked her magic with reflexology massage therapy on my feet and then massaging my abdomen to help promote the process. I was thoroughly impressed with her efficiency and how seemless her approach was, it was a great experience! I initially came in for one treatment, but ended up buying a series of four treatments... Customer service was top notch. Everyone from the front check in desk to the ladies helping to restock towels and bathroom amenities were all professional and helpful. I opted to try their new Aescape massage which is a massage conducted by a robot. You are given workout attire to wear and once in the room, you lie down and start your self guided and customizable massage controlled by the tablet in front of you. It scans your body and shows you visually which part of the body the robot is working out. You can control the pressure, type of music, and area you want to focus on. The robot's hands are heated so it felt like a human was massaging me! I wouldn't say it's equivalent to a human masseuse but worth a try! TIP: make sure to have ride share drop you off by the Augustus Tower. Once you enter, take the elevator up to the spa floor. Unfortunately ride share will only pick you up at the coliseum valet which is on the other side of the hotel so do not order your ride share until you're closer to that location.

After a previous issue during an earlier visit, Catherine Lazarou, the Director of Spa and Wellness, went above and beyond to address the situation. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication to customer service truly exemplify what outstanding leadership looks like. Because of Catherine's care and attention, my sisters and I were invited back to experience their newly upgraded facilities -- including the incredible Aescape massage service -- and we absolutely loved it. The upgrades are beautifully done, the atmosphere is relaxing and luxurious, and the entire experience completely transformed our perception of the spa.
