Their system is quite good, but it's quite expensive. I spend nearly $1,300 a year replacing the machine's filters, and they only accept credit cards. The tax on credit cards is 8.9%, not 8.875%, plus an additional 3%, which is nearly $100 more than when I paid in cash. read more

Terrible! So unhappy with their customer service. Each year they raise the prices and I would not recommend getting this system from this company. It has been a disaster. Feels like a total scam and I would stay very far away. This is my first time ever leaving a review but I felt like I had no choice because of the terrible service that I've had. read more

No price transparency, abysmal customer service, they insult customers if you are having issues with them, have no guarantee on their products and no quantifiable data that they work properly. They sell systems that are not compatible and don't warn about potential issues common in areas like NYC. Their business model is to bait customers and then have them on the hook for thousands of dollars in technician and maintenance costs. A $300 shower filter system ended up costing me roughly $1,300 to maintain. They come up with baseless conclusions to your issue without even sending a tech to determine and then throw you a bone and think the problem is solved. Don't fall into their trap. read more

when they first installed my system underneath my counter, I woke up and there was water all over the floor and inside my new cabinets. They came out and repaired the leak. Now I'm trying to get in touch with them because my filtering system needs to be serviced. I've been calling for three days and no one calls back. This is got to be the worst Customer Service I've ever experienced. read more

This company is the worst company!!! Don't let them fool you with those extremely high prizes. just a warning: the plastic Kinetico system installed by Aqualife through Home Depot burst and flooded my basement with 1 foot of water, the filter was installed using plastic pipes and did not have automatic shut off valve!!! I have been enjoying our Kinetico water filter system provided to us by Aqualife since January 2017. The water tastes great and it's much nicer having clean filtered and alkaline water right from an elegant faucet right next to our regular faucet. It is definitely the Mercedes of water filter systems, but you get what you pay for. They have different payment plans for each budget. We bought ours outright, but I believe they have a monthly plan as well. There is a yearly fee for someone to come out and change the filters plus whatever additional add ons you want like turning the water Alkaline which we upgraded to because we believe it's important. I want to give a special shout out to our installation technician, Kostya, who originally installed our system under the sink and who has come back twice because I personally requested him. He's the best! We recently had an issue and it was resolved in a very fair and timely manner. Thank you again for your professionalism. We are happy to be Aqualife customers for years to come. I just wish I could convince my downstairs neighbor to go half on a whole house water filter system with me :) read more

Igor is professional, clean, neat, respectful, doesn't waste time. Arrives promptly, gets to work, disposes of the used filters properly, finishes, checks his work. Performs & explains the water chlorine test, shows me the readings of the water cleanliness comparison to tap water..at the beginning. Excellent worker. He is an asset to your company. I was looking for a water testing in my home. I set up an appointment for FREE TESTING WATER. First of all, is not a FREE TESTING water, is really an visit sales!! just because I told him that I got a water filter, he started to underestimate my appliance. Saying is not even a water filter. And mumbling that was a waste of time to come to my house.. He didn't show up on time. But he gave me really hard time.. Really? if this is just of the salesperson.. So here's the deal.... They come to service your system and tell you that if you give them a nice review on Google or Yelp, they will give you an inline shower filter....great! They even gave me a water bottle! When done with the service, he try's to sell you a $250 shower head.....I decline. I then ask what I owe for the service, $217 he tells me, which I vaguely remember was the price from last year. He gets on the phone with the office (in Russian) while I write out the check, then suddenly tells me it's now $250! Why I say? He doesn't know? I know why, because I didn't buy their overpriced shower-head and now have to pay for the free bottle and filter! I called the office to find out why there was a 15% increase in the filter service and was told I would be called back......didn't happen. Sent an email.....nothing. So here's your $33 review.......enjoy! read more

I have been Aqualife customer for many years. It feels very good to have clean water at home all the time. Customer service is excellent. Bought a new system 7 years ago. Was never told that maintenance will go up every year and filter change is recommended as well for additional cost. Recently I moved and it cost me almost $500 to move the system (we paid it off, that is the only reason we decided to take the system with us), which i was never told either. Pressure was low and we called the service. They said that $75 will be required if the problem is not their fault, which it was. Not only did the tech not fix it but after he left the tank began to leak. Called again and was told to pay additional hundreds of dollars because all of a sudden our warranty is expired. We were not told anything about warranty less then a month ago while paying them $500 to transfer the system. Please do not waste your money with this company. Definitely the worst service and the product not worth half of what it cost to maintain it!!!!! read more

Aqualife equipment was installed in my apartment about 6 months ago. I really love the quality of the water and the shower head is amazing. After the shower, my skin is not dry and my hear is soft. Truly amazing. Highly recommend. I even consider buying a shower heads filters for my close friends and family. I've had no problem with the system since it was installed. Just changed the filters. Both technicians I met are very knowledgeable and nice. I highly recommend the company and the water systems they have. read more

Worst company ever! Stop wasting your $$. Go to homedepot a get a Reverse osmosis system for $200. I used this company's services for 5 years. Since last few months the system wasn't working at all. The tank never filled up over night. Called the customer service 4-5 times to get a technician over, who comes and tells me there is a problem with the water coming from NYC. He accused NYC DEP, the next visit he says it my building. On 3rd visit he told me the tank is too small and its going to he $240 for 2g tank. What he forgot was to change the filter that is separate from the system. Which is totally black and doesn't let the water even enter the system. They asked for monthly $$ and extra $35 for every visit. I had to call technician every 2 weeks. Thats $70 a month just for technician. Upon asking to cancle my service, the lady tells me its $200 to cancle the service. Again worst company ever. Go to HomeDepot buy the Filter system for $200. I'm not advertising homdepot but Aqualife sells the same system for couple of thousands dollars. http://www.homedepot.com/p/APEC-Water-Systems-Essence-Premium-Quality-5-Stage-Under-Sink-Reverse-Osmosis-Drinking-Water-Filter-System-ROES-50/206275647 This is the system. The company is a pure scam. I suspect that the only people leaving decent reviews are the ones that get gifts in exchange for good reviews. I got offered a few gifts as well in exchange for a positive feedback. They should be investigated for financial fraud. The company doesn't disclose the true servicing costs for their water systems. For just a plain water filter in your kitchen you have to pay $295 for every 500 gallons of filtered water, which stops running until you replace the basic filter. In addition to that basic filter you have to pay around $400 each year for the filter that removes traces of medicine and chemicals, the costs, which they don't disclose at all during the installation. Also there is an additional filter that replenishes minerals into filtered water that costs and additional $200 per annum. So all in all in addition to the purchase price be prepared to spend an additional $1200 per annum for Filters/ servicing. In case you decide to install the filtration system in your whole house that removes chlorine from your water you looking at an additional $800 in servicing costs just to maintain that. Also they don't tell you any of that or ask you if you want the replacements done until it's all installed/serviced and its time to pay. They shock you with the bill and the technician won't leave until it's fully paid for. In case their system breaks/ leaks, it's pretty challenging to get anyone to come out and service you right away. The water filter under my sink started leaking pretty heavily. The customer service rep kept convincing me that it's my pipes that are leaking and I should get someone to fix it first before I call them and that their first available appointment in my area was almost a month away. It took many phone calls as well as pictures that I had to send them via email to convince them to come out and fix the leaking filter. Before you commit to work with this company do your research. They are a dishonest company with zero true cost transparency and lousy customer service. read more

The filters they use and charge you an arm and a leg for you can buy your self on line for 10% of what they charge, they are china made and do very little, I had the filter checked by a professional, very poor low grade quality. The WORST WORST WORST company to deal with. Please think million times before you even contact this company. I bought their water system, I wasn't happy with it, and wanted to return it. Apparently that's not an option. The owner was threaten me that he has my social security number. And that he will drag me you court. He talked to me like a mafia gangster, not like a respectful business owner. I can't believe that I am stuck with a 3000$ machine that doesn't work, and I can't do nothing about it. BE CAREFUL. On top of it when I bought it, the sales rep "forgot"to tell me that they charging me every time they come to change anything in the system. I have had the kinetico system for years and installing it was a very wise decision but what is truly amazing is the maintenance that this company provides . Today i had a technician who's name is Sergiy come in to replace the filters. He was incredibly friendly and professional. He did a beautiful job as you can tell by the photo below. He went the extra mile so to speak. I have never had a better experience dealing with a company. I would highly recommend the kinetico system for anyone who is concerned with health benefits but beyond that you will never be disappointed with the maintenance service. On contrary I can pretty much guarantee (based on personal experience) that whoever has the pleasure in installing this system will be blown away by the service. All the technicians have been great throughout the years but Sergiy was by far the best. I thank him for his diligence and the extra time and attention he dedicated.... we are exposed to so much pollution on the daily basis out in the world so knowing that I can come home and drink pure water as well as bathe with water that has these incredible filters that use innovative concepts such as 9,000 lemons and minerals that protect my skin and eliminate the chlorine. Anyone who installs this system will be beyond satisfied.... I certainly am. Thank you Sergiy read more

I have the water filters it cost me a lot of money because when they arrive they make you look pretty. At first they give you the salt for purification but later they don't even answer the phone because that salt runs out very quickly to me they told me that they They were going to give the salt afterwards they told me that I had to pay 3 dollars for each bag and now they no longer give it to me and each salt costs 30 dollars and it enters like 15 to 20 bags in the filter tank well imagine how much it will cost us I definitely do not recommend read more

I have had my K5 for about 5 years and have not at all regretted the price tag. I live in NY and we tend to have much sediment in our water - thanks to those old pipes. I have tried several other common household filters from the 6 month self changing filters to ceramic filters. Each of these would clog up closer to 2 months and were thus not viable. This unit gets serviced once a year and I am confident I am getting the best water you can at home. No other maintenance, never had an issue, and the water has always been consistently clean tasting. In fact, my family bottles up the water from home and take to work/events. Now you do need to understand this filter is not cheap, but if you were looking for a cheap water filters you would not be looking here. I am not a snob and am not putting down the other filters. I have just gone through at least 3 other name brand general water filters and they were not effective enough here. Bottom line, if can afford the space (it does take a good portion under the sink) and the cost (it's an investment) you will not regret and end up with the best and safest water in town. Now I have talked about the product, I just wanted to give a shout out to Aqualife. Every technician has installed/services my filter without issue. My latest filter change was by Igor. He was able to answer any questions, was friendly and took his time to do the job right. read more

One of a few pros- The company puts really good water cleaning systems in as well as most of their service people are nice, polite and knowledgeable. However they omit to disclose most critical information that potentially causes new clients to spend way more money that they budgeted for. What the company tells you when a client buys their water filtration system is that it needs to be serviced approximately once a year. Which is far from the truth. The water system stops dispensing water once you have used up 500 gallons of water, which can happen within 3 or 4 months ( the way it happened for me) if you have a large family or cook a lot. At which point you need to pay $295 for service to replace their filter or else you won't get anymore filtered water. So in addition to a pricey water system you need to shell out an additional $600-$900 per year to service it. That was never disclosed to me. I am sure it is listed somewhere in a fine print in the papers they give you. . Also, when you change your filters every 3-4 months they come out practically clean, which also tells me that it's a total scam on a company's part. There are way better options for clean water than this company. read more

We recently purchased the Aqualife K5 (Platinum Edition) Drinking Water System and the whole house filtration system from Kinetico. Immediately, there has been a significant and very noticeable change in the taste and feel of the water and, of course, in the water quality itself (which we regularly test with a meter that was provided us as part of the package). We purchased the system through Michael Gorbach who is not only very knowledgeable in this overall area but also in the product itself. He thoroughly, in great detail and in plain English explained exactly how the system works and all of its resultant health benefits. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend this specific reverse osmosis system and, in particular, I encourage prospective buyers to speak specifically with Michael. You will not be disappointed. Without it, we can't enjoy anything. Even if we are rich , with lots of money, money simply won't give us joy of life we can experience without being healthy. Whatever we put into our body or absorb it through our skin is essential to our health, especially the water- after all, our body consists of 80% of water!
