I recently purchase an aquarium, the necessary paraphernalia and (after having cycled my tank off course) a red and white fantail goldfish (called "Mo"). The staff were really really nice and very helpful...I cannot rave about it enough. They have lots of choice too (fish / plant / tank etc).

The admission price is such a good deal! Standard price at the door is £10.75 (around $13) and if you buy your tickets online it's only £8.60 ( around $11) For kids (Aged 3-12) (Must be accompanied by an adult) £8.25 (around $10) at the door and £6.60 (around $8) online. The aquarium itself is not very large but when we went it was not crowded at all. This place is definitely a hidden gem! There are so many sea life exhibits to see such as seahorses, sharks, jellyfish, and even reptiles like frogs, chameleons, a python and even a bearded dragon! There is a cool underwater tunnel where you can see reef sharks, stingrays, and colorful fish swimming over and all around. The staff there were also so helpful and friendly! The aquarium is open everyday except Christmas Day from 10 am to 5 pm. There is also parking located right in front of the aquarium where you can pay for parking. I probably spent a good chunk of my time here. I also liked the shark exhibit. Seeing sharks swim around a shipwreck was neat. The jellyfish exhibit was also amazing. It's the UK's largest jellyfish experience. I enjoyed watching them float around. Oh, the seahorses were fun. I saw the suck up shrimps with their snouts, which was different. I normally see them swimming around. I spent a lot of time at the gift shop. I ended up getting a keychain and a small penguin plushie. When I arrived at the ticketing office, I was told that one of the tanks would be closed for refurbishment. However, they didn't stress that it wasn't just one small tank, but an entire section of the aquarium. With such a large section of the aquarium closed, it was an absolute waste of £20. While the architecture is pretty, Sea Life is way overpriced for what you see. With the refurb going on, the flow of the place was messed up and the signs directing you where to go were not clear. I am hoping that I accidentally missed a section, because otherwise I paid £20 to see 2 rooms of fish. The only time I ran into staff members was in the ticketing office and gift shop, so there wasn't anyone I could have asked for directions. This place might be worth the pricey ticket after the refurbishment is complete, but until then I would skip SeaLife in favor of some of the other attractions in Brighton.

Hemsley is a new conservation zoo that has just started up in Kent so at present there is not many…read moreanimals and the whole area is very small. However don't let this put you off as I highly recommend to anyone to visit as the way they have laid out their small zoo is so unique and quaint. I love the way it looks like you are in some sort of African village with its huts. Each hut contains a different animal and some animals you can't even see at other zoos in England due to it being so unique for example they have two male tree porcupines and two kinkajous (and one which loves going out in the day which they don't usually). They also have many experiences feeding meercats, feeding the tree porcupine, feeding the kinkajou, feeding lemurs and interacting with reptiles with many others to be added. You can either buy before your visit or you can buy on day (at a cheaper rate if they have a time slot available for the animal you wish to do a experience with). I done the tree porcupine and I highly recommend to anyone to do it they are so unique and different to any other porcupine / hedgehog. Also these are the only tree porcupines in the whole of England. You can also do on day feed the Lorikeets for £1 a pot ask at front desk. However if feeding animals is not your thing you can adopt a animal instead. All money raised helps the young team of people that run the conservation in being a big part in the ongoing battle to protect and save threatened animals and their habitats. They are looking to expand in the next couple of years with many new endangered animals / species to join them. Some future animals on the list to joint hem is the wolf, wild cats and bear cat. The staff are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak to especially James who was so interesting and knew everything about the animals on site. I highly recommend anyone that loves animals to go along and see the animals and Hemsley.
