Reading other reviews here, it seems like Aqua Pro got their act together. My partner and I looked around Central Indiana for a long time, comparing different hot tubs. The ones at Aqua Pro were slightly more expensive than some we saw, but were also of higher quality; we wanted a projected ten year hot tub with low operating costs over that period. Three years ago, we bought it. It wasn't cheap. It has to be installed into a very tight spot. They did it. We had no trouble with it at all, indeed its operating costs were almost half of the ancient spa it replaced. Then, this week, we had it moved a block away to a new place. Extracting it was difficult because of the tight spot. It took a bit of effort, but they did it without any problem, hauling it and installing it at its new location. The price wasn't cheap, but unlike others here (and I'm not discounting other Yelper problems, only documenting my success), we've had good service in our application, which is the hot tub, its reliability, and their moving service. Our experiences were good. It's not the low cost alternative and their premium hot tub has worked without problem in both locations with far lower power consumption and high reliability. They're not cheap but they did the job correctly and have good communications. read more

Fantastic selection of hot tubs. The staff is always so friendly and helpful whenever I go in or call with a question. Would highly recommend! read more

After spending over $45,000 with these folks I regret my decision deeply, The communication was great while I was paying them and then after I paid you cannot get a hold of them whatsoever. The lady owner is extremely rude, I will never call back again.. read more

Horrible they dumped all the leaves in my pool and then they did not like my bad review because I was up set that when removing the cover they did not clean off leave and just dump. Why pay for half butt service. read more

Aqua Amateurs! Could not figure out why our pumps were setting off the breakers / but could leave the water hose running to flood the hot tub, the yard, and the neighbor yard!!!!! When discussing the issue with the store were told we have to call their service department! Somehow the $180 in bills made it to the right place!!!! Clearly priority is billing and NOT service! :-( read more

We ordered our spalls at end of February ,right before the virus started, coming from California the state was shut downs it took a little longer than expected but we finally received our spa in June and during all this delayed time we kept in vary good contract with Aqua Spalls .They kept us to date and felt they did an excellent job of taking care of us, they went out of their way to do the right thing , and we are NOW ,LOVING our new swim spa read more

Terrible experience all around. Manager (owner?) Brian is a liar. Will say anything to sell you a hot tub, and then offer to repurchase your tub at a fraction of its cost. The tub has been nothing but problems, and I regret ever working with this company. Update: I had my hot tub scheduled to be winterized, when Brian called to berate me for my angry Yelp! Review. He demanded payment before doing any work since he did not trust me. He pointed to his 100s of satisfied customers and said I was in the minority and must just be neglecting my hot tub. So I guess if you are in the market for a hot tub and a scolding, Aqua Pro is the way to go. read more

We just bought a hot-tub Saturday- Brian was awesome! super easy to work with, not pushy, walked us right through the steps we needed to make it work! read more

I purchased a pool thru this company. They low ball the price based on unrealistic allocations. When they finish you start getting bills from their subcontractors. I am threatened with a mechanical lien against my home if I don't pay the electricians $1700. They cannt discuss the bill with you becuase they contract with Aquapro but Aquapro refuses to pay them above the allocation. Same with fill dirt and concrete work. Stay away from this group. The subcontractors refered to them as shysters. Jason J is correct, they are totally responsive until they start work and then they drag the work out for months and do not communicate. They even say they will open and close the pool the first year, they do but you get billed hundreds for parts. I cannot overstate my dissatisfaction. Stay away, stay very far away. read more

Simply the worst customer service I've ever experienced! I have a lot to say about this business so will separate my comments by (1) customer service, (2) quality, and (3) price. There are many other pool companies to choose from in Bloomington - I strongly suggest you take your business somewhere else! 1. Customer Service - I can't stress this enough - the WORST customer service! It generally takes multiple calls to get through to someone, they don't respond to voicemails, and they aren't consistent. They had ordered a part for my pool equipment and I was told that the part was on back order, then told that I didn't need the part, then told it was on back order again, then told that it had been in few a few weeks and then finally told that the part didn't fix the issue at all. During the course of all this mess, I asked to speak to the owner and the response I received was "I don't even know who the owner is". Really!? They also have an issue with scheduling appointments. They rarely show up on the day they say they will and then never bother to call to update you on an updated appointment date. Sometimes it may even be weeks after your originally scheduled appointment so good luck getting your pool up and running if you have an issue during their busy spring/summer season! 2. Quality - The quality of their staff and products are both poor. The technicians that they send out are very inexperienced and I've never had them able to fix the issue on the first visit (therefore you pay for multiple service calls). The quality of their management is even worse - no apologies made for issues, extremely poor communication, and a hateful dismissive attitude. The products that they sell are of the lowest quality in the pool industry - some of them are literally the cheapest you can buy (and you get what you pay for). The products seem to last just about the life of the warranty and then AquaPro won't stand behind major issues when they arise. 3. Price - Their prices are about average for the Bloomington market or maybe even slightly less than their competitors. As stated above, the products that they sell are some of the cheapest (both in price and quality) on the market. Their service charges are also a bit less; however, you'll end up paying for multiple visits because they can never fix the issue on the first try. read more

Until recently I've always had a good relationship with this company. Recently I went in and the fellow who has normally there wasn't there, a lady was there who believe she is all knowing and controls the conversation. With 40 years of experience in doing business as an adult I have learned that when the customer has no ability to have input on the purchase offend the customer is disappointed in the results and often pays more than necessary. I sadiness me that this one time good business is going down to a two star average rating. read more

I also had posted a review here a couple of years ago that somehow has disappeared. All I can recommend is that if you're considering a pool company do not do business with Aqua Pro. One reviewer commented on how great Alex is and I totally agree, but Brian is as dishonest and clever as they come, a real schmoozer salesman but horrible at customer service and taking responsibility for issues that they create! We had a pool liner installed that leaked from day one that they never fixed--I could go in to details but I don't want to get my blood pressure up again. Never use this company is my only recommendation. read more

We had a new liner installed by Aqua Pro. They assured us they could fill from our pond with no problems. We questioned them but were assured it would be no problem. After it was done, we discover phosphate levels are extreme because of the pond water, and spent the next 3 weeks changing the filter over 30 times (due to a thick scum caused by the phosphates gelling), soaking them in muriatic acid to remove the phosphate scum, and regretting our approval to use pond water. When we approached one of the employees, he told us in confidence that he had spoken with their chemical supplier and was told that pond water should NEVER be used to fill a pool. This was confirmed through calls to 3 other pool companies. We spoke to the owner of Aqua Pro, and all he did was shrug his shoulders. We asked if he would do anything to help us with the expense the pond water had cost us in filters, chemicals, etc. He said no- he would know better next time. Then, a fluke accident- a branch fell from a tree, punctured the corner of the liner, and emptied the pool in hours. 2 golf ball size holes and a square foot of sand bedding washed out. We had only had the liner in the pool for 6 weeks. We went back to Aqua Pro. They informed us that there was no way to pull back liner and repair- that it would stretch and not work- and that we had to replace the liner. This advice was given over the phone- they never even came out to see the damage! We called Indiana Pools and Spas; it was Saturday at 1:00. They came out within an hour. They assured us that a liner has a one year memory - it tries to pull back to original shape so repair would be no problem. They took down the side of the liner, repaired it and put it back. By 7:30 pm we had the pool filled and we were balancing the chemicals. BTW, we asked them if they wanted to fill from the pond- their comment "No professional pool company would ever do that! ". Oh- while the liner was pulled back, we found that a substandard job had been done by Aqua Pro. No plastic was installed at the base edge, the metal rim was oxidizing; they had cleaned it but had not done a zinc sealant- this will lead to premature failure of the pool wall. The only way to correct the problem would be to completely remove the new liner, repair the wall, then put a new liner in since total removal of the liner could make it impossible to reinstall. If you get an opinion from Aqua Pro, get a second opinion. It will likely save you time, frustration and a lot of money! We are very easy people to get along with- but this company has given us bad advice on 2 occasions, cost us a lot of time and grief, and made it clear they had no intention of working with us. Worst company I have ever dealt with! read more

Horrible company. Scheduled service to close our pool two weeks beforehand. Would not confirm a time frame for service when I called on my date outside of "somewhere between 8 and 6" and then did not show up and did not call. They then came back the next day and broke into our property to close the pool while we were not home, again without calling. Also left an empty bottle and spilled chemicals all over the yard which later made the dog sick. My wife attempted to complain, but could never get a hold of the manager and no one at any point seemed to care about their poor service. Avoid at all costs! One of the worst experiences with a business I've ever had. read more

Not sure how Brian did it but he was somehow able to get my first review deleted. I won't go into all the detail but suffice it to say I will never use their company again. I simply wanted them to replace an above ground pool liner. Now my beautiful surround deck does not line up with the pool. At first Brian said he agreed with me but when it was time for something to be done, he said, sorry, just the nature of this business. I can safely say I will never do business with Brian or his company again!! read more

Gave me a one good price for service. Did the and I tried to pay the repair man cash money when he was finished but wouldn't take my money. 3 days later I received a bill for triple tha original price. Called manager and he laughed at me and said thats why they call it on estimate. I offered the original quote but wanted payment in full immediately. Did not pay the man at all because. He won't take my money. Did not pay the bill. He turned me to a collection company still haven't payed and not going to. If dealing with this company beware. D Hendrickson. read more

First of all they sent out dumb and dumber. I wanted them to re-do my pump lever's and hook pump back up. First trip the inexperience employees stated they did not have any tools to work on the pump and that the next time it would be another employee that would have everything needed to do the work. They stated I would not be charged for this trip. Then I received the bill for that worthless trip. Had to call them and go over what had happened, they were not happy about it, but took the charge off. I again explained what I needed done, let them know dumb and dumber took pictures of the pump to show the next workers that would come out and made another appointment. Two young men showed up at the next appointment. I stated again what I needed, they said no problem. They were in and out within 20 mins and we were ready for summer pool time. I was thrilled. However, they just put plastic levers on the pump that can't be turned without stripping them, and now I have no suction to get the pool clean. So frustrating, now I'm forced to call them back and have them come back out. read more

Despite hoping that somehow I could get the services I paid for from Aqua Pro Pools and Spa, I found that I needed to find a new place of business to deal with my pool needs. Appointments were not kept. Work was done in a shoddy manner, and when asked about what they did / needed to do, I got conflicting answers from everyone involved. I did NOT get the pool closing or opening that was advertised, and lost a month and a half of perfect pool time waiting for people who just couldn't seem to show up or know what they were doing. Once, shame on you, twice shame on me. I won't be spending my money with Aqua again. read more

I agree with Jed. I would give no stars but if I could. They came out and inspected my pool (not my choice home buyer choice) and said it was leaking (false) turned the pump/filter off for almost 2 weeks and capped everything. Water level did not go down. I had to call them and tell them to come back and uncap everything, guess they forgot. Then they couldn't get the pool pump running. Owner told me that it was burned up. Keep in mind he never came out to my house at anytime. Called Indiana pools and spas and they came out and had the pump running in 5 minutes. He then sent another employee to my house and I told them I had the pump running by Indiana pools and spa. The employee said "he never listens to anyone". If you use this guy. GOOD LUCK!!!!! read more

They charged me $115 for a service call to come out and diagnose the problem, and an additional $115 of labor to actually fix the issue later once the faulty part was purchased. For a total of about 2-2.5 hours, that ended up costing me $230 in labor, not including the cost of the part. Too expensive and feels like double charging to me, and didn't understand this up front. read more

We hired them to install a new pool liner in our above ground pool. So the pool liner was falling down and we called them and they said we needed lock liner installed because it was old and the old liner stretched it out. So they were to be there on Tuesday and they were late but said they couldn't do the job they needed a pump ok why did you not bring it with you....so then they they said they would be back on Wednesday and they never showed up my Mother who does dialysis waits up all day on them and they never showed so she called and was told they would be back the next day. The next day came and guess what they still were not there so Jared called my mom and told her they talked to my Husband and he said it was ok to put in the wrong liner and called my husband a liar. I go into the store after calling Jared to be told again my husband was a liar, so he called Alex and he said no we never spoke to her husband and they have the right liner. So he then says he's sorry blah blah ( i have this on video) then he promises they will be out there to do the job and they will call Conder water service to get us water to fill our pool back up (which I also have on video). So he then calls my mother and says that they won't come out until I remove my bad review on FB and Google. So then he tells her that they cannot get the water company is on vacation so I called the water company and surprise they were not on vacation. So I call Jared again and he says sorry he dropped the ball on the water company and screams and yells at me. Then calls my Mother leaving her threatening voicemail's and text messages knowing that she is sick and doesn't need this . So then one night after the they close at 6:00 he starts sending my Mom more threatening texts about my reviews. Well they were to come back and fix a piece of the liner lock that came off but never did. So we called another pool company who said it looked like a bunch of kids installed our liner. So yeah DUMB and DUMBER!!! Save your time and the headache hire real professionals this used to be a good pool company but not anymore. And Brian the owner isn't any better. Not real sure he is an owner were were told it was actually David Vansant. Not sure this place is full of lies!! read more

I've been using Aqua Pro to open and close our pool for about 6 years so when it came time to install a new liner I hired them. I wish I had read these reviews before I did that. Last June they installed the new liner which leaked from day one. They came out with their detection equipment and never found anything so just calked up around gaskets, ladder, exchanges, etc. but still the leak continued at the rate of 1/4" per day, even after shutting the pool down to determine if the leak was in the lines somewhere, it wasn't. The leak was left unfixed when they came to close the pool in October even though I expressed my concern to the guys that it was still leaking. I found out this spring from the service guy who had come to open our pool--which was not possible because the water level had dropped so low over the winter that the autocover was so low due to low water levels that I couldn't open it--that they could have brought in a guy from Indy to dive to find the leak (which if you read one of the not recommended reviews below you will see that they found his leak in 10 minutes!). Apparently they didn't want to take responsibility and pay the $500 dollars to have the guy come down, instead they'd rather deal with a very disgruntled and formerly good customer. Now they're even refusing to refund the initial amount that I've paid to them so that I can have someone who cares to give good customer service come and install the liner properly. Instead they want me to hire someone to fix a non existent problem of ground water for $3000! Do not trust these guys. The field guys don't communicate with the office people and everyone tells you something different. Bad, bad, bad business operations. At this point I have nothing good to say and only gave it 1 star because that's the only option I have, it would be negative stars if the option were available! read more

We have had long-term experience with this company. We initially used them for cleaning and water balance, and things went well. But, as they became busier over the years, their customer service went to hell. They missed multiple scheduled maintenance visits resulting in at least two pool-turnovers with algae, requiring expenses to fix, and loss of use. We should have been smarter, but decided to use them to replace the liner in our in-ground pool. The liner leaked from the first day, but was just as the winter started, so we didn't notice initially. Needless to say, after 2+ years and multiple visits/promises/excuses, we hired our own person from Indy to find the leak. He found it in less than 10 minutes - a gasket had never been placed at the pool light. Years of BS from Aqua-Pro, and this guy finds their mistake in 10 minutes. Requests to Aqua-Pro for compensation have of course been completely ignored. So, if you want to bring water in for analysis, I am sure their machine can help. If you want consistent care of your pool, a new liner, or simple honesty - look elsewhere. read more
