The Good: I selected Dr. Dev because he believes in breast implant illness, his surgical skills, and wonderful personality. Dr. Dev truly has a positive light and wonderful vibe about him, which I found reassuring. The office in Miami downtown is very beautiful and peaceful. The staff was very helpful up front. My surgery went well overall and I'm pleased with my recovery. The Bad: There was some miscommunication issues regarding my medical records, but that was resolved very quickly, once I reached out to Beatrice. The Ugly: Anesthesia. My interaction with Krystal, unfortunately, was a negative one because she didn't feel necessary to explain to me which meds I would be receiving. My post-op pain management could have been better. And lastly, I found Krystal's endearing names cringe worthy and condensing. Post-op follow up: As an out of town patient, I was given a 3 months-out for an appointment call with Dr. Dev. I found the length of time unreasonably long. No inquire calls were made about my health prior to the 3 month's mark. I think the issue that sticks out most, for me, is the follow up care for an out of town patient. Hopefully, this was just an oversight in my case, otherwise, in my opinion, this is an area where Dr. Dev's office could invest a bit more effort. read more

Male Liposuction: Overall, I was not satisfied with my results. I had my consultation with Dr. Deziel. During our conversation, I was specific with what I wanted. I made it clear I was interested in liposuction around my midsection, especially my flanks(love handles). During our conversation I noticed she was not taking notes, but she assured me that I would be happy with my results. I scheduled the procedure for September of 2023. After the surgery, I returned for my post op visits. During each visit, I stressed that I was not happy with the results because I wasn't noticing any difference. Her response was always, "you still have swelling. During my six month visit, I expressed that I was not seeing any change and her response was "your still swollen". She then tells me that if I'm not happy, I can go in for a revision at extra cost of course. Since my six month visit, I have not been scheduled for my year end post op visit. I feel I have been dismissed and at this point ignored because of my constant complaint. It's been a year and I still do not see any difference. I blame my results on Dr. Deziel's inexperience and the fact that she is not board certified. I will never refer anyone to this facility. She simply does not have technique nor experience! read more

Amazing experience by Dr. Rankin. He is worth the wait- believe me. I checked most of all the BII symptoms and was in desperate need to get an explant and lift. I trusted Dr. Rankin and booked my surgery without even seeing him first- based on the reviews/word of mouth. Well, he did not disappoint. The entire staff made the procedure efficient, smooth and not stressful. They were there to answer every question, every doubt, every concern. I arrived to my surgery at 8AM and by 12:30PM I was already out. I am 9 days PO and already feel and look so much better. I had my explant and lift with Dr. Rankin in May. I am 8 weeks post op and I feel and look great. The doctor and his staff were so comforting and kind. I flew from San Diego to Jupiter, FL and waited 10 months for my surgery! I trusted them and just went with the flow until my surgery day. The logistics of travels, medication, etc. was all worth it and pretty easy to plan. I suffered from breast implant illness for years before finding Aqua and Dr. rankin. Thanks to him and Dee, I feel more like myself than I ever have. This was the worst consultation I have ever been to. I had my surgery scheduled with one of the top plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, Dr David Kim and then I moved back to WPB for work so I made a few consultations to find a new Dr. First my appointment was at 1pm and they brought me into the room and no one introduced themself. I sat topless in a cold room until someone came in at 1:30 (I can't believe I actually waited that long). Dr. Rankin came in and seemed very bothered. I had to ask him about size, profile, incisions, everything you can think of. He didn't provide me with any information. Luckily I have done a ton of research. All he did was measure me. I felt like a piece of meat in the assembly line. Our entire conversation lasted 5 minutes. The surgery is done there and it is so busy. He also runs a med spa there and there is just a lot of foot traffic. I could just imagine how it would be after surgery. You can tell he's in a rush because there is so much going on. After the coordinator just told me the price and that was it. She didn't go over the procedure, post op, pre op etc. Between previously living in West Palm Beach and LA, this was the 5th consultation I have been to and by far the worst. I had an amazing experience as Dr. Dev's patient during my explant breast surgery. He is such a caring and compassionate doctor. I had implants for about 7 years and was going to have a breast revision with another doctor in California because one of my breast implant pockets had opened 4 years ago and it caused the left implant to drop lower than my right one. However, after I had put the down payment for my breast revision that was scheduled for 2/28/20 in CA I realized that I no longer wanted to keep my implants in. I had been experiencing weird mild symptoms about 2 years after my breast augmentation. I started experiencing pain on my breast, numbness, palpitations, shortness of breath, sinus infections, headaches, fatigue, weight gain, an episode of vertigo, and feeling really tired. The symptoms didn't start all at once. They started little by little and I honestly didn't think too much of it and after having multiple tests done (heart monitor, ECG, labs, etc.) everything came back normal. Nobody was able to tell me why I was experiencing those symptoms since I was so young, exercised 5-6 times per week and ate healthy. I am a nurse myself and felt truly hopeless with what was going on and little by little got a little depressed and more anxious. I could no longer exercise because my shortness of breath and the pain I was having on both of my breast. I found the Breast Implant Illness (BII) group and realized that a lot of other women were experiencing similar symptoms as me. After reading everyone's experience with their implants I came to the realization that even though my symptoms weren't as severe as other women I had to do something about it and get them removed. I cancelled my breast revision surgery in CA and decided to do my explant surgery with Dr. Dev in FL. I live in Washington State and I travelled really far to have the best care possible. I am so glad I did because Dr. Dev and his staff exceeded my expectations. I was scheduled to have the explant in May 2020 with Dr. Dev, but I couldn't wait that long. His staff accommodated me and changed my surgery to January 28, 2020 so my husband could be there with me since he is military and wouldn't be home in May. I was really scared of having the explant surgery and what I was going to look like after having my implants removed. I thought Dr. Dev was going to need to do a lift since I had 475cc on each breast, but his recommendation was not to do a lift. I was hesitant at first because I didn't want to have loose skin and asked him to still do the lift. He insisted that it wasn't necessary, and I am so glad I listened to him because I look the same way I did before I got implants. I know any other plastic surgeon would have told me that I would need a lift, but Dr. Dev is not that kind of doctor. He truly cares about the well-being of his patients and not about doing unnecessary procedures to make extra money. Thanks to Dr. Dev I have my life back, I can exercise without having shortness of breath and do push-ups without any pain. I was able to lose weight after not being able to lose a single pound for so long. I know that a lot of doctors do not believe in BII, but how is it that I no longer experience any of the symptoms I mentioned earlier after explanting? I feel better than ever and I don't regret removing those toxic bags. I am only 27 years old and I can say I feel like a brand-new woman after my surgery. Don't think I'd trust these people to part my hair let alone perform any type of procedure. When I called the person who answered the phone said they did not do Trusculpt, but would check. Someone eventually came to the phone and said someone would call me back. I did not receive a call back, their hours are posted as open to 7pm yet they are not picking up the phone. If it's this hard now, I can't imagine needing their help. I will keep looking. read more

Two months ago it started, the voice in my head, and every day it was getting louder and louder and I had been thinking longer and harder and every day I watched the days click by dragging me closer and closer to another birthday and when I got up in the morning and looked in the mirror the voice was screaming,"I BETTER FIND SOMETHING TO CHASE THAT STRANGER AWAY WHO KEEPS LOOKING AT ME IN THE MIRROR - WHO IS SHE??" , heaven knows, I didn't recognize the old lady who was living in my mirror - who was this bitch and what had she done with my face?! I couldn't believe it was me , that was far too depressing. But, that was the sad truth and by not dealing with the truth sooner and avoiding going to see a doctor for so long, I had no idea what , if anything , I could do to get my face released from being held hostage by that "old lady time". I had to find a way that wasn't terribly invasive, so I could get back a more youthful appearance and do it BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY! Otherwise , I knew my birthday would not be something I'd want to celebrate. I also knew that starting off a new year on ones birthday should be done with enthusiasm as a celebration to show your appreciation for being alive and a sense of excitement knowing your here to explore more of this great adventure called life. But because I'm not very familiar with the options, I truly didn't know what I could do or where I should go. I finally decided to try Dr. Rankin's new office that had opened in West Palm Beach. I have heard excellent things about the Doctor and knew that the offices for Aqua Plastic Surgery Center in WPB were part of a day spa and salon that I had walked past several times. I also knew that this medical group has had an established office in Jupiter and that the doctor is head of plastic surgery at the local trauma hospital, and I also knew that the doctor had earned himself an excellent reputation for all the charity work he has done by performing surgery on people who are suffering financial hardships. And I can't lie, everyone wants a deal and I figured because this office location was fairly new for the doctor, they'd probably be competitively priced and maybe even offering some specials. Tuesday on my birthday week I called and immediately launched into explaining that my birthday was Thursday and I no longer recognized the person I saw when I looked in the mirror and also then launched into all the reasons why I had put off doing this for so long and that I didn't want to look like cosmetic procedure "don't" with a face stretched and shiny with exaggerated cartoon features all due to pumping my face from tons of fillers - The patient voice on the other end of the phone laughed and listened and once I allowed her to talk , introduced herself as Holly, a genuinely caring person who listened to my whole story along with all my concerns and then said to me "Well if your birthday is Thursday, we can't have the birthday girl not feeling beautiful on her special day, so we better get you into our office so we can answer all of those questions you have and get you up to date on all the options and give you a proper consultation so we can give you the best recommendations needed so you can start to like that girl you see in the mirror again." She explained that the only way to know what would be best for me would be to come in to have a consultation. To my delight she seset me up with an appointment for the very next day. Next day I showed up for my appointment and was greeted by Holly. I then met Pam who was their anti-aging expert. Her advice was excellent and actually rather than suggesting several things, she actually told me less is best and that I should start with Botox around my crows feet and forehead as this would soften my whole face and reduce the lines around my eyes and suggested a slightly fuller lip with juvederm. Holly held my hand and talked me through it all. And then seeing Pam's reaction to how much better my lips were looking as she did the procedure , my mind went away from being scared to being excited. In all I would say both Botox and juvederm took about 20 minutes. When I was given a mirror to take my first look , I immediately could see the difference and although she said the Botox needed time to really take full effect I could see that it was improved. My lips were incredible, full and young again and while I was a little sore after being injected , it didn't stop me from putting on some lipstick and meeting friends two hours later for a birthday drink feeling and looking like had ten years earlier. I love the results and realized that doing these little tune ups on a regular basis will keep me looking as young as I feel! Now when I look in the mirror every morning, I smile because I recognize the person looking back - IT'S ME! IMPOSSIBLE to deal with. Unless you literally have nothing better to do with your time than wait for calls to reschedule your appointments over and over, I'd advise you to seek elsewhere. I get to my appointment several minutes early and they take me back to a patients room. I sat in that room for 1 hour waiting on Crystal and no one came in. I left to ask if she forgot about me and how much longer it would be. After another 10 minutes someone finally came in the room to tell me she will be a little longer. I met Dr. Dev for a consultation for reconstructive surgery. I met with 4 other surgeons in the area and they never really answered my questions but sugar coated everything. Dr. Dev. sat down with my husband and I while carefully listening to our questions. He was easy to talk to and explained the entire process. We felt very comfortable making the decision to work with his office. His office staff is amazing and accommodating. His entire team worked well together and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The most impressive for me is Dr. Dev's honest caring for his patients. He has been available post surgery to answer questions from me directly.
