Needed to replace it, and Kirk did a great job at a great price. Next, we added a split unit to heat/cool our two upstairs bedrooms. Install was reasonable and it worked well - until it didn't. The business changed owners a few years back, and it's been a struggle to keep the split units working. After some time, Jake came through and fixed our split unit, even adding a surge protector for free. I'm hoping things go smoothly from here. Be aware that surge protection is important on the mountain with all the unplanned outages we face.

Back in 2016, the heater at my house wasn't putting out much heat. The owner then was Kirk, and he replaced some parts. After he fixed those parts, some OTHER PARTS BROKE!!!! Kirk came back and realized the problem. I won't get into detail; but he put a new heater in, while DEDUCTING the price for the parts AND LABOR of the first job! On top of that; he knew I had just moved in and was spending tons of money repairing other things. Kirk agreed to let me make 3 payments for the job. That was 2016. Kirk retired. Now, about 3 weeks ago, I was finally tired of the lower level of the house being so darn cold as my gas prices were climbing more and more each year. I called Cantrell again. The new guys were just as professional and insightful. They instantly noticed that the "tubes" (I can't think of the other word for them!) had too small a diameter to pump sufficient air. They also hooked new tubes up for downstairs. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! MAN, OH MAN is it nice and warm downstairs. I've also noticed that the larger diametered tubes have resulted in the heater not being on as long as before to achieve the desired temperature. The new guys don't accept payments (they obviously take credit cards), but they're professional in every way. They answer the phones, keep in contact, keep their promise of when they're coming to work, then they leave after doing excellent repairs and upgrades. If something goes wrong with my heater or water heater; then Cantrell's is the only place I'm going to call. I bet you'll be just as pleased with them as I am!

I was really pleased that he tried to fix it and showed us why it was beyond repair. We purchased a new system and got a very fair price. As part of the installation he and his team fixed a major error that the builder created when they put it in. Doing that fix will save us a lot in cooling costs and make our new system much more efficient. Tim's team came out a couple of times in order to remove the old system and install the new one. His guys were VERY clean and tidy at all times. They even put down plastic in the closet over our clothes so they didn't get dusty from the changeover. They cleaned up everything and even their appearance was clean and neat. The job they do is hard and it's hot, (in peoples attics) so it made me have even more respect for them that they took the time to be respectful of our house and also look professional. Tim took the time to explain things to me very patiently and answer several dumb questions of mine. I really appreciated that and in the process he helped me understand the whole HVAC system. As a result we are more educated about how to make the new system last and how to actually make it work for us and our budget. I can't recommend this company more highly. Honestly, integrity and value!! Thank you, Tim and team!

From the start, he set himself apart by…read moretaking the time to provide a thorough, on-site evaluation and a detailed quote--far beyond what other contractors offered. We had been dealing with uneven cooling, with two bedrooms consistently running very hot despite the thermostat being set to 70°F during the summer. I suspected poor duct layout was the issue, and after getting five different quotes, every contractor told me there was no attic access to redo the ductwork. Their only solution was mini-splits, with estimates ranging from $16,000 to $21,000. Josue approached the problem differently. He personally went into the attic, recorded video, and clearly showed how he could create an access point to reach and fix the problematic ductwork. Instead of pushing a more expensive alternative, he provided a solution that addressed the root issue. He ultimately quoted us for a full ductwork redesign and system replacement at a very fair and reasonable price, using a high-quality American Standard system. Throughout the process, he was extremely responsive to my questions via text and was easy to coordinate with. Josue and his crew completed the entire project--including demo, redesign, and installation of new ducts and system--in just two days. The results have been excellent. I'm very glad we found Best Tech and will absolutely consider them for future projects. It also feels great to support a local business and neighbor. Thank you to Josue and his team for their hard work--we couldn't be happier with our new system.
