I've called my insurance and they've told me we owe no out of pocket charges except $100 for the ER copay which we've paid to JFK. But This place keeps billing my do. And now have sent him to collections. I've called again and trying speaking to this lady in billing who keeps telling me we owe them $142. I've even faxed them the EOB which I'm certain they've received from the insurance. Obviously they are unaware that they cannot balance bill a patient, they have a contrarian insurance company and have to accept what they get paid. Totally unacceptable and idiotic. I can't believe they are trying to have a collection agency collect $142. Which we do not owe them.

But she made up some irrational reasons that she can't email me my report telling me she didn't know my identity i said what about I tell you my name , my insurance ID ,birth date and/or place of residence. As she couldn't find any reasons , she just HUNG up on me. This left a horrible taste in my mouth. IF her manager is seeing this , this is an ultimate problem you should resolve today! The technician was good overall . The images came out ok . But would I use this facility again which is 1.5 hour from my house. Most likely not!

I Remember the ER being very disorganised, chatotic and uncaring. Heart rate shot up to 200 bpm at one point to little attention. Was luckily given a room and tests were done (which was nice and Tyler Glagola EMT, head nurse and then cardiac nurse stopped by to say hello that day which was also very nice) but nothing ever came of it. Was billed for doctors I don't even remember seeing. Doctors reported physical examinations that I don't think ever occurred. On top of that, I developed a blood clot in my left arm as a result of their care. They never really did anything about. Doctors never really found out what was wrong and I never really got any better. They really don't care about you as a person at all. If you don't fit a certain criteria, they will not help you.

Then today March 2026 I'm notified that THIS company has sent me to collections for a $415 bill that appeared out of nowhere. There's no charge or trace of this bill on my actual hospital bill/receipt. In the months that have passed they have never contacted me or made it known in anyway that I had a bill with them despite having access to all of my contact information, address included. It's as if the bill appeared out of thin air. I called customer service hoping for access to more information on this charge and (as is my right) the option to pay with my insurance, I was denied both immediately. I was told there was no way for me to access the bill or ANY information with University Radiology despite them being responsible for the charge, I was denied the option to pay with my insurance and was told I had no choice but to pay the $415 to the debt collectors ( Remex inc) who also provided no information on this sudden charge and is leaving no option but to pay off the bill TODAY . As someone who now has to cough up almost $500 for a mystery charge or suffer bad credit I seriously recommend avoiding any hospitals working with them you can check who they work with on their website at the bottom of the page.
