My family member was diagnosed, treated and released for colon cancer all within 3 weeks. This was a miracle, thanks to the care received.

I Remember the ER being very disorganised, chatotic and uncaring. Heart rate shot up to 200 bpm at one point to little attention. Was luckily given a room and tests were done (which was nice and Tyler Glagola EMT, head nurse and then cardiac nurse stopped by to say hello that day which was also very nice) but nothing ever came of it. Was billed for doctors I don't even remember seeing. Doctors reported physical examinations that I don't think ever occurred. On top of that, I developed a blood clot in my left arm as a result of their care. They never really did anything about. Doctors never really found out what was wrong and I never really got any better. They really don't care about you as a person at all. If you don't fit a certain criteria, they will not help you.

I hands down love the Pediatric Emergency room at JFK. My son has had t come here several times…read morethe past few years and Ill be honest the staff and doctors have never once let us down. But Ill start from the top for this experience: This past weekend my son and I both arrived by ambulance; yup both of us very sick in a snowstorm. Upon arrival the check in lady through the ambulance side with the shorter brown straight hair- shes miserable & nasty yelling at the ambulance guys that I cant check in only my son can since hes a minor and no other adult, then proceeded to say if were vomiting why is there a water bottle with us, and really just kept abusing the ambulance guys- I mean she needs a reality check she works in a hospital not a correctional facility and healthy me would love to explain that :) n my town we are very grateful for our ambulance crew they are volunteers they dont have to be there, show some compassion- if they're wrong maybe guide instead of publicly shaming them. Any case we carried on, this was a first Ive never been sick at the same time as my little one and dad was away. It was challenging to say the least. I just said not to worry, I can just die in the pediatric side and then proceeded there to get my son checked in LOL. We get him checked in and the guys from the ambulance then went and got me checked in through the adult side- I will add there was no one in either waiting area. But you can tell patients were in the back areas. They were great too. From there my son was evaluated, registered the works. After that they came to tell me they were going to see if an adult doctor would come over and see me. Dr Patel was able to! I am very fortunate I do understand that circumstances do not always allow this, but oh so grateful, they were able to. From that both my son and I basically were patients together and now the pediatric side. My God I love them. Patrick you are awesome! I had 3 other nurse the ladies they to were great, dont kill me I forgot your names. They all helped get us both comfortable stopped vomiting, tested us and all. I really do love it here, I dont know if I just keep getting lucky but Im grateful especially for my son. They are always so nice and understanding and kids can be afraid. Theyre gentle and warm. Thank you guys!

Check-in receptionist was quite unpleasant and told me that my insurance won't cover it and I need to go through worker's comp, because it occurred during the work day. No one wanted to help and just instructed that I verify with my insurance company. Ended up calling the insurance company and waited on hold to speak to a rep, who was quite surprised at the response I received, since it was not related to my job. After all of that, I went back in and told them it will be covered at which time I was told that they can only see me on Monday (this was on Friday before 4PM). Keep in mind, I'm still bleeding and in pain this whole time. They don't care about you. They just see you as an ATM. DON'T GO HERE, OR THEY'LL LEAVE YOU TO DIE! I'm actually glad I did not get treatment there, but hopefully this review will help someone. This was the worst experience!

This review refers to US Healthworks in Edison, NJ…read more Where is the zero star? Worst urgent care ever! Came in because my daughter had a possible UTI. Front desk woman looked at me and said, "Why are you here?" in such a look that I have 2 heads -- and giving me that ghetto head wobble. I told her the reason and she replied, "we don't have a doctor." WTF? Very, very, very rude front desk staff! US Healthworks corporate should shut this place down!! I can't believe this place is still in business. If I have a 5 stars for rudeness, this shthole gets it! "This is very uncharacteristic of our medical staff...(US Healthworks Patient Care Team Staff)." Well, based on other patients' reviews, it is a common demeanor of your staff! Where do these people get their customer service training? I'm not going to recommend any other urgent care places because this is not the reason I'm writing this review but I surely am happy that other urgent care centers are popping up in this area.

Even at the urgent care I couldn't stop coughing. I asked for an antiobiotic and told I should only take Mucinex. My chest is clear is what I was told. Next day I go to office and can't stop coughing then start feeling worse than day before. Now I start coughing up yellow phlegm which everyone knows is a sign of bacterial infection!!! Then call back the Urgent care only to speak to the desk receptionist. I asked for them to send antiobiotic to my pharmacy explained I now I have yellow phlegm that I'm coughing up and not feeling well. I was told that the doctor said I should take the recommended medicine which was just mucinex. I called my doctor got antiobiotics right away. Now on second day and feel GrEaT!!! No thanks to jfk urgent care. Wasted a co-pay and time only to be told to get otc mucinex and being told second time same things Won't be going to this urgent care again.
