Ghosted... I want to be leaving a 5 star review right now for a company that pulled off a miraculous last minute cleaning, but unfortunately if I could leave a no star review right now I would. If things change I will update my review. Just bought a new house and took possession at 4 pm on a Saturday. Walked into the house to find it extremely dirty. Hoping for a miracle I started calling around to multiple home cleaning services and amazingly APS answered. I asked them for a cleaning the next day on Sunday. And they agreed and said they could be there at 8am. I couldn't have been more grateful to have pulled this off. The house would be cleaned before the movers arrived. The person that answered quoted a price which I agreed to and she asked that I text her with my name and address. You were the best! Unfortunately as of now after no reply to any text messages, no answer to phone call, no call back for voicemail we are now an hour and 45 mins after the agreed arrival time. Why agree to the cleaning at a specific time on a specific day and then not reply to any further communication? Hopefully this is a misunderstanding. If i could leave 0 stars, i would. First of all she told me $800 and charged me $828. Way overpriced.There are cobwebs in my home and it's not thoroughly cleaned. She left trash and food to rot in my garage which attracted maggots. A pizza box was also left on my front porch. When i called to ask about this, she denied it even though i have PICTURES. Do not use her unless you want a crap job and a rip off price!!!!!!! Update- today i was contacted by someone claiming to be a "part owner". We went back and forth and they eventually offered what i had been requesting(partial) refund in the amount of $300.... ON THE CONDITION THAT I REMOVE THIS REVIEW. I told them they could refund me and then I'd remove the review... and the reply was that they would speak with "the other business partners" and get back with me. So RIDICULOUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. The worst experience I've ever had. 1- Nothing they offer on their website is done completely or not done well. 2- The ladies who are going to do the cleaning are nice but they are not trained to do a satisfactory cleaning job. 3- Super Expensive. I recently moved to Northern VA from DC, and needed a new cleaning company. This company was highly recommended by a colleague who knows the business owner and has referred her to others previously. However, my experience was unpleasant. After texting with Patricia over the weekend, we made an appointment for Monday at 7pm. This appointment was requested by Patricia to see the house prior to giving a quote/scheduling a first time cleaning. By Monday at 7:20, the company hadn't showed up nor called or texted with an ETA or anything. I texted at that point to ask if she was still coming and I received a reply of "I'm on my way." There was no apology, no details regarding ETA, and it was now nearly 1/2 hour later than the appointment. I mentioned I had some other commitments to which I received questions about the house & a quote, but still no clarity on whether they were coming. I replied with confusion and received a call from Patricia. She was very rude to me, never apologetic for not showing up or being late and repeatedly told me she was in Leesburg, in traffic. But I still don't understand why I wasn't contacted ahead of time and why I had to reach out when they were already very late. At the time of call, it was already 7:40. I understand things happen, but the lateness, & the lack of communication, along with the rude tone of voice on the phone were disappointing to say the least. I definitely will not be using this company nor referring. I made sure to mention it to my colleague as well, lest she refer another person. I was looking for a home cleaning service since moving into my new build home in Ashburn. We have over 4000 sqft of space in our townhouse that includes a basement and loft. With pets and my crazy allergy problems with dust mites we thought it would be beneficial to hire home cleaning. I found APS online and reached out to them. Patricia scheduled a home walkthrough before setting the price. Which makes sense, she needs to see the space and how much furniture we have, etc. We are pretty minimalistic with decor and furniture, I can't stand clutter! ^_^ After her walkthrough, Patricia explained to me that the first cleaning will be more expensive since they do a thorough deep cleaning and after that the price goes down depending on the frequency of the cleaning. I actually have a friend who started working at a different cleaning company and she explained to me how it works and that's how all cleaning companies do their pricing. I have done some initial research too and found that's an accurate explanation of how pricing is done. Also, my friend said the more stuff you have in your home to clean, such as furniture, decor, lamps, etc, the more expensive it will be. Makes sense. And that we actually have a really good deal with APS. The cleaning is top notch. From the floors to ceiling fans, everything is spotless after an APS cleaning. They also change bed sheets and make cute arragements on the tissue boxes and toilet paper rolls. It's all in the details and the little things can make a big difference. Patricia is very kind, honest and professional. She has always been forthcoming and never gave reason for distrust. I also appreciate her flexibility. She has always been willing to work with me when I have a schedule change and can't be home. We are continuing to use APS for our bi weekly cleaning (it has been almost a year) and am very happy with Patricia and their service. I highly recommend APS! read more

Patricia's team is wonderful! They have been cleaning my townhouse (that I'm renting) for almost a year now and I can't say enough. As a busy young professional I often don't have enough hours in a day, so really appreciate her team's attention to detail and timeliness. Disclaimer - Some of them don't speak English as their first language, so sometimes when I don't want a room cleaned (e.g. my craft room when I'm in the middle of a craft), and I don't have time to verbally tell them, I'll put a little sign up that says "no limpio por favor" (not sure if that's actually correct in Spanish? Feel free to correct me if it's wrong!) but that's how I let them know not to clean a certain room. My other slight criticism is that they don't offer carpet shampooing. Not a big deal for me but would be nice. They did a poor job cleaning my 1 bdr. rental. The bathroom was left plain dirty: soap stuck to the bathtub, dirt in the shower door tracks, a cobweb under the sink cabinet. The last straw was when I moved the bathroom door and saw clumps of hair in the corner. Couldn't even wash the floor in a tiny bathroom.... Same with the kitchen. Very perfunctory. The icemaker had tons of dirt in it. Didn't wipe under the sink. Didn't wipe the sink. Would not recommend. PS I did receive a 30% discount but I had to redo pretty much everything right before my tenant moved, which made it very stressful. Not sure what I paid $100 for. read more

I've used this service for Handyman work in 2021 and cleaning my apartment this past June 2022. Patricia was great and very professional. Also the technician who service the drywall issue in my home was excellent. Today 8/8/22 I called to inquire about handyman services AND cleaning of my home which is about 5K of work to get it staged for sale. The lady who answered asked me what handyman work I needed and to text my name and phone (which is their normal routine) and someone would call me back. Because I have a lot of handyman's work to be done I asked for a website or some type of visual of their services. She rudely cut me off and told me to just text her and then hung up on me. I called back and tried to explain the nature of my call, given the volume of work, and she hung up on me again. Disgusting! I'll report this service. read more

The cleaning service itself is good. However, we had an issue where an electronic lock that we had not yet reset after moving in was inadvertent locked by the cleaning crew. While we know this was accidental, it left us unable to get into our house for hours and nearly doubled the cost of the initial clean by the time we paid for a locksmith. While the company originally tried to help by sending painters/handymen over to open the door, their only other response was a fairly unconcerned apology by text. I called APS with less than a days notice to deep clean our house after moving out. Not only were they super responsive but they did an amazing job. They were quick and efficient and our refrigerator which was rather gross inside, looked brand new after they were done. I reached out for pre move in cleaning . They were on time but did not do a thorough job . I had previously requested and confirmed they were going to follow cdc protocol due to covid19. My husband had to ask them to wear masks and they obliged . It's awkward enough already and that is just common sense . There were streaks on the window, dust / residue was left on the counter , the bathtub stopper was left a mess . Additionally they were not able to remove the stains from the toilet . ( I was not going to make a huge deal about it since they did try ). Since we are a first time customer , I was unaware of the online credit care processing fee . The woman on the phone became very aggressive when I politely asked her if we could give her a check the next day since we are mid move . She sent me an aggressive text and a link to pay. I reached out to management to share my poor experience , photos and politely request resolution and no one has responded . This was a waste of money . Over the past year or so, we've tried out a total of three home cleaning companies and the only one we've been fully satisfied with is APS. Our main gripes with the other companies were the the lack of consistency in quality from week-to-week (sometimes they'd do a decently thorough job cleaning the house and other times it was obvious they did the bare minimum or rushed through it) combined with the high price tag for their services. If we're paying a lot to have our relatively small house cleaned, we expect to get our money's worth. Since we started using APS, we've never encountered these issues. The quality of APS's home cleanings is consistently top-notch and Patty (the owner/manager) and her crew are always very thorough in performing their cleans and we haven't had even one issue with their services. I'd like to point out that this business is clearly not a large company like Maid Bright or The Cleaning Authority - there isn't a "home office" for you to call or an administrative staff to deal with estimates, scheduling, payment, etc. Patty has been our sole point of contact on all matters relating to the cleaning services. While coordinating our first clean with APS was not quite as simple as it was with those larger companies, it's not like it caused us any major inconvenience; the crew ended up coming later than expected and it took me a second to understand that we would pay for the service through their website, but since then it's been smooth sailing. PRO TIP: English isn't Patty's first language, so we just use Google Translate to send our text messages to her in Spanish; it's worked like a charm and makes it easier to communicate back and forth. Like clockwork, Patty sends us a confirmatory text message every week on the day before our scheduled cleaning and then we just pay via the website. Anytime we've had to reschedule a cleaning, we just let her know through text and it's taken care right away. My impression of how the business operates is that Patty handles all administrative matters like scheduling cleans and payment matters; manages, assigns, and coordinates the cleaning jobs among her various employees; and still goes out and cleans houses every day alongside her crew. Since Patty is the one answering all customer correspondence and managing scheduling, I think some of the other reviewers' complaints regarding delayed responses from APS is simply due to the fact that this is basically a one-woman operation. If you're on a strict schedule for whatever reason, there shouldn't be any problem coordinating this with APS as long as you're clear about your time constraints. Personally, I couldn't care less if they show up at 12:15 instead of 12:00, especially when you consider that these people are working their butts off cleaning a lot of houses every single day, so it's understandable they might run slightly behind schedule at times. Regardless, the quality of their cleaning services are sooooo worth it. Working with Patty has always been really wonderful, she's so sweet and accommodating, and we've never had a negative experience with her. I gave APS 2 stars as the one star reviews are of disregarded, and I wanted people to read it. I called APS and spoke with Patricia, arranging a deep move-in clean for my home (currently empty). The cleaning was to begin at 830am. On the day of the cleaning, Patricia showed up at 1030. She quoted me a price more than what had been agreed upon before, but was within my comfort zone for a deep cleaning (she was explicit on what services would be provided). In order to pay via CC, I had to pay a voucher online. She brought 2 other cleaners in, noting it was a 3-4 person job and should take 3-4 hours. After a few minutes, she advised that she had to leave to pick up another cleaner. In short, she never came back. I ran a quick errand, coming home at 1230. I noticed that the two remaining cleaners appeared to be preparing to leave!! One of the two remaining cleaners left. The remaining cleaner feigned not to be able to speak English. My wife is a native Spanish speaker, and I had her discuss the issues via telephone. I checked the upstairs, which they had reported to have completed. They hadn't dusted any surface, cleaned a single cabinet, and had sprinkled Comet in the sinks and showers without further cleaning. I spent the next 3 hours showing the remaining cleaner what should be done, messaging Patricia (who kept promising to return). The cleaner simply was not physically able to do the job to satisfaction. I felt scammed by APS. They are not trustworthy, and I am reporting them to the BBB. read more

Where to start. This cleaning service is beyond 5 stars. They are the best cleaning service I've ever had. They were able to fit me in at 8am Saturday. I have a larger home so I just wanted my main floor cleaned. They do not take short cuts. They dust they scrub they organize and put things away. I haggled a little on the cost being the first time using this company but after seeing the great job I gladly paid the higher price. My old crew came in and out within a hour. This crew is working at 4 hours and still here which says a lot. They are very nice, gentle and respectful. I will be having them over again. Best cleaning service I have ever had!! We just had our home cleaned for the second time by APS home cleaning services and I can't express how happy I am. We stopped our last cleaning service when quarantine started back in March. I thought I was doing a good job cleaning myself but when they did the first cleaning it was embarrassing how much dust and pet hair they swept out! they got into every crevice! Not sure what happened but my experience with APS was not positive. They have high reviews and that's why I picked them, but I didn't experience the 4 star service others did. Had the team come in for a move in cleaning of a 3000 square foot home with 2.5 baths. They first arrive an hour late. Then we agree to the charge of $400 for the cleaning. I thought that was fair, but doing more searches I discovered that the amount is on the high end. Wouldn't have been a problem if we got stellar service, but we didn't receive premium cleaning services. A team of five "finished" the house in under two hours and left while we were out running errands before we could look the house over. I asked them to give me a half hour heads up so I could come back, but I didn't get that call. Upon inspection it looks like they missed the master bath entirely and didn't do a great job cleaning the other bathroom. And as we've been getting situated in the house it just seems like there is still a layer of dirt/grime in certain rooms. I contacted the company about the issues but never heard back. I really only hired them to save myself some time in terms of both a move-out and a move-in cleaning for two separate homes. In reality, I'm a bit of a neat freak, so I would have done a bit better job myself, but that's probably normal. For the move-out cleaning, I thought they did an exceptional job in the kitchen; however for the bathrooms, just not as well for some reason. If I was desperate to save time and just needed a quick cleaning, I might hire them. But to be honest, I'm not entirely sure I'd recommend them to others. read more

Our home always looks great after Patti and her team clean! The team leaves the bathrooms sparkling and I appreciate the little extras, like vacuuming the couches and making sure the ceiling fans are wiped down.
