I've never given a bad review but.... I had been going to…read morePampered Pet in Tracy off and on since they opened with the dogs I have now and Barkley, my previous dog I had for over 14 years. Barkley got razor rash once & had a problem after his anal glads expressed long ago at Pampered Pet which resulted in vet visit both times, but other than those two episodes, I was satisfied and just wrote those two problems off as flukes until....I took my teacup Maltese there last September (2025). His first couple appointments were fine, but the last, he looked terrible, like a different dog. People who saw him afterwards thought it WAS a different dog, an old dog, not my cute little 9 month old Maltese. When I brought him in, I told Michelle I didn't want his face touched much at all, to leave his "mustache" and wanted his ear hair trimmed shorter, like a puppy. Well, they did the exact opposite; they left the ears long and SHAVED his face. He wasn't matted or anything. I paid the bill, including a $20 tip BEFORE they brought him out to me. I was in shock when they handed him to me. I left and on the drive home, I couldn't even look at him. But the more I did, the madder I got. When I got home, I immediately called Michelle and said, "you know I'm not one to complain and never have, but I was furious on the grooming job. That they did the exact opposite of what I asked and that he looked terrible." She said I could bring him back in and they'd trim his ears shorter, like I had asked, but the damage was done. I knew they couldn't glue his cute mustache and whiskers back on. All I saw when I looked at him was a dog that didn't look a thing like my cute 9 month old puppy that I had brought in. I told her I was too mad to bring him back in and I was just furious. She just said oh, okay. No offer of any compensation or anything. I had been a customer for over a decade. His fur, of course, has since grown back and he looks cute again. He is now a year and 5 months old and I take him to Muddy Paws on 10th Street now, where we have been extremely pleased AND they are a little less expensive and we've had much, much better experience every single time and much better cut than he ever had at Pampered Pet. Sorry, but it's the truth. I won't go back there. I don't know if there was miscommunication between Michelle and the groomer or what because I did tell Michelle the cut I wanted: face left alone, only cleaned up a little, leave his mustache/whiskers and trim the ears much shorter and the exact opposite was done. He was the first appointment of the day, maybe she was still half asleep, I don't know.

They charged me over $1,000+ for procedures he said is needed and will let us know of the results the same day before they close (or the next day at the most)- THEY NEVER DID. I kept calling them and was told they still don't have the results and I was not able to talk to Dr. Singh (the receptionist kept saying he was w/ another patient...) I finally decided to take my grandson's pet to NOBLE Veterinary and Dr. Thomas Ross and we were told HE DOESN'T HAVE A HEART MURMOR!!! We were also told he does not need testing for mange because HE DOES NOT SHOW ANY SIGN and that the testing for mange is QUITE PAINFUL because it will require to SCRAPE THE SKIN VERY DEEP. Quite obviously, Dr. Singh did not test my grandson's pet for mange because we did not see any kind of scraping and did not do anything for his ear infection and was not given any medication to treat it!!!! NOBLE veterinary hospital tested his ear infection, showed us a printed result which showed us the kind of bacteria is causing the inflamed ear, FLUSHED HIS EAR, GAVE HIM AN INJECTION, and gave us medication (and told us it's necessary NOT TO miss any dosage.) TRACY VETERINARY MEDICAL CENTER CHARGED ME $1,0000+ FOR PROCEDURES NOT NEEDED (and were not done.) My grandson was so traumatized thinking his pet could have a heart failure any time- HE KEPT CRYING (and called me to check on his pet when he returned to his school...) I was told by the staff @ NOBLE Vet Hospital that Dr. Singh's license was suspended for a while that's why he had to sell his former clinic (Harvest Valley) and then opened Tracy Veterinary Medical Center upon getting back his license in order TO CONTINUE HIS EVIL PRACTICE!!!! He doesn't deserve even one star- it's just toooooooo BAD, I have to give this EVIL PLACE a star to be able to submit my review...

This seems like a bit of a repetitive review…read more The good: Very clean. Very nice. Great hours and availability. The docs seem to know what's going on. They have a lot of staff on hand and specific prescription food. Their response for prescriptions to send out to Chewy is also very fast. The bad: Most of the time I call and they answer and ask me to hold (unless it' an emergency). I hold and hold ... and HOLD. In fact I have held sometimes over 20 minutes and nobody every comes back to help me. Just because it's not an emergency and I am willing to hold that does not mean FOREVER! After you help your customer in line then it's my turn please. Oh also, you had better have a LOT of money because this place will not start with the basic things. They immediately head right to the easiest way to make as much money as possible. Cat got a wheeze and lost a couple pounds? Let's run bloodwork for $650. That all came back fine? Oh ok, then let's do an Xray for $650. All clear there? Doc basically refuses anything else but an exam of the GI for $750. We pass on the GI test and the breathing get's worse. Call back and now they want to start the process over again with chest Xrays for another $650. How about starting out small and do some steroids or an antibiotic first? I guess that's not going to make them enough money. Imagine going into a doctor and saying you have a fever and a cough and they immediately send you in for Xrays and bloodwork and CT scans and an MRI just for the hell of it. Hey Jules ... Not everyone has a money tree in the back yard.

I…read morebooked a dental cleaning for my dog, Zero, and needed to reschedule it a couple of times, but the office staff was very understanding and flexible. Once I finally was able to commit to a date, the correspondence I received from TPA was clear and helpful. I was told when to begin restricting food/water, what time to arrive, and the details of the check-in process. As directed, I arrived by 8am and notified office staff. I was quickly greeted by the vet tech, Jill, who was absolutely the best. Jill was warm, patient, and knowledgeable. She let me see where the procedure would be preformed and where Zero would be held, and explained when/why she would call (if blood work was concerning, if it wasn't safe to sedate, if they had suggested extractions). Despite being nervous, Jill definitely helped me feel better about leaving my boy in her care. Since his bloodwork was fine, the next time I heard from Jill was when she called to share suggested extractions. She briefly reviewed the dentition of a dog, explained where there were areas of concern in Zero's mouth, and was able to give me monetary figures when asked. She took time to consider my follow-up questions and I felt the interaction was professional while being empathetic and frank. At no time did I feel that she was trying to upsell me or otherwise get more money out of me. When I picked Zero up, Jill came out holding him. She sat with me and reviewed his bloodwork line by line, his X-rays, and showed me before and after pictures of his teeth. She also provided me with clearly labeled medications. We talked about food and general aftercare, including what I might observe, and I felt comfortable about heading home. We are now at the tail end of recovery and Zero has done fantastic, and I truly attribute a lot of that to Jill & her efforts. Thank you!

Let me start by saying this place was absolutely worth the drive from Hayward. I found it through…read moresome online forums and decided to give it a try - and I'm so glad I did. We arrived around 8:30 AM for our dog's drop-off, and even though there were a lot of people already waiting, the process was surprisingly smooth. They clearly have an efficient system in place. After check-in, we were brought inside to speak with the vet, who walked us through everything and answered our questions. Thankfully, our pup was healthy and cleared for the procedure with no concerns. We got a call around 11 AM letting us know everything went well, with a pickup time at 1 PM, which gave our dog time to rest and recover from anesthesia. The procedure went well and he's recovering nicely. Overall, the experience was a 5/5 - friendly staff, efficient service, and incredibly affordable pricing. In addition to spay/neuter services, they also offer vaccinations and microchipping. For our 1-year-old, ~25 lb cockapoo, the total for neutering and microchipping was about $250, which is honestly unbeatable. If you're looking for high-quality, affordable care for your pet, I highly recommend checking this place out and booking an appt online or by phone.
