A little long considering we were the only people in there at that point. But I hoped that meant it was being made from scratch. Food arrived, it looked delicious! Both of our first bites were heaven! Sope had a thick fluffy masa cake base with the most tender roasted slightly seasoned carnitas. Topped with a soft kind of white bean, a few sliced tomatoes, a few onions, shredded cabbage and salty cotija cheese. Very filling. Wife's Gorditas were three small masa cake shells stuffed with moist shredded dark meat chicken. And the same topping as mine. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food!!Would stop back again when I town.

That is definitely not the case here. Nina's Tacos gets Birria right. I must confess that I've never had a Birria burrito before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. My favorite dining companion opted for the Sopes de Birria. I'll admit when I first opened my takeout box, I was in shock...in a good way. The Birria burrito was beautiful...and massive. The crispy exterior was very enticing. I knew I was going to have to cut it in half. I wasn't going to be able to handle this baby in one sitting. Cutting it in half revealed a delicious cross-section of juicy, delicious birria, cheese, and cilantro. I pretty much started drooling immediately. The first bite was downright heavenly. The first half of the burrito was gone in no time, and I was totally stuffed. My favorite dining companion also very much enjoyed her Sopes de Birria. They too were very large and had lots of juicy birria and delicious veggies. She finished maybe a third of hers before throwing in the towel and saving the rest for later. If you are craving Birria like I was, look no further. Nina's Tacos absolutely delivers. We will definitely be back again soon.
