This has pretty much been my go to since i decided to periodically blow out my hair. The ladies…read morehere are great and efficient that gets me in and out in great time. Their new location is a lot more spacious and inviting with a lot less parking but its usually pretty easy in and out. I havent gone much during covid but when i did go they were fully masked and distanced so id feel safe going again, COVID just havent given me many reasons to get a fresh blow out.

This salon did my daughter's hair recently and there were a couple of things that didn't sit well…read morew/me: 1. The staff didn't greet us warmly when we walked in and the stylist never said "hello" to us, nor was her tone friendly, as it should be when speaking with children. 2. My daughter's African- American but fluent in Spanish, she relayed to me that the stylist kept saying her hair was so short in Spanish. As though there's something negative about short hair. The entire service was $81 for a style that required no chemicals, I typically pay max $60 for this same style. On top of that, the style hasn't lasted because my daughter has natural hair that wasn't straightened out first. It seemed she wasn't trained or just didn't bother to work w/textured hair properly. What bothers me most is African-American woman have trusted Dominicans w/our beautiful hair even though many of their products, and styling methods, are not for our hair type and they don't care enough to learn our hair and work with it properly. And in some cases, they talk negatively about our hair texture, being to hard to comb or short, in Spanish, but take your money. Just because you don't like your African ancestry doesn't mean I don't love mine- I'm done, no mas!

She gave me a full highlight, and she convinced me to get layers, which I've had a few times before and never was happy with. But whatever she did, slay. I haven't been this excited about my hair in a long time. I highly recommend Alison!

When I explained that it is illegal to charge any type of fee on debit card transactions, the GM argued with me and tried to tell me it's not a credit card processing fee. Ironically, it just happens to be 3%! As a client, it is not my responsibility to pay your credit fee/overhead fee. That is your cost of doing business! Also, I believe you take that deduction as a business expense on your taxes. Most importantly, in all US states, it is illegal for merchants to charge a fee for using a debit card, including surcharges. This is because the Durbin Amendment prohibits debit card surcharges. While some states have laws restricting or prohibiting credit card surcharges, debit cards are specifically exempt, meaning businesses cannot add fees for using them. In this tough economy, I'm surprised a business would attempt a money grab for services that are discretionary in nature, and typically, only received as the budget allows.
