I've been going to ask probably close to 20 or more years. I went there tonight it's probably been over two months three months. I got a home open the box presentation look good but when I started looking at it closer I noticed the crust was pre-made like it came in a bag or box I put the toppings on the toppings are not as good and as plentiful as they used to be it looks like me the apps Pizza has gone downhill I know new owners have bought it recently. And times are tough but if you want to keep people coming back you can't change what they used to have when they were there. Stopped in this evening to pick up a pizza to take home. My wife had told me that this was a good place with good food so since I was in the area I thought I would try it. We ordered a large pizza with 3 toppings. We also ordered some boneless chicken wings in BBQ sauce. We decided to eat the wings while we waited for the pizza. Wings were very good, sauce was good as well. I noticed the people next to us ordered spaghetti that looked really good. I am going to try that next time. The pizza was very good. I even ate my crust (which is a good sign that I like the pizza) Sauce was nice, toppings were plenty. Even tasted good cold later at night (another good sign of a good pizza) The girl who helped me was named Jessica. She was funny and quick witted. There was a lot going on when I ordered and she was pleasant and personable. I will be going back next time I am in town!! read more

Prices are good and the food was great. What I could see appeared to be clean and the service was great. I've had there pizza. Spaghetti, subs and the homemade cheese. All of which I was pleased with. Note! the cheese cake was as good as I have ever had. I haven't had the privilege of tasting their pizza, but I certainly can vouch for their subs. This little hole in the wall in St. Cloud gives you delicious, hot, and stacked subs for very reasonable prices. This is a great place to eat lunch. They have many different combination of meats for the subs, but I tried the one with roast beef, turkey, ham, and cheese. It was great. The subs come hot unless you tell them you'd rather have it cold. It was a substantially filling sub with good quality ingredients. You can certainly tell from the taste of the bread what separates this from a chain like Subway. It's not even close. The meats are freshly sliced and the vegetable toppings all taste fresh. Lesson: Subway claims to have fresh ingredients while Apps Pizza and Subs actually HAS fresh ingredients. read more

Solid place in St. Cloud. Great quality pizza,... my hubby (the pizza snob) and I approve. It is actually a basic restaurant that has alot of take-out business. You can be served or walk or call in and take-out. They have a decent variety of unique subs that are consistently good and big!! The pizza rocks and try the Calzone which is huge or if you want something smaller their "Eddie Bread" which they say feeds two people or I say 1 VERY hungry person ;-) Also steer clear of the calamari,.... seems like just frozen stuff thrown in to the fryer. This place has been around as long as I can remember. As a kid, I always loved their meatball sandwich. My wife and I just recently moved back to town after almost 25yrs and decided to stop in and grab some lunch, hoping the food was as good as I remember it being. Sure enough, the meatball sandwich and my wife's Italian Stallion sandwiches were just as excellent as I remember! I wanted some local pizza last night so I ordered pick up for Apps. I had heard great things about their subs, but I wanted pizza and wings. I ordered a large pizza, an order of wings, and my wife wanted some mac and cheese bites. I have to say the mac and cheese bites were actually the best thing... The pizza was alright. The pros were: it was big, it had good crust, and lots of cheese. The cons were: it was a little lacking on sauce and the toppings were a little bland. The wings were not super big, but the sauce was very good. The people were nice. They had my order ready when I got there and the price was right. Apps showed it had potential and I will be back to try those subs I've heard about. read more

Large slice get home they cut they cake in half leaving the triangle part of the cake off leaving half a slice.. service was fine till a problem mgr is RUDE DISRESPECTFUL to women and after the cake deal. Tonight's meatball subs were simply not good. We usually love their meatball subs and have been ordering from there for years. But, if tonight was my first time ordering from there, I wouldn't order again. The subs were burnt to a crisp and had very minimal sauce on them. Next time, I will order something else. read more

Apps has been around a long, long time. The original owners were the bomb!!! Since they left it's only been a shadow of what it once was. Sorry guys, food is OK, service at times is ehh. For those new to the area, there are better places in town. A lot of the locals still come to dine, and it is OK, but when I go out it's usually not here. I was driving around looking for a local pizza place. A few tables inside I guess there was a back room but it was already closed for the night. The server was a nice older lady. She never told us her name but was funny and was pretty much on top of everything. Ordered the pizzas. The pizza was ok not the best not the worst. The cheese taste like it is a mozzarella cheese blend. The price for the pizzas with topping or specials can start getting steep. They do have a 2 can dine menu. This was the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. We ordered a large pepperoni and at first glance it didn't look like it had any pepperoni on it but they put it on the crust and cover it with cheese. So it looked odd but I am all about flavor and this was a HUGE bomb of grease. My roommate did the smart thing and used a napkin to soak up as much of the grease as she could I didn't do that and after 1 slice I was starting to feel queasy but I was starving so I started eating the second piece. I couldn't even finish my slice before my stomach started rolling and I got to the bathroom just in time. I grew up In New York so I was told they made the pizza the NY way but never in my entire life have I ever had pizza this bad. My roomate only ate her 1 slice and we ended up throwing the rest away. I was charged $12 more than what the prices are on the web. I was told by the manager that Apps did not put the menu on the allmenus.com site and were not responsible for the price difference. Apps could not, and, would not do anything about the misinformation. I took two bites out of my Dagwood sub and ended up throwing it away because it just wasn't that good. My husband ate all of his steak and cheese sub. The calamari was like rubber and neither one of us ate it. Our first visit ever was in January 2016 - Service was great. We were greeted... they server was very nice and attentive. The food was very good, pizza and chicken parm. dinner - no complaints. We liked it so much,, I went back with my son the next week. Again, very attentive...the young man at the counter is very polite and pleasant. Service was great and the food was fine as well. Yes... they have a lot of cheese on that pizza... but who doesn't love cheese! lol next week or so, I went back with my husband and my son once again... (every Wed. we usually eat out) great service by the young man there ( I do not know why I don't know his name by now) but he was great and when I left, even the cook in the back told me thank you and to have a nice evening.
