Fridge repair. Charges $85 for the estimate claiming it will go towards repairs. After 3 phone calls, they finally email a ahh hem cough cough "quote". The quote claimed the main control needed to be replaced and costs $875. This is triple the cost of the parts. Other parts costing $19 were marked up to $319. Not only were the parts marked up, but they were not broken and didnt need to be replaced. After this absurd attempt to get into my wallet, I hired another provider who made a tiny wire repair and the fridge is working as new. Their quote doesnt even note the model number which would be needed to order a correct part! Uline has a website where you can just look up and order parts direct. model UHBV524- ISO1A Their quote was for nearly $2000 for a $100 fix. read more

Appliance SV - U line fridge. you can use the model number to look up part costs. - Appliances & Repair Near Me

Repairs were required for both our refrigerator and oven. The work was performed skillfully and the problems corrected. However, the total labor time did not exceed 12 hours. The bill was $3200.26. This would have equated to $250 per hour. The explanation in part was that the repairs would be less expensive than replacement of the items. I complained of this overcharge and was ignored. Our fridge broke on a Saturday morning & with a 16 month old toddler in the house we had to get it fixed very quickly. Victor from appliance SV arrived Saturday afternoon and provided a quick and accurate description of the root cause, a burnt evaporator fan motor. It had burnt out because we had been stupid enough to block it. He said the part needed to be ordered and from the factory and gave me a quote of 463 usd (usd 175 labor, and the remaining for a evaporator fan motor). Given the urgency we signed him on and he said the part would arrive in time to deliver a fix by Tuesday. Victor arrived with the part a day later than committed, on Wednesday. After he replaced the part I asked him to give me the old part. I wanted to examine it to see how I might DIY a fix if a similar problem occurred in the future. He showed me the part and I saw a sticker on it with the part number information. However before he left, he removed the sticker from the part, which is outrageous. The good: Issue was fixed. The ugly: Massively overcharged for replacement part & stole the sticker from the old part. Later when I called the manager he said "you agreed to the price" which is fair, but when I asked him about the missing sticker and how stealing the sticker smells of price gouging he just deflected. Bottom line: they charged me about $250 for a part that costs $25 on amazon. Is there another explanation for why they would steal that sticker label? When I asked the manager to share the invoice that shows the cost at which they ordered the part he said something like "we are not allowed to share internal company confidential information" which again is nothing but a deflection. read more

100% recommend. Our washer has issues starting due to some sensors. They were able to send out a technician same day (Saturday) and get it fixed 30 minutes within arrival. They had all the parts on hand. The technician that came out was extremely friendly and supportive. We will definitely call again on our next issue. read more

Our refrigerator went out on Saturday May24, Labor Day weekend so I went through 3 or 4 appliance repair shops before I contacted Appliance SV and Victor showed up within about 3 hours. He diagnosed the problem in pretty short order and and came back the next day to install a control board. Though we ended up having to wait for another part to make sure everything would work properly, I was very pleased with Victor and his willingness to come out on a holiday weekend as he did. Fridge seems to be cooling fine and I will definitely call on these guys again if ever I have an appliance issue. read more

Our washer stopped working and I called SV appliances to come and fix my problem victor gave me an honest opinion and options of what I should do before he goes in further and invest more time to fix it when it inevitably the machine would fail. What an awesome response I got from vitally and thanks to him I got a new dishwasher. Thank you victor for a very straight forward solution Sometimes appliances need fixing but that wasn't my case. I would use SV Appliances again and highly recommend his knowledge and expertise in the field. Thank you Mike S. read more

Our LG washer just decided to take a break on us without any sign of distress, just like that it was gone, my husband wanted me to just order a new washer, but i just wanted to hear word from an expert first, as expected i when into this app sent a general request for a service, got several replies but the fastest was was Appliance SV, i took a chance on Viktor, not gonna go into details i don't think anybody cares but i will say at the end of the 2 visits (one to asses and another one to repair with the actual part ) i don't need to get a new washer, his knowledge saved us lots of headaches and $, he knew right away what to do, tried a couple of things until he got it right, he wont give up easily or ever. And now as a result we saved his number, it was a very positive experience i don't need to be looking around for anybody else to help us in the future, he is straightforward, and to me the most important thing is that he is creative, Honest and Resourceful. Appliance SV - the patient during consultation - Appliances & Repair Near Me

We called appliance SV and they came out a few hours later to fix my fridge. Was very reasonably priced and even offers a guarantee. Unfortunately it ended up not working still after the 24 hours. Victor back to try to fix it again. Unfortunately it would have been way to expensive to fix. Was very bummed out that I was going to lose out on my money I had already paid. Since they could not fix it they refunded me all my money back since they were not able to actually fix it. Wanted to say thank you and I will definitely use them for all my appliance repairs. Thank you again Victor and the appliance sv team!! read more

I can recommend this company because they were able to come out the following day to diagnose and repair my GE stove. The ignitor went out so it was an easy fix. I can't speak on pricing because I did not shop around for quotes but I believe the cost of labor was on the higher end, but they got it done quickly and the customer service level is high because they came back out again to move my stove back when the technician forgot to do this on repair day. read more

They were very accommodating with scheduling as we needed someone as soon as possible. We had Victor come out and he was knowledgeable and friendly. We will use this company again. read more

Victor fit us in at the end of his day which we appreciate it so much. He came completely stocked with equipment so that he did not have to come back the next day. He keeps equipment on his truck so that he can finish the job on the first visit whenever possible. He fixed our dryer, he cleaned the dryer and he cleaned the area around and behind the dryer and now you can't even hear it running. It's so quiet. He was great with the grand children, and even made jokes with the dog! You won't be disappointed if you use Appliance SV! read more

As a small business owner, I know when I'm trying to be sold. The sales tactics for repairs are nearly the same for most service techs, and this was no different. The price for a refrigerator compressor replacement was over priced and so was the labor cost. And the availability of the compressor was hard to get due to shipping, etc....oh but wait, I happen to have one in stock so here is my high end price ‍ The tech (Victor) was polite but didn't spend much time diagnosing the compressor. Timing: schedule was for a 3-hour time block and he showed up shortly after that block. But I understand that this is an arrival window which is a typical industry standard and techs get caught up at previous calls. I did receive a heads up phone call that the tech was on the way. Suggestion: use the notification settings for your CRM so the customer can be notified. I appreciate the low diagnostic fee, which is better than most other appliance repair companies; however, it's made up on the actual repairs. 2-stars for politeness, professionalism, and offering to take off your shoes in the home. Suggestion: invest in shoe covers read more

1. Punctual: Yes 2. Clear: Yes 3. Clean: Yes 4. Expedient: Yes 5. Independent: Yes 6. Small Business: Yes 7. Pricing: Mid-range 8. Customer Service: Great! Fridge/freezer stopped cooling overnight. Older fridge, but features comparable to what's on the market now. Okay, cheaper to repair than replace, right? No idea what I was doing. Used Yelp functionality to chat with a few companies. Chose Appliance SV. He came out quickly for a diagnostic, communicated through the entire process, repaired on the spot (after my consent). Explained how important his company's reputation is to him, being a small business owner, and guaranteed his work. No fuss, no mess! Even called the next day to followup. You get the service you pay for- absolutely worth his mid-range pricing (and beyond). Thanks SV! read more

I just want to say that I really appreciate the great service by Vitaly and his team. I had an issue with my GE fridge and he came over twice to explain what the problems are but he refused to charge me for the visit, which I found to be amazing since he had spent a significant amount of time and effort on it. Five star service and friendliness! I will use them again for any appliance issues I have in the future! read more

After trying to change out my cook top hood fan, I realized the job was too difficult to do on my own. I contacted Appliance SV and they immediately responded. They gave me a quote for the service call and said would be applied toward the cost of the service. I agreed and was able to get an appointment quickly. The service tech arrived on time, was extremely personable, ordered the part needed, quoted me a total cost, took a deposit and scheduled the return appointment. Later that evening, after talking to my husband, he thought the quote was a bit high. I contacted the company and discussed my concerns. They did explain the reason for the cost and said that they would give me a full refund of my deposit if I was unhappy. This was extremely unexpected and completely appreciated. I decided to move forward with the project. The part arrived in the time frame quoted and the service tech called me to let me know when he would be out. He again arrived on time, completed the job perfectly, and even offered me a discount. Working with Appliance SV has been nothing but a pleasure. Thank you for the amazing and professional customer service! Would highly recommend! read more

Had such a terrific experience with Appliance SV! My LG fridge stopped cooling overnight. We just bought $300 worth of food; it was gonna be a disaster! I called around early in the morning, no one was picking up the phone. I called Appliance SV around maybe like 7AM, very nice gentleman named Dan took my info and set up the visit for between 9AM and 12PM. Viktor came around 9AM and proceeded to diagnose the issue and fixed our fridge on the spot! Viktor explained everything along the way and charged us way less than we were honestly expecting! He was also very, very respectful and clean, which we very much appreciated. In short - they came promptly, fixed the issue on the spot, charged a very reasonable amount and we didn't even have to clean after them (in fact, they probably left our house cleaner than it was before)! Use them for all your appliance needs - I will for sure! read more

This is the company I'd call if you need any appliances serviced or repaired. Very responsive, very quick to arrive. Had my ice machine checked in less than an hour an immediately knew what was wrong. Will use their services again if need be. read more

Couldn't be happier with our experience. Victor was our tech. Initially called them for our LG fridge. Victor was quick to diagnose, order parts, and replace. Checked all functions of the fridge to make sure every thing was working properly. While I had him at the house. I had him look at our oven that was having a ignition prob. Took about 2 min for him to diagnose. Parts were ordered and replaced. He also cleaned up some other things that were wrong with the oven/stovetop free of charge. Great guy. Victor is very knowledgeable and skillful. He was a pleasure to deal with. Would absolutely recommend appliance sv to everyone. read more

Highly recommend Appliance SV. I contacted them for my washer that was not draining. I needed to have it repaired asap. They were able to schedule a same day service visit. Victor was very kind, helpful and straightforward with what was wrong and provided reasonable pricing. He was able to identify the issue quickly and fixed it on the spot. My washer is back up and running! Thanks again Appliance SV for turning what was a headache into a such a pleasant and quick resolution! :) They will most definitely be my go to for appliance repair! read more

Called them to repair our 29 year old Quasar microwave on 6/26/23. Dispatcher introduced himself as Dan, and the repair technician's name is Viktor. Our microwave was sometimes running when the door was open, and then it stopped working altogether. Viktor replaced the door latch mechanism and fuse at a cost of $317, which includes a $25 senior discount. The repair cost was reasonable, considering the response time was very fast, the repair was quick and efficient, and that we didn't have to take the microwave to a shop or replace it with a newer model of generally inferior quality. Parts and labor are warrantied for 90 days. We would definitely use them again for appliance repair. read more

I scheduled an appointment from 2-5pm and it's now 6:30pm and no one showed up or called. He said he left me a message which isn't true (I checked). I've owned my own Mobile Screen business and in my 30 years I've never blown off an appointment. read more

This was the second company we had out to diagnose two refrigerators that were not working. We were quoted $900 just to fix one Fridge by the first company. Then, Appliance SV fixed both fridges for less than half for one! It was done in just a few days also! Super pleased!! We will call them again for sure. read more

Noticed the refrigerator part of my 10 year old Maytag was warm while the freezer was super cold. Appliance SV arrived a few hours after my call and diagnosed the issue (failed control board) in about 10 minutes. They had the part in stock. My refrigerator had to stay shut off and open over night to allow all the built-up frost to thaw and evaporate before everything else could be checked to ensure replacing the board was all that was needed. Victor came back the next day, inspected the freezer system and installed the new board. He answered all my questions and was very friendly and helpful. I received heads-up calls both times Victor was on his way. No question I'll be calling them next time I need appliance help. read more

Professional and reliable. Will hire again if my fridge breaks down again. You should too.

Victor did a fantastic job bringing our old GE Monogram refrigerator back to life.

We called and they came out the same day. They saved us money and took care of the problem with very little time and cost. Thank you Appliance SV! read more

Thank you for responding to my questions about my freezer! I would have unplugged it and lost several hundred dollars worth of food.

My Subzero fridge suddenly stopped working properly and we had a full house with out of town guests! Lucky for us, Vitalii showed up less than an hour after a phone call and fixed everything almost immediately! He was polite, very clean and respectful, explained everything he was doing and we were left utterly impressed by his level of service and expertise. Our fridge is working flawlessly now, thank you Appliance SV! read more

My husband and I were very impressed with the excellent work performed by the man who came. Our refrigerator had suddenly stopped working. The diagnosis was that the compressor had quit and needed to be replaced. He had to go to attend to other customers previously scheduled, but promised to return with all p parts and equipment in the latter part of the day. He was considerate, kind and efficient. Everything is back in working order, and we are very happy! read more

I was happy with the service. After the service technician left and fixed the noise my dryer was making, the dryer wasn't getting hot . I texted them and they came back that same evening and checked the dryer. The problem was with my vent and not the dryer. Thank you! read more

I woke up on a Sunday morning to find a leak under my refrigerator. When I called Appliance SV a human answered the phone and set up an appointment for just a few hours later. The technician (Victor) who arrived got right to work and was able to diagnose the issue pretty quickly. The problem was a filter that needed to be ordered, so we ordered it and he came back a few days later with the part. In the meantime he has stopped the leak and the fridge was working. I was really happy to find someone who would come to my house on short notice on a Sunday. Viktor was also a nice guy and sincere about doing a good job. read more

Couldn't vouch for any repair. Constantine assessed the problem and told us we'd need a couple parts. Someone was to get back to us in a couple hours with an estimate. So, after they take your $49, you don't hear from them again. Nothing but a rip off. read more

We had Vitalii come out to investigate a washing machine issue. He was wonderful to work with, super knowledgeable, and friendly. Contacted this company to fix our dryer. The schedule is between 5-7 pm, he came in before 4pm. I showed him the dryer, he looked at it, did not open the back of dryer or anything, then after 3 mins he told me it will cost $515 for repair kit. A brand new same dryer cost $400. I told him that and he said "I dont know how much it cost, I'm just telling you the cost repair." What a rip off! read more

This was the second company I had called to come check out the washing machine. Dude did a diagnostic on the washing machine, it was making a loud noise that I showed him a video of. He told me it needed a full drum replacement for almost $500 and it would take a week to get parts and fix. At my wits end, I googled and YouTubed and apparently, all it needed was a $70 pulley system and new belt. Works perfect and sounds amazing. Don't try to rip people off if you don't know what you're doing. read more

While we did not get off to a good start, they made things right standing behind the work they did. And for that I am updating my review.

Our microwave went down after two years. A technician came out same day as we called and was very nice. Diagnosed our microwave and it was too much due to parts. I appreciated the upfront honesty and trying to work to bring down the cost but it wasn't cost effective due to the magnetron being bad. The timeliness and honesty is greatly appreciated. read more

Our refrigerator stopped maintaining temperature overnight. We contacted several places the following morning. Appliance SV was very responsive, had availability to come check it that morning, and was the least expensive for a check. Victor (technician) was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Turns out that the fridge needed minimal work, that we could do ourselves (full defrost and clean). He was honest and instead of making up a part to order and install, educated us on how to do it on our own. He appeared genuinely sorry to charge us for the visit. We really appreciated his thorough evaluation and honest help. We will definitely use Appliance SV if we need appliance help in the future! read more
