I was happy with the earlier incarnation of Appliance Services for years. When our dishwasher had a problem we gave 'em a call, and after examining the unit, the Tech explained that "It was a judgement call. It might make more sense to replace it." We certainly understood, but then the repairman continued, explaining that if we wanted to buy a new unit, there was really only one retailer we should use. He even went so far as to name the saleswoman we should deal with, and encouraged us to "write it down." It seemed odd, but we drove down to that retailer, met the woman, and was walked through a high pressure, and very confusing sales pitch for an extremely expensive dishwasher made by a company we had never heard of. We left, and bought a different unit elsewhere. About a year later, our clothes washer developed some problems, and a different repair person from Appliance Services gave us a nearly identical speech... Same retailer suggested, same sales woman suggested... same experience of an odd and expensive unit suggested... same scam..., in every detail...! read more

Top notch, hard working, professional, high-quality appliance services repair (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, etc.) Awesome team (David, Craig, Karen & Wayne before he retired) are super dependable, easy scheduling, accommodating and very attentive to detail. You can tell that they are passionate about making sure customers get the best experience and always maintain superior service. Karen recently took time to explain best options regarding recommendation/advice when purchasing a new washing machine ("a product that is more mechanical/non-digital" versus "product that is mostly digital that's totally filled with sensors"). i have a huge refrigerator with a huge freezer that was full with food and it stopped working. david from appliance services came to my house and he was wonderful. he came into my kitchen and immediately started working on my refrigerator and he found out the problem and fixed it. if i ever need help with any of my appliances again i will call appliance services in epping, nh at 603-679-3280 again : thank you david. read more

What a great experience. Called today because I had an issue with my microwave. Wayne diagnosed 2 bad switches over the phone. He asked me to give him a few minutes to see if he had the switches in stock. He called back within the hour and said he did and would like to have Craig come by SAME DAY and fix it. 3 hours later I have a working microwave again. This is as good as it gets. Very nice people with years of experience diagnosing and repairing. No gimmicks, just quality service. This will always be my first call even if my appliance is under warranty. Absolutely horrible customer service. I had the misfortune of having my service visit assigned to this company for warranty service. They assigned me a four-hour time block, and I took a precious half vacation day after getting a confirmation call from Appliance Services 2 days in advance. Half an hour AFTER the end of the block, I received a call from the tech. At that point, after wasting half of a vacation day, I had returned to work. When I called the home office to tell them that I would not be there because the tech missed my appointment window, I was told "we're running late; what are we supposed to do about that?" Of course, that response did nothing to diffuse the situation. I was then told that the two appointments that morning had run long, and that "we have no control over that." Also, "the dispatch company books these appointments without telling us, so we may not be free." Finally, the best/worst: in response to my (admittedly now beyond irritated) reply that these are all Appliance Services' problems, not mine, he responded "well, it's your problem now." I'll give you a sec to let that response sink in, from a person allegedly in a customer service business. Just by way of background, although the tech could call me half an hour after the expiration time, he apparently could not call DURING the appointment time to advise he was running late (because they didn't want to lose the money for the call, of course). Further, despite the statement that the dispatch company "books without checking with us", Appliance Services called to confirm the appointment, so as of two days before they weren't so booked that they couldn't handle the business. Moreover, as to what I expect them to do about their lateness - I expect them to know how to schedule appointments, and if they screw up, to 1) call the customer; 2) apologize for wasting his/her time; and 3) offer to fix it, including working overtime as necessary. It is shocking to me that people who presumably deal with customers all of the time don't understand that dealing with a frustrated customer is actually that simple, especially when there is absolutely no doubt that the business is in the wrong (completely missing an appointment window is a good example). I'm actually not a believer in the customer always being right - sometimes the customer is dead wrong - but I am a believer in admitting when you messed something up and making it right. This company wasted my time and then failed that basic test of treating people the way you would like to be treated. Not a company I'll ever deal with again, and I recommend you don't either. read more

We own an old Magic Chef stove that has lived a good life. Wayne replaced the glass top a few years ago and it has continued to function perfectly. Last week, the oven door became locked after the Clean cycle was interrupted. We tried re-running the cycle, but the door remained locked. After only 5 minutes on the phone with Wayne today, my oven is not only unlocked and usable, but there was no need for a service call and no charge. His knowledge of mechanisms and appliances helped him walk me through the best way to fix the problem. Wayne and Appliance Services will always be our first call. read more

FAST SERVICE, ON TIME, KNOWLEDGEABLE, GOOD VALUE!!! Been using Appliance Services for 30 years, either for appliance repair in my house, or to pick up a part they have in stock. Wayne knows all the home appliances, he knows what breaks on them, and has most parts in stock or can get them quickly. He will give you an accurately quote or tell you whether it is worth repairing or not. His employees are extremely competent, and have been working for him for years. That says something about his business!! Recently had them repaired a 15-year old washing machine. They had all the parts in stock and came out in 2 days. Wayne had diagnosed the problems over the phone, quoted me a 2.5 hour 'window' for start time (12:30-3pm) Technician arrived promptly at 12:30, worked quickly, and finished in 1 hour. IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS, EVERYONE I KNOW USES APPLIANCE SERVICES!!! read more

Wayne's a very nice guy and after talking on the phone (after doing some goose-chasing to find a part for a broken fridge), he recommended that instead of having me bring him over and charge $100+ for a simple fix, that I should just drop by his shop and buy what he thought was the needed part right from him with no labor cost. When I came by we troubleshot for a bit and then I was off - fridge worked after I installed the new relay! Very helpful and not at all trying to push unnecessary service on you. Arrived on time, had a Whirlpool digital washer wouldn't agitate and we had just finished paying on it! He was honest and told me after spending over an hour on and off phone that my washer needed expensive repairs and we were better off buying another somewhere NOT digital (Never finance through a rent a center!)
