I had a "repair guy" come from a certain institution of a store--he looked at my fridge, barely did anything, and $250 later said it was fine. It wasn't. If you're looking for an honest person with integrity, look no further. I am letting everyone in my local network know how great Aaron is. Word of mouth in a small town like Hilo is golden--and Aaron deserves every reference I can give. Let this message be your sign. I''ve not posted on Yelp in years, but came here today to sing praises for the Appliance Medic!!

"Butane is the bastard gas. I sell propane and propane accessories." - Hank Hill…read more Friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. Hilo Propane has basically all of the things that you would want in a place where you'd come for your propane and propane accessories. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the great Hank Hill would certainly approve. Located in the industrial area, HP is in a pretty central location in town. I think my favorite part about coming here is that if you have a pickup truck, you can simply pull right up to their big tank and they'll fill you up without even making you take your tank out from the back of your truck. It makes life so much easier when you have around a nine or ten gallon tank. Those things can get pretty heavy when full. Although I haven't ever had to get anything from their shop, they do have a ton of pieces for any sort of propane system that you may have, which could be really helpful when even places like Home Depot and Ace Hardware don't carry them. When you come here, you can expect a no B.S. experience, which I can appreciate, and I'm sure most others will agree with me. If you're switching from electric to gas, I'd highly suggest giving Hilo Propane a try.

The issue on my tractor was that it smoked excessive when running. It took him several trips and weeks to repair. I kept asking him for an estimated cost and his only reply was "my wife will have to figure it out ". He charged me over $500. And also gave me a lecture on justifying his overpriced invoice. He will eventually have to rename his business due to the many negative reviews such as mine. He has no clue how to run a business. The customer is always right. Never call this guy for anything.

Art is such a professional and skilled repairman that I've actually put off writing this review…read morebecause I selfishly wanted to keep him for ourselves- ( knowing that when people read this, he'll be booked SOLID!) Ha! We first encountered Art when he took a referral from our home warranty company years ago. Since then, if my husband can't manage something, we call Art! He is "good peeps" through and through.. And just a few of the jobs he's tackled for us are: painting, laying tile, wood construction, installing and building cabinets, fixing a shower wall leak--I sometimes wonder if there's anything he CAN'T do!!!! So I'm going to do the right thing and share him with you. He often arrives with his trusty steed ( Dalmation dog,"Terk,") by his side! Terk is the nicest, smartest dog I've ever met and he remains in Art's van with food, water and chew toys until his Dad if finished. Oh... and Art's fees are more than reasonable! So there you go--I hope this answers your need for help--but don't "hog him" OKAY?!!!!!

This was the most ATROCIOUS, UNPROFESSIONAL, and LAZY service I have ever experienced…read more Called as a new customer requesting emergency service for a broken water pump and no water. Website states they provide 24/7 service, but the owner was extremely reluctant to help because it was "his day off." He treated me like I was a HUGE inconvenience and wasting his time. I sent him some pictures of the broken pump as per his request. Of course, while trying to find the information he needed on the pump, he treated me like I was an idiot. I told him to take his time as it was New Years Day, and didn't want to pressure him. I drove into town and my text messaging was off for only about 30 minutes. Next thing I know, the owner is literally SCREAMING and CURSING at me by text. Yes, you heard it... cursing at me. What kind of business owner CURSES at his new customers?! I have never experienced such an unprofessional behavior, lazy attitude, and atrocious service in my life. This guy needs a lesson in professionalism and manners. I'm actually glad he didn't actually come and attempt repairs - he probably would have created a huge mess, and tried to overcharge or blame his customers. What a mess of a business this guy is! As other reviews have said...do yourself a favor and find another company. Worst service ever! Like Share
