I eventually fixed the problem myself, that was not related to his advice. Turns out the built in diagnostics were misleading on this Samsung refrigerator. Al S., if you ever review your review, please change if needed. Our refrigerator abruptly stopped cooling. All systems except the compressor functioned, so I knew the problem was the just-after-COVID compressor manufacturing. It's a known problem and there's an extended warranty of 5 years on the sealed system (the "piping") and 10 years on the compressor. To limp through until the repair we were putting 20 pounds of ice split into containers on the shelves to make the world's largest ice chest. We put towels under each container to absorb any condensation, which is important. (see below) I went through the online chat process with LG for a compressor warranty repair after discovering that a previous online chat had given me a local company that doesn't do warranty work. I received a text notice later that day that the service would be performed by MGM, and to expect a phone call within two days. MGM called the next morning and asked if they could do the repair that afternoon. Great news. Godfrey arrived in the middle of the service window, replaced the compressor and cleaned up in about 35 minutes, asking exactly how we wanted the refrigerator to be positioned in its spot. He was personable, courteous, knowledgeable, and amazingly quick. Before doing the work he complimented the use of the towels. They prevent any condensation from dripping down and getting into the lower vents, then freezing and blocking the vents when the refrigerator works again. After the repair he suggested that we remove the ice after about five hours to prevent the sensor system from getting confused. All in all, we had a great experience with MGM Appliance Service.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wooten Appliance Repair. They gave me a clear estimate of before starting the job, which I agreed to. However, after the work was done, I was shocked to be charged double than the agreed upon original estimate. The technician offered no explanation and no reasoning. This is completely unprofessional and unethical. Pricing should be based on the job, not who I am or where I live. I went ahead and paid the full amount. I would not recommend Wooten to anyone looking for honest or transparent service. I feel taken advantage of, and will be warning others to stay away.
