Capital Appliance was sent out by Electrolux as my fridge was having a lot of condensation issues…read moreand was under warranty. Capital Appliance did not fix my fridge that was under warranty from Frigidaire. My fridge is now out of warranty. The request was put in April. Their tech came out in April, nothing was replaced or fixed. No one came back out until September to replace a back panel. That did not fix the condensation issue. The tech's damaged the fridge, floors, and oven. The tech cracked a hole in my fridge that condensation is not getting into. The owner Robert made it seem he was working with Electrolux to replace the fridge unit. Is not responsive to emails and phone calls. Found out from Electrolux that Capital Appliance closed my file behind by back. They lied to Electrolux about the diagnosis, lied about fixing the fridge, lied about the parts that were fixed, and pushed my fridge outside of warranty. My fridge is still not fixed and the owner/business will not respond to my emails. I would not recommend Capital Appliance and I would not recommend Frigidaire/Electrolux products.

He then very quickly got back to us with exact quotes for each of the two possible solutions, and advised of a multi-week back order for the main part. His financial arrangements are very straightforward and represent good value. In the end we decided to go with a new washer, but Alan really impressed us and we will have him as first choice for any other appliance issues we may face.

Peter was in the area, and arranged to come within a couple hours. He was properly masked, had all of his tools, and went straight to work. Within 15 minutes he discovered the problem. The bad news was that the stove could not be fixed and would have to be replaced. Peter gave me some recommendations on new stoves to consider, which to avoid, and even which retailers to contact. He also alerted me about a couple installation issues I might encounter, given my countertop configuration. All really valuable advice. Peter is also a very pleasant guy, and is easy to talk to. The freezer panel was supposed to be looked at last as an afterthought, as I told the lady on the phone. But he wanted to see it first. So he had me empty the freezer, took it off to see behind it then told me the panel could be ordered and replaced. That I could do it myself or my landlord could. Expensive panel, VERY expensive, for a piece of plastic!! He said $390-something, for a piece of plastic. Then he watched the ice maker make one round of ice, about 10 nuggets, it worked that long, he asked me for the diagnostic charge, $82, it didn't go through on his debit machine so he called his company for advice. Was on the phone with them for a few minutes, then put it through a different way, I paid him and he left. Didn't even stay long enough to see it crap out. Right after he left, the ice maker did what it's been doing - stopped and went back to the "add water" light even though it's FULL OF WATER. So like I said, $82 out of my pocket and he did nothing. The ice maker is still broken like it was and he did nothing to it. *SIGH* Very disappointed.

Absolute nightmare. If I could give negative stars I would…read more Called for service June 5. Paid $169 for the initial service call and pre-paid $74 for the required part on June 6. Tech installed the part on June 9 and tested by heating water (asked me how long it takes to heat water in the microwave). Tech said everything was working and I paid another $262.50 for the install. Went to use the stove a few hours later (its a speed oven) and realized it was turning on but not heating AT ALL. I recalled the tech had taken the glass bowl of water he was heating out of the microwave with his bare hands (which obviously you cannot do if the water is hot). I didn't notice at the time because I was working while he did the repair. So he was either straight up lying or totally incompetent. Called the company immediately (around 7pm - tech had left around 5pm) and spoke to someone quite rude who said it was 'after hours' and someone would call me the next day. Was in no way apologetic that I had just paid for a repair on an essential appliance and told the issue was fixed, only to discover after the tech leaves it was not at all fixed. On June 10 I had 5 calls with the company about how they planned to resolve the fact that I had just paid $517.65 for nothing. They said they would give me a 'free check' on June 11 (it's not a 'free check' when you've taken money for a job that you didn't do). New tech inspects the stove, determines it needs a new control board. Company quotes $1280.50 for this repair. Cost of a new stove with a warranty is $2395. (If you're doing the math Techvill's cost is $1798.15, equaling 75% of the cost of a brand new stove with warranty). June 12 I contact the company and request a refund for the part and labour to install it, saying I'll pay the initial service call charge. On June 13 I email the company asking for my money back. When I still hadn't received any communication from the company by June 16, I call first thing in the morning. I'm told the person investigating my complaint will call me back within a few hours. No one calls. I call back late in the day and I'm told the person investigating my complaint isn't at work, they will call me tomorrow. No one contacts me on June 17. I follow up today, June 18, and insist on speaking to the person making this decision. Unfortunately "that person has just gone on lunch at 1:11pm" (time of my first call was 1:24pm, was disconnected and second call was 1:36pm). I say the company provides a 90-day warranty and I can't understand why there is any question about this. I am told the manager is investigating and needs to speak to the tech. "That is the only update I can provide." So, if you don't value your time, money or sanity, this is the company for you. PS.
