Do NOT use this company!!! They had a sales associate order the wrong appliance package for me and now that sales associate is no longer there and the store will NOT make it right! Their stance is I should have known the serial numbers that their associate was putting in was the correct ones! How would I know that??? They're only resolution to me was pay a 20% restocking fee for items I never ordered in the first place and then if I wanted to order the correct items, I'd have to pay another delivery fee. We dont even know what is wrong with it except it randomly shuts off. They have changed 'warranty' companies 3 times. This time they have cancelled the day before they are supposed to be here, after rescheduling it twice. I cannot get ahold of a live person, we have left several msgs even with corporate. Will not EVER purchase from this company again. This company is taking advantage of an elderly community as this fridge and its warranty were purchased for an Assisted Living Facility. Appliance Direct was part of our initiation into the CFL way of life: I mean, those fromage-full ads that were ubiquitous on TV did the job and got us into their old location (SE corner of 429 and 436); we got our fridge and stove from them! Now that our over-the-range microwave needs replacing, I thought I should at least check them out at their new location. I shouldn't have bothered. First impression was extreme 'blah' - that gentleman couldn't have cared less if I had any questions or needed help. Since I only looked at the OTR microwave, I can't comment on any of the other appliances: they do have many selections, albeit not as many as Best Buy (where I went next), and there were more older models than newer ones. Prices appear to be competitive, even for the new ones - you may not want to tempt fate with their out-of-the-box lineup, since the gentleman warned me (helpfully?) that there may be a part missing with those. I took a quick whirl that lasted 4.5 minutes and promptly departed. I know there's the one extreme, where the shop keeper keeps hounding and following you, but this other extreme of total non-attention is perhaps worse, in that, with the former, you can politely tell them to "BACK THE *#$^ OFF!!!" (OK - JK); with this, you almost have to beg for help. I'm here to shop, not to beg. Sayonara! read more

Wife had to drive to store to find anything out and manager then promise "first thing next morning". No . . . do not go here! I bought a GE Profile French door, non finger print, stainless steel refrigerator, granted it was an opened box item on the show room floor. BUT..This refrigerator upon delivery was in-operative and my refrigerator upon delivery had damage NOT present during viewing on the showroom floor at Appliance Direct in Altamonte Springs, FL the day of my purchase! The delivery personnel stripped the screws on the handle leaving it broken, and left a loose handle on the bottom freezer, also they dented the top right French door, in addition delivery personnel damaged my counter top while installing! Granted they brought me a new handle the next day BUT guess what... they refrigerator would not cool...EVER! In-Op 100%. Do you think they would plug the refrigerator in and test it before delivery? Obviously NOT! Appliance Direct would give me any information about the day of delivery o the delivery time window... until the day of delivery. App.Dir. would provide me NO delivery company name, or telephone number for delivery personnel. Very weird. This retailer sold me , for $2,729.00, faulty equipment. I wasted hours of my time placing a hold on my credit and going to the store to get a full refund hopefully today! App. Dir. will hopefully willingly refund me and come and get their faulty merchandise. I would look elsewhere even if you have to wait for your items on due to back order due to the pandemic. Incompetent, useless, staff- including the supervisor. My dog could do the job better. I own a property in Central Florida and we have tenants in it. I'm calling them out of state, placing an order online, for a refrigerator, as the tenants needed it. These idiots.... we call and speak to a guy who emails us a link to pay for the fridge. No problem. We do it online and a page pops up that says the receipt/order will be emailed. The fridge is suppose to be delivered next day. The next day comes and no fucking fridge. We call them and the guy tells us "oh, the card didn't go through." ???? It didn't go through and you didn't think to call us and tell us?? So, we go through the same motions thinking maybe our bank suspected fraud (turns out it was an error on their own system, not ours). We get the second link. We pay. It says it went through. Once AGAIN, none of these guys think to call us to tell us that their system is screwed up and my tenants won't be receiving the fridge!! So it's day 3, no fridge, zero communication on their end, and we're calling them like what in the actual hell. I've never been so pissed at the lack of care. I received a call on Friday asking if it was still ok for them to call me on Saturday morning at 10 to give me the delivery time. I received the call right at 10 AM on Saturday stating the delivery time would be between 12:30 and 2:30 pm. Then at 12:30 pm the showed up with the freezer! I was completely stonewalled when I attempted to go up the chain of command. As of April 7, I still have nothing but a receipt to show for my money spent. That person screwed up from the minute i walked i there to the end of dealing with them! He told me he could order a refrigerator that i clearly told him said first come first serve on the website, i called before i drove 45 minutes to get there.. Everything I said went in one ear and out the other. 1o days later i still havent been called so I call to find out where my fridge is,and "OH it looks like this was discontinued! WHAT!!! He never alls me back that day I had to call him, so i do his job and call around to find one. Somehow one shows up at his store the next day but does he call me to tell me this? I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator & dishwasher from this store on 6/20/20. It took them 2-3 weeks for them to deliver them. A few days after installing refrigerator I called & spoke to Robert about a loud noise fridge was making. He said call whirlpool they will look at it for free. A tech came a week later & then a week after receiving the part to replace a thermeister( is what he called it) . After he installed it was still making noise he said to give it 24hrs, I did & it still made a noise. I called Robert & he said "once we sell it it's not our responsibility anymore, you have to call manufacturer. I said that's ridiculous, you sold it you should stand behind it! Anyway I called whirlpool and they sent a 2nd tech out who said nothing is wrong with it but that the loud noise was normal. I then called the district office & spoke to guy. He said he would call me back after trying to resolve it. He did not, after a week of him ignoring me from his cell I called the corporate office and spoke to him. He said there's nothing I can do. I said wow that's how you do business? He said yes & hung up on me. I called the store and spoke to peter the assistant manager and told him the issue. He said unfortunately it's not up to him or else he would exchange it. I told him I would call Robert the next day since he never called me back earlier, which is why I called corporate. The next day I spoke to Robert who said he would speak to his representative to see what they can do. I've still not heard from him, 2 weeks later. All I want is a different fridge that doesn't make a loud noise! I spent 1350 on this fridge, had I known they didn't stand behind their product and that they were so rude & unprofessional I would've never went there. We purchased a new scratch & dent Whirlpool refrigerator almost a year ago. So far, the fridge is working well. The installation was extremely well done, especially considering a very difficult and tight game room space. The whole fridge had to be lifted over the counter. (thank you, architect :)) Given the bare bones nature of a scratch & dent business, we were super nervous about the whole transaction, but it turned out just great. We got a fridge for half-price of retail and an impressive installation, even tho' it was a third-party contractor. None of this was our dream situation and not usually what we do, but it was the only product in town that matched our space constraints...so we took a leap. Phew! Good luck to everyone out there looking for appliances! Would (almost) rather have a root canal! P.S. If I could give 0 stars I would. I will NEVER shop here again. I purchased a refrigerator back in April. I was told delivery would be in 7 days. Weeks later and several follow ups, they told me it would be delivered in May. No one could tell me what the issue was. May came, they said June because now it was on back order (other stores had it in stock- I checked, but the price was better here). They told me to change the color of the fridge and I could get it in 7 days. I declined and waited until the June date. Still no fridge. They again told me if I ordered a different color I could get it in 7 days, so I compromised and changed the color. 7 days later still no fridge. I called Thursday (after the 7 days), no one could help me and told to call back to speak to the manager Friday. Called Friday and was told the manager wasn't in and to call Saturday. Called Saturday and I was told the manager was off and to call back on Sunday. I called Sunday and told the manager was off and to call back Monday. I was sick of the run around so the guy said he would research and call back, as from what he could tell I ordered 2 refrigerators. Guess what, NO call back. So Monday I called and spoke to someone else who said they would speak to the "head" Corporate guy and call me back by noon. Guess what - NO call back again. I finally called later that day and requested to cancel my order (July 2nd). They charged my card back in April, and I was told I would have to call back tomorrow to ask for a credit. After I put up a fuss about having to call back, he said he would process the credit the next day. I waited 2 weeks for credit to post which never did, so I called back. Guess what there was a new manager who told me he would credit me right away. I waited 2 weeks and still no credit. As of today I still have not received my credit. I have filed a complaint with BBB. The company is a joke and you pay for what you get. Side Note: I went to Lowes on Tuesday, July 2nd at 5 pm and had my fridge delivered on July 4th for only $100 more...it wasn't worth the $100, since I am out $1600 because they haven't credited me and all the hours I have spent on the phone. read more
