The staff are allways happy to help and will often lend advice and tell you about things that you didnt consider.

This store is well located right next door to the enormous Tesco Extra and I guess the majority of their trade comes from Tesco customers as you wouldn't be passing it otherwise. It therefore benefits from good parking, but strangely on the 2 occasions I've been in the shop it's been fairly quiet. With my limited knowledge of bath products, I would say that these guys sell good quality branded stuff, from the Eurpoean suppliers rather than the mass market carp that comes out of China. This does make a difference when you come to getting old Joe the plumber to put it all together! Pricey, but they're negotiable, and the owner seems to be hands on, so worth having a chat if you're serious about buying something. They have another larger showroom just off Wheatley Hall Rd which has more stuff to look at as well.

If you cannot find it here - ASK the staff - they are normally quite helpful but also prone to being grumpy. Mostly, the staff are helpful and polite. I personally buy my preserving jars, bakeware and any other odds and pieces that I might need from time to time. The prices could be lower - but as a small shop on the highstreet - I understand why the shop doesn't sell cheap - it's not the sort of shop with masses of stock and sell cheap. I hope these kind of independent small shops will stay around as you won't find a sturdy and properly made tea strainer in the supermarket - just as an example.

I'd tried to buy a toilet in just about every place in Doncaster and apart from the really naff cheap ones in B&Q, I couldn't get hold of one anywhere that I could take away (following a bodge by the plumber which required urgent loo replacement!). This lot don't carry stock either, but the owner was on site and went through the showroom with me and showed me all the models that he would be able sell me from the shop floor, which was exactly what I needed. You don't get that sort of flexibility with the national chains, and I got a really good quality loo as well for quite a reasonable price. I'd recommend a visit to this store, or their other one next door to Tesco at Balby if you're in the market for anything bathroom related.

The hospital itself is just a few miles outside of Worksop, so it's quite appropriate that they should have a shop in the town, and I think that the nature of the charity means that (on a more mercinary note!) you're far more likely to find some really great bargain purchases there as people are keen to donate as much as they can to help them out. I've only been in once, and they are a bit cramped but they've still got a lot of stuff packed in, and most of it is really good quality stuff. As well as second hand donations, they sell some really nice gifts, homewares and nick-nacks which are relatively cheap - at least if you're giving one of these, you know you're doing some good rather than lining the pockets of a multi-national corporation's CEO. If you're looking to off-load your wardrobe excesses, then I couldn't recommend giving it to these guys highly enough. They've got their own .org website, and I challenge anyone to remain dry-eyed at the work they do. They have a paid search facility through their site too, where they get revenue from your searches, so even if you live too far from the area or can't afford to give time or money you can raise them a few pennies this way.

fantastic! this is such a small/tiny shop but has so much…read moregood stuff packed in you wouldnt belive. much of the stock is designer labels thanks to some very very kind people that donate to the store. i got my baby girl the most beautiful winter coat from here brand new with a price tag of £24 for just £3!!! that staff are fantastic, if you cant find what your looking for out on sale they are more than happy to look in the back and see what they have incase theres that perfect item sat waiting for you. they have loads of brand new items throughout the year to be used as gifts and its always the first place i look for a nice new cuddly bear for my mum as a little stocking filler for xmas or that special touch for a b-day gift. well done blue bell wood :o)
