I bought a brand-new Frigidaire electric range from Appliance Canada in January 2025. It was delivered in early February, and right on the first night, it started showing error codes and making loud beeping noises. Worst Customer service ever! I bought a dishwasher . The VP of Sales , who sold me the dishwasher referred me to an installer he has been working with for 10 years . The installer was in and out of me place in 10 minutes. Shortly after he left I ran my new dishwasher, and it began to leak under my sink. I called the installer and he can back to tighten the hose connection . The leak was less . However the next day it was much worse so the installer came back a 2nd time only to advice he couldn't fix the leak. I hired a plumber to inspect ,and he advice the dishwasher was not connect correctly . He tried to remove the dishwasher to repair it properly but it was stuck. The installer had not adjusted the rear legs before he forced it into its pace . the plumber advised me that the dishwasher would break if he removed it. I had to pay the plumber to repair the leak caused by incorrect installation . The plumber advice that going forward if any repairs are required at the back of the machine, I would need to buy a new dishwasher as the current one could not be removed without damage . I reached out to the VP of sales who advised I would need to deal with the installer . The installer advised he would not honor his mistake . So I'm left with an incorrect installed dishwasher and additional plumbing cost . So frustrated and disappointed with the company , and their very poor customer service. read more

Absolutely atrocious customer service. If this company comes with the builder, save yourself the headache and money and go elsewhere. ANYWHERE is better then Appliance Canada on Jane St. Everyone passes the blame onto someone else. We have been dealing with them since February. Our first experience was getting a call that the delivery was on the way to our house, then they never showed up. The delivery driver then screened our calls. We told customer service, yet there is no note of this anywhere. We even had an installer over to hook everything up. We have a three year old, so having working appliances in a new house is just a tad important. Customer service is also closed on the weekend, and we had no one to talk to until Monday about the delivery that never came. We have been waiting for microwave since February. They have all come damaged. We have asked for a credit but they want to constantly exchange. So we send them back, they never have the same microwave in stock. They provide alternates at a higher cost. We agree because all we want is this microwave so we can be done with Appliance Canada. When i say the items have been damaged, i don't mean a simple scratch. We couldn't even get the door open on one of them because it was so warped! But we have been told "we do not send out damaged boxes or products". Whatever their policy and procedure is, it should be looked over, because if this is what they send out to customers with someone checking them first, then that should be a big red flag. Here is my story; My story started 3 years ago, when I purchased GE Profile Range Appliance. During the first week of usage, we've realized some issues with the oven temperature and scratches at back of the range. I called Bhaget (sales person) at the Mississauga store, he said I will replace it for you, and he did. However, the second one was worse than the first, and Bhaget directed me the warranty company, and for 3 years my wife and I suffered trying trying to find a solution to our problems. Finally, the warranty company gave up, and gave us store credit for the range, but unfortunately we've had to buy a new range from Appliance Canada, which we did and our new appliance top class "GE Café range" was delivered on Dec. 18, 2023. And again, during the first week we faced same or similar issues, I called, txt, and emailed Bhaget, he answered NO return, we can't take it back. Once the appliance delivered we take NO responsibility, you've to contact customer service and the manufacturer. Terrible Customer Service This company does not care about your satisfaction or treat you as a valued customer. My dishwasher was delivered damaged with a crack and dent to the back corner. Because I was told it was only cosmetic and that there were no other ones of that model in stock and a several month wait for another one, I decided to take it. I called the store right away and sent pictures and was told I would receive a discount once it was installed and I was sure it was working properly. When my contractor went to install the dishwasher, he noticed a crack in a part at the end of the water hose. I sent a picture of this customer service and was told that this was only protective housing and was to be removed. I expressed my doubts as in the installation instructions, it shows the hose installed with this so called housing intact. I also said it didn't look removable and was told to just take a screwdriver and pry it off. Because I felt uncertain that this was the truth, I called Bosch. They said they would send a repair person to verify. The repair person was shocked and said this cracked part was essential and he ordered a new hose. Thus, I was spared from damaging my machine further if I had followed the instructions I had been given. I called customer service back to inform them about what happened and ask again for my discount. I was told that now I was with Bosch, they would not deal with me. My impression of this company is that you can't trust them to make you a satisfied customer. PAUL, the salesman at the Kane St location, told me the color I wanted would be discontinued in the new year, so it was good I was ordering them now. So all is good, right? Nope!! I noticed 1 missed call in early February, but there was no message. He tells me the oven I ordered, the center of my kitchen is discontinued! I'm confused. Stay away from this appliances provider. Read reviews before making a decision. Purchased a floor model Thermador fridge from the Appliance Canada showroom. Salesperson insured us that it was as good as new and was covered by factory warranty. The fridge ended up not working even for 1 minute after delivery... apparently, it did not work while it was on a showroom floor and the salespeople just needed to get rid of it. Took 4 visits from Thermador and over one month of time for technicians to realize that the fridge is not fixable. They also mentioned that the model we bought was made in 2011 (thanks to Appliance Canada for not mentioning that). During these 4 - 5 weeks, my family had to live without the fridge, eat out all the time and make ourselves available for service appointments during the workdays. Expenses, expenses, expenses... "Fantastic experience"... Finally, after over a month Thermador decided to replace our unfixable fridge. By 'replacing' they actually meant issuing a store credit of about $4000 for a floor model fridge... (regular price over $8000). Personally, I don't think that it's fair on behalf of Thermador and they had to actually replace the item with a working one, but hey, whatever, we needed a new fridge. Thermador is a whole different story. Called Appliance Canada and purchased another fridge from them (this time brand new, no floor models), had to pay another $4200 extra to get it. This is where the fun stuff began to happen. Apparently Appliance Canada subcontract installers and delivery to independent contractors who are not connected in any way with each other or the sales department in Appliance Canada. We were told by the sales rep that the installer will come to our house to disconnect the broken fridge and take the panels off. We were given the phone number of the installer whom we had to contact ourselves and schedule the time. Okay, no problem. Called the guy, he came and uninstalled the appliance. Asked us to call him back and schedule another visit once the fridge is delivered (remember? delivery people don't install anything). A sales rep told us that delivery people will call us a couple of days in advance and will give us a timeslot of when the new fridge will be delivered. Guess what? I receive a call at 11AM from a random person saying that they have my fridge and they will be at our house in 45 minutes... Well.... whatever gets me the new fridge. I take off from work and rush to the house. When delivery people arrived it works out that there are 3 steps leading to our front yard and another 5 steps leading to the porch. Thus they can't bring the 30-inch fridge inside and I have to call back the store to reschedule the delivery so they could bring more men with them. WHAAAAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS!? How was the first fridge delivered? Called customer service ASAP just to hear from the manager that there is nothing he could do and we should've informed him of the stairs... SERIOUSLY? Why did not you ask about the stairs? How the original fridge was delivered in the first place? After going back and forth he promised to call me back in 30 minutes. At the time of writing this, it's been over 3 hours since that promise, every time I call Appliance Canada and ask for that manager, he is magically busy with something. My question to Appliance Canada. Is this really the experience you want your clients to have? - Living without the fridge for almost 2 months because your sales rep sold us a non-working floor model which was 5-6 years old and did not tell us about that - Taking numerous days of work to accommodate service calls, deliveries, installers etc... (these days do cost money to working people) - Trying to arrange your subcontractors because your sales reps are only sales reps and you have no people to deal with any of that, you simply sell, outsource the rest and forget... - Finally, on the day of the delivery for the new $9000 fridge, rush out of the meeting and work and fly home because you got only 45-minute notice instead of promised delivery window couple of days in advance and then have delivery people refuse to bring the fridge in? - Talk to the manager and get blamed for not mentioning front yard stairs. Really? Don't you have that in your CRM after the first delivery? We did not even think of that. Truly poor customer service and experience, especially after living for almost 2 months without the fridge. At the time of writing this, we have no idea what is going on. We have uninstalled broken fridge at home and paid for $9000 fridge somewhere in the truck... no one is telling us what is going to happen. Extremely upsetting given our situation. Appliance Canada deserves a gold medal for dishonesty. September 2021 I ordered for about $40,000 of Thermador appliances from APPLIANCE CANADA under their program One-Two- Free. I made them write that all appliances were to be delivered brand new in the box. They delivered a hoodfan in an open box that was totally damaged. They made us wait another few weeks for what was supposed to be a new hoodfan. Second one came also damaged. Since you cant use gas cooktop without a hoodfan they agreed for me to install the one I got (it was going to be built-in so the damage is not very visible) and said they would uninstall and reinstall a new one once they receive the new one. Once they officially received a new one, they expected me to pay for the uninstall prior to them delivering the new one (which may or may not be new and may or may not be damaged third time around!) and said that basically I have nothing to complain about since the hood fan was "free" If one has to buy $40K of appliances to get a "free" hood fan, then Appliance Canada has definitely not the same definition then me of the word "free". They rejected the responsibility on Thermador, which rejected the responsibility on the store. The Thermador repairman who came to my house told me that Thermador should not be dealing with Appliance Canada since they do deliver damaged or previously sold good. I certainly can confirm that. Thermador confirmed to me that the first hoodfan I got was "sitting" for nine month in a storehouse. I hope no one will fall for one to FREE. It was our misfortune we got stuck with this store and in particular Victor and Marina. They were assigned delivery of our appliances and since then it was a challenge to get the work done. Victor is never available nor in store or emails or calls and we had to work with Marina. The first challenge was to get the appliances delivery which was a pain. First they changed the delivery date twice without informing us. They said we'll get a delivery message details with the time slot the day prior to delivery but nothing. I called the team the next day and told oh your delivery was rescheduled!!!!!!! and when it did get delivered the washer and dryer were missing. We had to again go through the hassle of dealing with appliance Canada team to set the delivery. They have no support for appliances installation and when we got the washer dryer installed it wasn't working properly. Brand new washer is not wokring and all they can say is it's a whirlpool issue and someone from thier team would help you. Never again going to appliance Canada. They've got some nice stuff in there, but the most bizarre (ie: terrible) customer service. It was pulling teeth just to get a price from the guy. All the appliances have manufacturers suggested retail price listed and that's it, and of course everyone knows that nobody pays retail price, so that was useless information. Getting communication out of the guy was nearly impossible. He seemed snobby, which is hilarious 'cause he's a retail appliance salesman. He acted like I shouldn't be asking prices. "Just pick the one you want and THEN I'll get you a price," as though price shouldn't be a important factor in my purchase decision. Even when we had it narrowed down, it was difficult to get a number from him. Ended up getting the same appliance from Costco for only $25 more. Fine by me. This was all at the Toronto store. Maybe the bigger one in Vaughan is better, I don't know. A good place to look at appliances in person, but then buy elsewhere. Oh, and don't bother trying to get someone on the phone. read more

I was referred to Appliance Canada and to Antonio by a friend who is appalled by the experience I had with them. First off, I did my homework, therefore I knew what I wanted and didn't need any explanation or information on the products so it was a very quick sale for him. From the onset, I didn't like his demeanour but ultimately I didn't care. I was there to make a purchase and leave. I waited 6 months for the last of my appliances to arrive. During this time, I didn't call, harass, pursue them etc as I knew that due to COVID, there would be delays. My fridge was delivered at 8 am on Thursday September 23rd. When it was placed in front of the opening for the fridge, we noticed it was too big for the space. I immediately reached out to my kitchen contractor who confirmed that they (kitchen place) made an error. Given what was involved and that there was a slightly smaller same fridge which would fit the space, my thought was to exchange the fridge for the smaller one than have my kitchen torn apart. What I thought would be a quick and easy exchange (I was also prepared to have to wait 3-6 months again) turned out to be anything but. I attended the store at noon of the same day. The receptionist referred me to my salesperson Antonio. I explained my situation, obviously distraught that I may have to tear parts of my new kitchen. Antonio advised that he would speak to the manager but already knew what he would say. When I questioned him, he asked me to wait there while he went to speak with the manager. Unbeknownst to me until later, he did not speak to the manager. In fact, I'm not sure where he went but one thing is for certain, he did not speak to a manager. He returned within a few minutes and advised there's nothing he can do. When I questioned it, his response was dismissive. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he wasn't going to come down. I told Antonio that I waited 6 months for this delivery and was almost certain there was a list of people still waiting who could now have the fridge. Again he dismissed me by indicating that a fridge delivered to me could not be given to someone else (nonsense). When I asked what am I to do now, he said I can put it on Kijiji. A brand new fridge, delivered 4 hours prior and I can put it on Kijiji. Does that even make sense or sound like a person who cares about his clients. I left the store as I didn't want to cause a scene and decided to call the store manager from my home. Interestingly enough, I was told 1) Antonio did not speak with him about my issue and 2) he can exchange the fridge no problem. The manager explained the difference between the 2 fridges and said I could think about it and make the best decision for me. It was clear from that conversation that Antonio LIED about speaking with the manager and he had zero interest in assisting me. His solution was to put the fridge on Kijiji. Fast forward, it's been a couple of weeks since my stove was delivered, never used and there is an issue with my oven. Again new and part of the purchase with Antonio. I tried calling on several occasions without success. After waiting on the line for 30 minutes, the call is dropped. I called and spoke with the receptionist who put me through to the Customer Service Manager Peter. Very nice man tells me he's sorry I haven't been able to get through blah blah blah. Tells me to take a picture of the serial number and send it to his email and he would place a service call and get back to me. Two days later, I'm still waiting for his response despite a follow up email asking for an update and a service call. I wish I had read the reviews prior to my purchase and would recommend you stay as far away as possible from this store. So there is nothing wrong with the customer service, when it comes to purchasing any sort of large ticket Appliances. They have a ton of options and a HUGE clearance section, so if you have an eye on something specific, you should definitely check out the back section. However the catch with Clearance items, is that you need to schedule delivery within a 30 day time frame. We came here a few times to shop around and we ended up buying 5 appliances from Appliance Canada. Overall, I would say come prepared to negotiate and take advantage of some of their deals. If you are looking for a hood range, I would say unless it is a really a super good deal, you should check out elsewhere for that particular pieces. The trouble came with their contracted weekend delivery schedules. They called us and told us that our order would be delievered to our house between 8 am and 11 am on a Saturday, we were ok, no problem, just call us a half hour beforehand, so we can make sure we are on hand for delivery. I will spare the whole sob story, but the short of it, is that my entire day was ruined because they didn't show up until 4 hours after the scheduled window. This was after we called multiple times, asking them where they were and when should they be expected. I did eventually speak to a manager to complain, but realistically, I understand there is only so much they can do. But I would highly suggest that they schedule deliveries with a Google map tool or something to make these deliveries a heck of a lot easier for these drivers, so that they aren't criss-crossing the GTA making deliveries. I would say if you have to schedule your appliance delivery, I would recommend that you don't accept delivery on a weekend, but on a weekday since apparently their weekday company is punctual and on time. He took the time to determine which items would be most appropriate for our needs and we very much appreciated his level of customer care and will seek him out when additional requirements arise. Horrible service from their sales team. Despite buying numerous expensive items from them I received repeated poor response times, and flippant emails. They blame the manufacturers for delays but make no effort to keep you informed. Will go out of my way to avoid them at all cost. read more

I bought all of my appliances for my custom kitchen from Appliance Canada in advance since I needed specs for my kitchen supplier. This was ordered in Sept. 2020. Delivery date was to be Feb. 2021. In Jan 2021 I was told that I needed to pay for my whole order in full to be in the queue. My partial delivery arrived in March of 2021 except for our Whirlpool fridge. Apparently due to Covid there has been a shortage of parts from the US factory. I was promised by customer service that I was to get delivery of a fridge from their next Whirlpool order delivery in April. That never happened and I had to call customer service again since my sales rep Ali said he doesn't handle delivery dates. Customer service promised a delivery of my fridge every month from March 2021 until Oct. 2021. At this point I was rather impatient and upset that I was without a fridge for over 6 months. My sales rep Ali never called me to see if I would like to buy a different model since there is no stock on my Whirlpool. A refund was processed and a new $2700 LG fridge was purchased from another store Canadian Appliance Source the next day and I received delivery the following day. Obviously it was a mistake to buy my appliances from Appliance Canada. The other company indicated that they did get some stock of the Whirlpool I previously ordered. Don't know what happened with the Appliance Canada order from a year ago? I guess my prepaid order was not good enough to put me in the front of the line with Appliance Canada. They don't need the business since my sales rep Ali never called to see if I would like to buy any other brand due to the Whirlpool shortage. It is the worst customer service I have dealt with. Order placed one year in advance. Had to chase customer service to get ETA on my order that I was required to pay in full. Never heard from my sales rep Ali after they got my money in full. I don't recommend buying from this company. They are not customer oriented and once they have your money they don't care! Got conned into paying in advance using Covid 19 as the excuse. read more

I had a very pleasant experience with this store. Our washer broke on Wed, and we urgently needed to find a replacement. We found a very nice Whirlpool front load at a very reasonable price (we couldn't find cheaper anywhere else). The sales person Fawad was very polite and professional, despite my endless questions, some of which may not make any sense to him. He was very helpful, gave us all information, but didn't push us to make a decision. All stuff was very friendly and helpful, they were able to schedule delivery for Saturday. Today our washer was delivered on time, and again - very professional and polite service. Recommend this store - big selection and very decent prices. read more

Appliance Canada refused to honour their price drop refund policy. Their price dropped from the date of sale and before delivery. Called them before I took delivery of two appliances. They did not return my call. When I called them a second time the day after delivery the salesman began playing games with me to get out of crediting my purchase. Said it was too late. They also damaged my frontdoor during delivery. I was going to let that ride....but not now! read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not get anything from this company. The worst and frustrating experience ever, i gave 1 start just to make sure other potential customers read this. You go for the price and finished paying for delivery, installation, taking your old stuff, second delivery, after all that you will be paying more than other decent companies. read more

I don't think I would ever buy anything from here again. They take your money and don't guarantee ETAs. When you buy from them they don't refund your money and take 20% without telling you about deposit fee. Definitely look for the model number and go to HOME DEPOT because they will give you price match and also take another 10% off and tell you ETA on the spot.... also customer service here isn't that great, they act like they don't need you and expect you to know all about ur appliances and when you ask for info they act like you should know your sh*t. It has been my observation that customers only write reviews when they are extremely happy or extremely disappointed. That is why I have been delaying the submission of my review. I wanted to give Appliance Canada every opportunity to make things right. This, unfortunately, has not transpired. To summarize, we ordered an appliance suite from the London show room on July 16, 2020. In light of the pandemic, we felt it best to be extremely proactive and order our appliances well in advance of when we would need them. Our sales person, Ruby Chan, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She requested all items for a February 1, 2021 delivery. In January, we received a telephone call from the delivery department to arrange delivery of our Bertazzoni range and Fisher Paykel refrigerator the following week. We advised them that we were not quite ready for those items as renovations were taking a little longer than anticipated. We were assured that was not a problem and delivery was arranged for April 5, 2021. When I contacted Ms. Chan in March to confirm delivery, she advised me that my refrigerator was not in. Needless to say this was not correct information, as the company tried to deliver the items to me in January. What has transpired since, has been exceptionally disappointing. All calls and emails to the London show room have been left unanswered. I finally had to contact the national customer service department because no one would provide us with an explanation. Our sales liaison, Asad Khan, assured us by email that we would receive our items on April 5. The refrigerator never arrived. Despite multiple calls and emails, we still have no firm explanation as to what happened to our refrigerator, nor have we been provided with a firm delivery date. We can only make the assumption that it was sold to someone else. In a recent conversation with a customer service manager, Samira Sermez, I was advised to "Stop getting so stressed. Life is short. You have your health". Considering this woman knows nothing about my stress level or my health status, I found this extremely condescending and inappropriate. In complete frustration, we contacted Fisher Paykel directly. I saved the transcripts of those conversations. We were advised by FP that we would need a purchase order number. With that number they would be able to find out what happened to our refrigerator. I expressed skepticism, based on my conversations with Appliance Canada, that they would provide me with this number. I was advised but FP that if this occurred we should "request a refund and take our money elsewhere" in addition to "seeking legal advice". I was also advised by FP that our particular refrigerator usually takes "between two and three months if in back order" and that they "have not heard yet of one taking 10 months to arrive". As expected, despite requests to customer service, Mr. Khan, Ms. Chan, and a purchasing representative, Robbie, Appliance Canada has refused to provide me/Fisher Paykel with my purchase order number. Initially Mr. Khan stated "I have no issue providing you this information", however one day later he changed his tune and stated "I am waiting for my purchasing department to allow me to share this information with you". So nearly 10 months later we still do not have a refrigerator. We do have a beautiful custom kitchen with a big hole awaiting our panel ready refrigerator. We cannot express strongly enough how disappointed we are. We are educated consumers that refuse to allow Appliance Canada to hide behind Covid. Our trust and faith in this company has been completely eroded. Unfortunately, we may have to follow the advice of Fisher Paykel and cut our losses and seek legal advice. In the meantime, we contacted multiple competitors yesterday. One competitor actually had the refrigerator in stock, however it was on order for another customer. All competitors advised us that the leadtime for this particular refrigerator is eight weeks (10 weeks maximum). Two competitors even contacted Fisher Paykel and were advised the very same thing. As an aside, we have asked Mr Khan repeatedly to send us invoices for all of the items that have been shipped to us. We have absolutely nothing. No proof of purchase. And, we paid for extended warranty on everything so we want this for our records. We still have received nothing. UPDATE: Since this review, we have been provided with two delivery dates. May 15 and then May 20. Despite repeated requests, the purchase order number has still not been provided. I advised Ms. Sermez that I wanted to have legal counsel forward a request for this information. She as advised me that correspondence could be sent to herself and Mr. Khan. Requests for the names of more senior management have gone unanswered. Shortly after this request, I received an additional email stating that my refrigerator had magically appeared and would be delivered next week. I am skeptical. read more
