As someone who has dedicated over 2 decades working in healthcare for the front, back, lab, and manager, I have found that the office's communication skills are severely lacking. During my very first call to schedule oral surgery, I provided X-rays, estimates, and a referral from a denturist for what was needed. I was placed on hold multiple times for extended periods. Eventually, I was told they could assist with the oral surgery, but I drove six hours round-trip only to be informed they couldn't help me. I made several subsequent calls, explaining that less work was needed because my implant capping could be completed before the oral surgery, which involved tooth extractions and bilateral outer upper and lower tori removal. This work is necessary to fit my temporary dentures. If I had been told from the start that they couldn't perform the oral surgery, I would have saved the $3,000 I charged to my credit card for my temporary dentures to be installed after the surgery they claimed they could do. I strongly believe that if they cannot perform oral surgery, it should not be listed as a service they provide. My 1-star is extremely generous considering the circumstances they put me in. read more

Having my braces on was not a problem at all. Make sure the billing is correct and your insurance is in network. I called a week before my appointment to verify if they took Aetna insurance. The person on the phone said that they did. The day of the appointment when I came in the receptionist said that they did not take my insurance and then after a 10 to 15 minute phone call inquire said that yes they did. That appointment was covered and then a week later I had to get a feeling fixed and then when I came in they said that my insurance was not valid here. 2 more appointments for my braces and I'm looking elsewhere for a dentist. read more

Almost everyone was super nice. All it took was one aggressive tech to ruin it for me. At my request, they gave me an anti anxiety medication that I had to show up an hour before my appointment and take in the clinic. I brought something to do, so I all was good. I had been there 15 minutes and they called me back. the medication was just barely starting to take effect. The tech that numbed my mouth was horrible. She administered the Novocain way way too fast. I could feel the tissue being ripped. My father was a dentist, and I worked for him over the summer several times, and while I never administered any medications, he always explained what he was doing as he did it. you HAVE to go slowly or you damage the soft tissue. read more

dentures here are terrible as is the turn around time for an appointment, I have had my dentures break in half 2 times now and they were both their fault because they did not check my bite And rushed me out of the office each time. They do great with children but that is it. read more

They pulled 27 teeth in less then 30 minutes. Let the patient go with blood all over his face, shirt and hands. While pulling these teeth they poke a hole into his sinus, causing nose bleeding. I have never seen a person leave an oral surgery business looking like this! The after care is zero, dentures never fit, could never get in to have adjustment. Never met their part of a verbal agreement, no written agreement as far as I know. Please don't make the same mistake as I did! Stay away from Applevalley dental. We paid almost 11k and now no one is willing to help fix their mistake for any amount of money. If I could give them a no star review I would! read more

Did an awesome quick job on my most dreaded experience... The surgeon actually took time and consideration to listen to me (the patient... how about that?) when I was warning that I cannot handle epinephrine, which is standard typically in their serum. He used a different compound altogether just for me, and it was a good thing too! He pulled out 4 of my broken teeth with precision and speed. For this, I thank him absolutely hands down 100%! My only complaint is that on the two occasions I have gone to their locations, they've somehow managed to mistakingly send my prescriptions to Walgreens, which does not accept my insurance, but in another separate review on them, I explained their absolute responsibility for knowingly filling that script to no one essentially and dangling it in front of my face! But back to these guys. Beautiful atmosphere in the waiting room, and despite some confusion during scheduling, these guys did a pro job, unlike a privately paid dentist on the South Hill that simply shattered my teeth, charged a phenomenal amount, then accused me of being on drugs because I cannot handle epinephrine, again. That was "Comprehensive Dental". Stay away from them at all costs (literally costs). Regardless of what people might say on here I know these guys here tried and did successfully do a good job. Btw.. I have an extreme phobia of needles, so I'm not saying this was easy, but the surgeon here I trusted and he didn't have to do any repokes nor did he make any mistakes. Appointment was at 0800. Got there 0745 with my daughter. We did not see the dentist until 0845. The appointment lasted 5 min for a consultation. This is absolutely ridiculous. The receptionist was rude and stated they were under staff. Well, everyone is understaffed. Work on customer service and keeping on time. People have to work to make a living.​ read more

A female employee (perhaps receptionist?) here needs to learn how to treat other businesses who she attempts to order lunch from with respect. Being rude or acting entitled and hanging up because she has called the wrong location to deliver to her is not how any known employee of a business should treat anyone. It was uncalled for and makes me want to discourage anyone from even dealing with this place to refrain from having to encounter such employee and her disgusting attitude. read more

My 15 year old son had oral surgery to remove his wisdom teeth. One of them was difficult to remove. They gave him 6 pain pills and prescribed it as 1 every 4-6 hours. He did really well spacing them out. He is on day 3 and is in severe pain and only has 1 left. I called to see about him coming in to be checked and get more meds. I was told no and that he needs to take ibuprofen. I have never been so dissatisfied with care for my child. Now I am forced to take him to the ER to get his incisions checked for dry socket and for pain control. Do not go here!! read more

PARENTS BEWARE: Let me start by saying these guys are so unorganized I had to re-fill out my sons paperwork when I came in for his appointment the next morning! Here's the real issue I have with this dentist: I brought my 5 year old in for his checkup; he loved the play area in the lobby so much for the next week he kept asking to go back, that is not the issue, during our session with the dentist I guess I was too honest and forthcoming with information and my opinions when it comes to my sons health as he too wanted to put him under anesthesia to fix two small cavities in his back molars. I expressed that I thought the risk outweighed the benefit. Only later after being bullied into making the appointment to have the problem fixed did I learn that our file had been "flagged" and if we were to miss or cancel the upcoming appointment, child protective services would be immediately notified!!! I, being a decent parent took my kid to the dentist only to have said dentist threaten us with calling CPS for 'neglect', I was dumbfounded and reasonably enough, angry; there is a boy in my sons class who's 4 front teeth are rotted out yet I'm going to have to deal with the threat of losing my child because I actually took him to the dentist!?!? What kind of world are we living in where a loving parent should have to worry about such things!?!? After his next appointment which I've been forced into, we will NEVER go back here again no matter how close they are to my apartment. read more

The dentist was abrasive and mean. When I spoke of my comfort level, he told me I could just go somewhere else. They treat you like a poor fool because they know you wouldn't be there for dentistry if you had another choice. Avoid it at all costs. Pay extra to go somewhere else. 10 thumbs down. read more

Im from Oregon, and have never been to a dental office in Spokane. But I can safely say that this is probably one of the worst clinics in Spokane. It looks really fancy on the inside, but the service is horrible. I don't even know where to begin. First, I went in expecting a teeth cleaning with fluoride, it was even on the list they gave me (services you're receiving today). However, they had to reschedule me for another day to actually clean my teeth because they "didn't have time" during my own appointment. Like WHAT? I have no idea what they are billing my insurance for, because they did not perform the services I expected (which was written so clearly on the list). Literally all they did was brush my teeth, and take some X-Rays WITHOUT giving me a lead vest. The technician was also obviously untrained, unknowledgeable, and very unintelligent. When she took my X-Ray, she did not give me a lead vest. When I asked her about it later, it was obvious that she KNEW she was supposed to, but didn't out of sheer laziness. I TRUSTED this person with my health. Thats what's so frustrating. The dentist seemed really professional and competent, but really busy. It's like the company tried to compensate his workload with a bunch of incompetent, untrained, unprofessional, lazy people. During my visit, he was examining something one of the technicians prepared and said word for word "this is totally unacceptable". I'm going to go back to actually get my teeth cleaned, since that's what they're billing for, but never going back to this place again. I'm actually even wondering if it's possible to sue. read more
