I'd give Curtis Orthodontics 2 stars…read more On the positive side, the energy in the office is great and they do an excellent job making kids feel comfortable--mine actually enjoy going, which says a lot. That said, the biggest issue is availability. It feels like the focus is more on bringing patients in than actually accommodating them once they're clients. There's very little flexibility with scheduling, and getting an appointment after school (3-5 PM) is nearly impossible. Missing school regularly just isn't a realistic option for most families. If they could improve access and scheduling flexibility, this would be a much stronger experience overall.

Through the course of my life, I have employed four different orthodontists to straighten and…read morerestraighten my teeth. I finally learned that the clue to success is actually wearing the retainers (duh). Having returned to the CDA area, I selected Curtis Orthodontics because of their proximity and Yelp reviews. WOW was I surprised. What a gorgeous, light, airy, attractive facility! All the workers and all the patients exiting and waiting seemed very upbeat. I had booked the appointment for a tech to make a new mold to replace my broken retainer. Unexpectedly, Dr Curtis cheerfully involved himself in the process and offered two completely different approaches to my retainer. I left with a repaired retainer and an insurmountable feeling of bliss and gratitude. If you are in need of an orthodontist, please stop in and check out Curtis Orthodontics.

The young girls working there are not qualified and deny being trained for that machine. Each of them said "It never works". Both my son and I did not get our completion of therapy. We were supposed to get our pictures of before and after our treatment to see if we were satisfied with the results. Jill the office manager is hostile and bullied my son and I. It was very uncomfortable to come there. Dr Chaffee hires very young inexperienced girls to work for him so he doesn't have to pay them very much. We paid for QUALIFIED orthodontic techs. Many times we left with broken brackets and needed to return again to have them replaced. Very incompetent staff. I've brought our concerns to Dr Chaffee many times. He sent us a letter saying we were no longer welcome in his office breaching our contract. I do not have a proper fitting retainer and the result of that are really spaced out front teeth worse than I started with. My son did not get a proper fitting retainer either. I had to pay our dentist $150 for his retainer. I'm paying over $850 to get composites to fill in the gaps that were created from not having a retainer. I want a refund for our braces or retainers from another facility.

After having another dentist recommend crowns on two teeth that weren't bothering me, I made an appointment at Generations Dental. The office staff was organized and helpful both before and during my visit. The dental team was friendly, gentle and understanding. Dr. Rader took time to chat before looking at my teeth, had already looked at the x-rays before coming in the room, and thoroughly explained what he was concerned with. I knew I'd made the right decision when he suggested replacing a disintegrating filling, but made no recommendation for crowns.

His staff is awesome - super responsive and their text reminder platform is easy and non-invasive (there is an actual person on the back end). He explained everything to me during the exam - which I really appreciated - and I was able to get a cleaning and cavity filled within a week. During my 20+ years in the Navy, I would have given anything to have Dr. Rader - who is a National Guard dentist and Active Duty Army Vet as my dentist!

For all the rest of the work needing to be done he gave me a referral to an oral surgeon and another referral to a Denture Clinic. I did some research on the places i was referred to and I did not feel comfortable going to the oral surgeon based on the negative reviews about that business. So when I contacted Dr mosby's office again to let them know that I was going to be seeing a different oral surgeon but I would like to still see Dr Mosby for the part that he said he was going to do, the office lady told me i couldn't be seen there because they didn't have time for me now. She told me they hadn't had a vacation for years and they all wanted to go on vacation. So I guess if you want to make your own decisions and find a different person that you didn't get referred to then they will make up excuses and just drop you and leave you hanging. I guess its good i saw their true colors now rather than later.

I couldn't even imagine if my son had actually had any work done, and they turned around and tried to charge us 1,000% more than they initially told me. I called their customer service number like they requested, but they just sent the complaint to the office manager of the local office and said she would call me back. The problem is that the office manager hasn't been the one to call me back, despite 5 weeks of call back requests. We'll see. Regardless, I will be finding another dental office.
