I went into get a refill for my prescription and he barely made eye contact and stared at the computer for 5 minutes. After typing up the prescription, the doctor mumbled "Here" as he handed over the prescription paper. He was very rude and careless. All he cares about is seeing as many patients as possible. He makes patients feel uncomfortable and doesn't know how to interact with them. It also doesn't help that when you google this doctor's name, you see that he's actually suspended in the U.K. Avoid at all cost!

I left after the service. Few days later I realized I did not have my OHIP card which I needed very bad due to the circumstances surrounding around my blood work. I called their office. The main line goes to the Head Office and they do not transfer because again the clinic is very busy. I walked in during my lunch and I was told there is no card because (she looked one drawer)...there is no where to keep it and I was told if found they usually call. I was pissed off because I need the card for a lot of follow up tests in the hospital. and also I really do not understand why they need to take the card. They can just make sure the name on the card is same as the name on the requisition. They take the card and by the time you are done with the service and leaving, there is usually bunch of people trying to sign in so you wait again to retrieve the card. It is the most disorganized lab. I would never take my business there again. Now I am forced to apply for the OHIP. And this will impact greatly of my follow ups...

It was my first time at this LifeLabs location. There is plenty of onsite parking that is free, which is a nice change from some of the other LifeLabs locations in the west Toronto area. The LifeLabs is located in the basement. There are elevators for people with mobility issues, or you can use a short flight of stairs. The receptionists were efficient at checking people in. They have a board showing wait times and whether people have pre-booked appointments. When I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, the wait time was 14 minutes. There is a small waiting room within the office, and a handful chairs outside in the hallway. I can see how it would get crowded very fast. The cubicles are pretty open and people in the waiting area can definitely see into them, so keep that in mind. I was called quickly and the person taking my blood was quick at her job. I was in and out in a few minutes.

In the last few months (unfortunately) I've had to to several tests and can say I've got to know the staff more than the average Joe. They take care of you here, not the "in-your-face" kind of help you get from a salesperson at you clothing store. But they try to make the needle process as painless as possible. And this is what makes me happy here, they're not rushing. I've found out the best time to go is 4-5pm as most people try to go early in the morning as some tests require fasting.

I have called multiple times for an appointment and she is either away or fully booked. For this appointment I arrived 12 minutes late, and was told by the office General Manger -Gary-the doctor refused to see me because there was "no time between appointments" -- not even enough time to step in and say hello. As I stood there, still in the office, they promptly e-mailed me a $40 missed appointment fee notice -- while making no effort to offer support, reschedule, or show any understanding of the situation. I had clearly gone out of my way to be there, doing my absolute best under difficult circumstances -- and was treated like an inconvenience instead of a patient. Policies are understandable, but enforcing them with zero flexibility or compassion -- especially in healthcare -- is unacceptable. New mothers, or any patients, deserve better than cold bureaucracy and a complete lack of empathy. What's even more disappointing is knowing that my doctor supports this policy. I expected more understanding and care from someone I trusted with my health. Sadly, this experience has made it clear that this is not a practice I can continue with -- I'll be finding a new doctor who values patient care over rigid scheduling. This was more than just a frustrating experience -- it was demoralizing. I sincerely hope this office and it's doctors reconsiders how it treats people, because no one deserves to be dismissed like this after making such an effort to prioritize their health and their child.

I used to work for a family doctor and I know it took the whole team to make all this happen. I think I spoke to Dr. Clement daily for three weeks straight. I'm so thankful to have this medical team supporting me.
