I've sent my résumé to them several times since the beginning of the year and have followed up, but I've never received a call back. They don't even follow up or let you know they received your resume. Unfortunately, the experience hasn't been positive--communication has been poor, and even the front desk staff lacks professionalism and basic office etiquette. It's disappointing, especially since I had a good experience with AppleOne years ago. Sadly, it seems like the quality of their service has really declined over time. 5 years ago I first had the pleasure to meet Jill, a recruiter in the City of Industry/Rowland Heights branch. She was very nice and helpful in trying to place me in the right job/career. However due to certain timing issues, I started working for various companies that were already referred to me from friends & family instead. Honestly probably the worst company I've ever worked for & this is why (based of off my experience) My Representative kim & the office in upland CA take days sometimes weeks to respond back to you about any issues you are having. Either minor or serious. The pay card (which they say is the best "alternative" way in getting paid) is exhausting to deal with, only being able to go to ATM's that accept it, transferring money from that card to your bank account is a hassle & even dealing the money card app is frustrating to say the least. They offer benefits but it's stupidly expensive. If you leave the company they won't pay off vacation or sick days. Some people wouldn't mind this bs but after 8 months of dealing with it I'm glad my assignment with Apple one was finished. You have been warned. read more

Kevin, Becky, and Chrissy are all very responsive and were helpful in finding me jobs that were directly aligned with what I was seeking as far as job roles and compensation. Many years ago I had a not so great experience with AppleOne (at another location) and so I was initially a little hesitant to use AppleOne again but I did and was absolutely amazed with the whole entire team. They made sure to only direct me to potential job opportunities that matched up to what I was seeking (which was really important to me because it saved me very valuable time and I'm sure saved the employers lots of time as well). It's hard trying to find a new job but especially even more so when you're working almost ~60 hours each week like I am and during Covid too when unemployment rates are at an all time high. She hooked me up with the job at Sierra Aluminum . The add didn't lie tons of overtime got my A.M shift and after 6 months the company hired me in I am so blessed to have this job paid weekly benefits 401 k and much more. I believe that these reviews should speak truth and after dealing with this company I can say that I was beyond disappointed in the communication they have with the people who are applying. Okay so beware of the 45 disclosures you have to sign and questions you have to answer. When I signed up online I didn't see all these additional forms to sign. One, I won't sign disclosures online not knowing what kind of establishment this truly is; second when I spoke to Ahmed the rep to let him know I was running behind and if I can be there at 3:30 pm he said sure. At no point in this conversation did he say my application was incomplete and they would just reschedule me. I left my family to be there at 3:30 pm and at 4:40 a lady named Chrissy came and shook my hand to tell me they're closed and I need to come back since I took long signing the 20 plus forms. The computer kept freezing and I needed to refresh a lot. I'm sorry but I rather go on Indeed and look for my own jobs. This was extremely unprofessional and badly scheduled. Apple-one has been my savior in so many ways. Melissa Lira was the representative for me. She asked all the questions about what I was looking for. What were my needs. She helped prep me for interviews as in support . She made sure I had all information needed. Always returned phone calls and emails. Kept very well updated. Once I was placed she called and followed up to make sure I was happy and to let me know I was a rock star. Why is this all so important? Because when you get laid off unexpectedly, you freak. For me my Apple one experience has been amazing and I will always recommend family, friends or even strangers to Apple one and ask for Melissa Lira... she will take care if you and get you were you need to be. The team at AppleOne Employment Services in Upland, California lacks positive communication. The service posted jobs in, which I applied for consistently for three weeks. No calls. I went to the services website and completed the application, survey, and submitted my resume. No call. Finally, I decided to visit the service at their new location (the location listed at the address above). Greeted the receptionist and explained the reason for my visit. She was very reluctant to key - into the database and check for receipt of my resume and application. However, she was quick to inform me to email my resume. As doing so, the receptionist provided me with a business card, and stated," Once the resume is received, I will receive a call from one the team members within three to five business days". No call or email response received. Today, I called the service, and was told a business meeting was taking place; to call back after 10:00am. I did. I reached another individual who proceeded not to ask my name, or check the database, but to ask me about my work experience. After providing the person with some brief information, I was told I was being referred to Adecco and Kelly Services. I asked why? The response, "You have to have six months of recent administrative experience for our company". Please note I am not listing my educational levels and experiences in business or academia because they are not the focus of this review. The individual's response could have been given to me through an email, when I applied, a phone call, or advised when I visited the office. As stated by other people who have had interactions with this branch and their company in general, if I could give negative stars, I would wholeheartedly do so. A person from the Upland branch solicited me, (I did not call them), and she told me that she found my resume online, that my resume was good and that my experience with Excel is what they were looking for and that she wanted me to come in and interview for the position and even told me the pay rate. She asked if she could email me a link to take some assessment tests, and in particular she was interested in my Excel score. So I said, sure no problem. I took all 5 tests within an hour and tested with a 100% for Excel, none wrong. Something to note is that after this initial contact, no one ever called me back. I had to call them back. I made a total of 4 phone calls over a 2 week period and no one knew anything about me!! On one of the phone calls, the girl again knew nothing and told me that since I didn't have a name, (the first girl never game me her name), that she'd have to email the entire office, so I said that was fine. STILL no one called me back. I called back today and spoke with the manager of the branch and he offered no help, only apologies and restated that without a name no one could help me! He didnt even offer to help me or look up the Admin Assistant position and offer to have me come in for an interview after all that!! Neither did he offer to look up my resume or test scores that were off the charts for everything that they gave me. Their "system", if you can call it that, is archaic, does not work, and not helpful to those seeking employment. Additionally, something that I don't understand is WHY in the heck do I need the person's name for them to assist me??? Doesn't their computer system make a notation when a person from their staff emails you a link to assessment tests? Who I spoke to on the phone is really irrelevant and I am IN their system. All they had to do was LOOK ME UP. I'm NEVER doing business with them again. The reason they said that was to cover up the fact that they screwed up royally. Totally UNprofessional. These people will waste your time and frustrate you to the core. Don't bother using them. Time is precious and they will waste every bit of it that you have. * they are extremely unprofessional * they are horrible at communication * they are disorganized * hire unqualified people who trained as a receptionist and then got promoted to account rep to handle their candidates, who probably have more education and experience than their "so-called" account reps themselves! *they make the candidates jump through tons of hoops, fill out a bunch of paperwork and then still don't help you. (the few people who do get jobs with them are exceptions to the rule. * the managers are condescending and offer no assistance. One star: it's true. Take a look at the reviews for their other locations throughout the LA area and you'll see why. Basically, I called and asked what their procedure was. They had me email them my resume and wait. I called after a few days to schedule an appointment, and they said they never received my resume. So I sent it again, despite them refusing to give me a direct email address, instead of the general Montclair@blabla. Called again after a few days, and their answer was "Well we're very busy these days! Besides, jobs are few and far between." Let me clarify this, folks. If your job is to find people jobs, and someone asks you a simple question about what you're supposed to do 40 hours/week, don't become reactive. It's only natural that we'd ask this question. It's like walking into a bakery and asking for a cake recommendation. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's been four weeks and they still haven't agreed to an in-person interview. I am a graduate of a four-year university with two degrees and an average typing speed of 90 wpm. Why they refuse to meet is beyond me. read more

Disappointed with them. They're not much help. First of all, they misled me. A gentleman from this agency called me to say he saw my resume on Career Builder and he has a position that fit my experience. So I set up an appointment with him. Got there, and the gentleman was not in the office. Normally I prefer not to work with staffing agencies, but I had been out of work for a while, so I agreed to interview with another lady. I took a bunch of test and filled out a profile. Gave the lady my resume, told her of my conversation with the other gentleman who called. The job that guy supposedly called me about was never discussed. I told the lady I'd like to concentrate my time on jobs that have the possibility of permanent long-term employment. For the next week the lady called me on a few very short-term work. One time she even got a little testy with me when she called me for a 3-day job and I told her I can't take it because I have a job interview the next day. She told me I wasn't helping. I told her I wasn't going to risk missing out on a permanent opportunity for a 3-day stint. She never called me back after that. Fortunately for me I went on that interview and ended up getting the job. In general I haven't found staffing agencies to be a reliable help when looking for a steady job, this one certainly wasn't. read more

I've registered with 3 of their offices, including this one. All have been completely useless and very unprofessional. Each time I've had to come in and take a bunch of pointless assessments and meet with an inept representative. I have a bachelor's degree and plenty of experience, and not only did they never contact me for any jobs, they never replied to my emails. I even applied on my own to many of the positions on their website (which is not user friendly and out of date) and I never heard from anybody. The whole process has been a complete waste of time. After completing the application and an aptitude test, it was revealed that there was no actual position. They were instead developing a candidate list for potential openings. They offered a free workshop. It touched on how to craft your persona into someone who is relevant to an employer's needs, and how to differentiate yourself in a positive way from other applicants. It could benefit those who are uncertain about how to craft a resume specific to a prospective employer or how to present yourself during an interview. I applied with them about three weeks ago. So far, one short assignment but zero interviews. To be fair, I haven't investigated ways to goad them into to more action, but I suspect that they are there. To their credit, they do seem genuinely interested in matching employers and job seekers. Each and every contact with them has been unfailingly upbeat and professional, with touches of personalization that seem neither contrived or forced. So far I consider them as one more arrow in the quiver of my job hunt arsenal, but not the end-all. read more

I met with her in March and she was very understanding where I was coming from and what I was looking for. I was already employed but wanted to see what else was out there. Marisa is very friendly, easy to get along with, and very understanding. I say this because she did find a job for me within 2 weeks but I didn't want to meet with them at the time. She also worked with other people at Apple one and found me a position where I got an offer I could not refuse. I thank Marisa and Apple one for my new position. I have had a pleasant experience with this office, when they were in Montclair and their recent relocation to the city of Upland. I have been placed on three assignments from this group of executives and I can honestly say that I appreciated their assistance in staffing me in those respective positions. The Branch Manager, Cole Beebe, has been amazing to work with and is very direct in his communication with clients and staff alike. My experience with the respective Account Executives has been great and have not had to follow up numerous times concerning projects or tasks that were to be completed. Depending on the hiring dynamics of the businesses that they work with, placement can range from immediate to within a moderate time frame. If there are no assignments available, they cannot place you. If they have positions available but the businesses are looking for specific credentials or experience, they will place those candidates who meet closely to those standards. It can be a hardship to candidates that are looking for immediate employment but everyone must understand that they can only staff people when there is open availability. The staff will do whatever they can to assist candidates and some make it a responsibility to have regular communication with the candidates. I cannot say that they are perfect but I can say that they work as diligent as possible to assist any and all candidates that they have. If I were not working in my current profession, I would be in touch with Cole or his respective office staff. Yazmin and Jolene are dynamic women and Becky is a joy to speak with anytime you call in. I was assigned to an agent here then contacted by a different one at this same location after they pulled my information from MONSTER.com instead of the APPLE ONE DATA BASE I was already in and once I said I was signed up already with apple one and a different agreement I got the run around and never heard back. I find that highly suspicious and disappointing as a job seeker applying through apple one. I would give them 0 stars if I could and would advise others to seek help elsewhere if you're looking for a job that is worth anything and people who are actually willing to help you. read more

I've dealt with a lot of employment agencies, including other AppleOne branches, and this office is by far one of the best. Everyone I ever spoke to here was very interested in helping me. My rep, Marisa, conducted a very thorough and comprehensive interview and she got to know my preferences well. She was clear about what she expected from me in terms of how often I should check in with her. Within about three weeks she set me up with an interview at a job I had doubts about--but she was absolutely right. I loved the people and the vibe at that company. Although I decided to take a job at a different company, if I'm ever job-hunting again, Marisa will be the first recruiter I'm going to contact. read more

Recently, I registered at Apple One in Upland, CA after seeing a job posting on an independent Sales job board. From the moment I contacted a recruiter, I've been treated with nothing short of professionalism, courtesy, and kindness. I've worked for other temporary/employment agencies in the past, and I have a lot of experience with them. Apple One is one of the best I've encountered in quite some time. My assigned recruiter returns my phone calls (and emails) in a timely manner, he's always helpful, he displays a caring attitude, and I believe that he genuinely wants to help me secure a new job. Contrary to all of the negative reviews about Apple One, my experience thus far has been a very pleasant one. ...And the resume and interview workshop that I attended helped make my job search more productive. Having read numerous articles and books on resume writing and interviewing, I didn't think there would be much to gain by attending yet another job seminar. However, my assumptions were wrong and I'm glad that I attended. Searching for employment in such an unsettled economy warrants continuous education about what hiring managers are seeking regardless of how much you think you already know. Such a waste of time....People really need jobs and they had me drive up and interview with one coordinator. She assured me she had 2 or 3 assignments that I immediately fit. I heard nothing for 2 weeks and called her back repeatedly for days and finally got a hold of her to be told she needed a 4th reference not the 3 she told me. So I emailed a 4th to her and then nothing. A week later I get a call from a different coordinator telling me to completely re-do my resume from the ground up and then resubmit it to her and she'll look at it and call my references again and see what happens. Such a waste of time and no follow up. The only response after 3 weeks should not be from a strange person at their office telling you to re-do the resume that was already approved and submitted. And I still have no job prospects through them and have not been talked to about any positions read more

What a waste of time! ... I was reeled in on an advertisement on Craigslist for a particular position. The number to call led to a lady, Mary, who was trying to fill this position. I spoke about my employment history and everything she needed to know and at the end of our call she stated that so long as I finished their application and took some tests we would have a scheduled interview and afterward she would explain to me what job offers they had for me. The application and tests were very lengthy but I did them because I thought for sure if I did them I would have another job. When I arrived at the time of my appt. I was then instructed to take more tests which took several more hours. The interview didnt discuss anything I hadnt already made clear in my application and over the phone which was that I was only going to settle for a permanent position. But instead during the interview she was trying to persuade me into working in a temporary position which wasnt even mentioned in the original ad for the job in craigslist. I felt very dissapointed because if she had been upfront before about the job being advertised I wouldnt have gone there in the first place. It was a huge waste of time. read more

Came in with high hopes. Always heard that this company was great for finding a job. Especially if you have a good work history and background. But it was def a negative experience for me. I went in and filled out a application, did the necessary computer work that it needed. I provided my info and I met with my representative. She was very nice, outgoing. Made me feel comfortable. Explained that with my background I should qualify for jobs in which they fill. After the first two months , I finally gave up. She never called me for a single position. Usually responded to my voicemails or emails days later. Or when I constantly would call and leave messages and bug her. I wanted her to know I wanted work and I was available. I will give you my opinion. They randomly choose the rep who is going to hire you without any type of knowledge of what your background is. I was stuck with her and her horrible service. I don't know if all the reps there are filling the same positions. But if they aren't. And each one is is assigned to their own contracts. It would make sense to choose who is best after they know your background. I was a long term manager. Had banking. Customer service. Lead. And leasing experience. And again. Never got a single call for a single position. I don't know what else they would want. She even told me that my references gave amazing reviews of my work. I'm not sure what you have to do to get a job from here. Maybe be family or know them personally. But for me , and my very strong background. I guess that wasn't enough. read more

Call back, can't find resume, schedule another time next day, she still cant find resume but promises to email me jobs. Gave her my email again. No email. Got her email from receptionist and emailed my resume again. Heard nothing. Contacted Cole, manager. Promises to find out what is happening. That was a week ago. I guess if the worker does not have the position for you on their screen when they call, you will never ever ever ever ever hear from them again. I have a B.A. and a decade of experience in my field. After filling out my E-File application online, I made an appt. to go in to the Apple One office and talk to someone in person. When I got there, the receptionist set me up with Lashonda Brown. "Shonda" took me into a small meeting room where we sat and chatted. She wrote down notes and actually asked me some great questions regarding my preferences and ultimate goals for employment. I've been in the same field for many years and Shonda put my heart at ease with her honesty and caring nature by answering all my questions thoroughly. We had a genuine person-to-person conversation... kinda like a "girls day out" because I just felt that comfortable with her! I recommend Shonda to ANYone who happens to find themselves unemployed and needing a new job! She is very efficient and a hard worker! She followed through with my referrals and submitted my resume/portfolio to active accounts. I am thoroughly happy with the job she's done in trying to find me work! read more
