The check was to reimburse me back for past payments (that should have been covered)! My insurance company initially denied claims and coverage months ago. However Naomi continued being persistent to get them to honor and cover my exams with a minimum copay. She really went the distance - to assist me by getting back payments I was owed - as well as benefits for future coverage. The friendly staff at the Dallas office are all very nice, polite and professional! Before Foundation - I was in a Methadone clinic for several years after a pain-management addiction occurred. It was a miserable experience - my first counselor actually died from a heroine drug-overdose! I was treated like dirt by everyone but the nurse administering daily dosages ( which was a big hassle also!). Methadone is a horrible solution! Everyone has been very positive and knowledgable from Dr. Thompson to the entire team. Dealing with a narcotic addiction involves many physiological and physiological aspects and can be challenging and demoralizing - And expensive! Choose your provider very carefully and find kind, good and competent professionals like those at Foundation Medical. They are always available to help you and will work hard for a successful healthcare treatment program! They have improved the quality of my life!

The front desk workers are always kind and helpful. I've had a visit with all the doctors at some point. They are all very helpful and seem to really care about getting you better. They don't just write a prescription and send you on your way. They actually talk with you and try to find the best course of treatment. I had to take off a star because of the high price for a visit, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend this office.

We first visited her on a friends recommendation after my wife became seriously ill. She woke up paralyzed.. An otherwise healthy 35 year old woman, great diet, regular excessive, woke up in severe pain. Unable to walk. Now, this want my first stop. I am a nurse and though yes we use essential oils and other homeopathic remedies, this was an emergency. We went straight to the ER. They found out she had... Nothing. They found absolutely nothing. We did every scan in the world, CT, MRI, x-rays, etc etc, blood works for days, EMG, etc, etc. Then suddenly, she could walk. Still not right though something was clearly wrong, she needs a walker. We were discharged, no diagnosis. Just follow up appointments. Neurology, endocrinology, pain management, primary doctor, spinal care team, etc etc. All with the exact same response, nothing. There is nothing we can find that is causing this. After a second episode. A longer battle that time, same response, nothing. The doctors all pretty much said, she'll have to deal with this over and over. We were recommended to see Dr. Duncan by a friend. She had a mystery issue that doctors couldn't figure out, hair loss, vomiting, rash around the joints. He fixed her right up. Allergy to meat. That's nuts. But she got better fast after she stopped eating it. Now I am ever a skeptic. What made me even consider him, he's a Dr in homeopathy, which can mean a lot of different things, some people get it at a fly by night school. But his school is reputable....And he's a Medical Doctor also. He did blood work assessments that I have never heard of, bio scans I've never seen and spent 3 hours with my wife. We only told him about this incident. He came back and gave us super specific info. He's asked did something happen with the Epidural of your son? Now we have a bit and a girl, that's a little specific. Why? Well I believe that something traumatic happened when they inserted the first Epidural with your son. We'll come to think of it, they did have to take one out and replace it, 8 years ago, because when they put in the first one she became... Paralyzed. No crap. We never thought of that. How did he know. So he explained in depth how he could tell. Gave my wife supplements I have never heard of, by the end of the week, yes just one week, she felt wayyyyy better. Less headache, less pain medicine, better ability to walk. Even the regular doctors were amazed at her speedy recovery. Now it's still an ongoing process, this is not a once and your done kind of place. But the difference had been amazing. Definitely a recommendation. Go here, he's amazing. Only downer, the front office is kind of plain. However, I am not going to a spa, I am going to help my wife get better, and stay better. And your insurance probably doesn't cover the medicine. He's awesome, so don't wait, go. Get better.

From the Breville espresso maker to the grand piano in the living room, or the putting green out back and egg smoker on the deck. And it's situated in the warm niche neighborhood of Lakewood, right in Swiss Avenue in the heart of Dallas. The area is like a small borough in NYC, where you can see the beautiful skyline as you walk to anywhere you need to go, like trendy and quality restaurants, spa treatments, haircuts, banks, even the gym which they provide memberships for clients. Location is important because it puts residents in close proximity to a ton of people in recovery, and different recovery meetings nearby. There are several A.A., NA, Dharma, and SMART recovery meetings nearby, and weekly they have an NA meeting and a Dharma recovery meeting at the house which are both excellent and well attended. But the really precious thing about Elements is the people. The residents are all highly motivated towards recovery and supportive of one another. The house manager is vigilant and committed to keeping residents on track. Drug testing weekly and breathalyzers every night. He also coordinates and participates in community service events like feeding the homeless. The Sober Coach is one of the best in the country. He is instrumental in reframing the situation as it applies to each individual and their long term recovery goals. He helps with relationships and communication with loved ones and advocates for the residents. He leads outreach ventures eg to maximum security prisons and includes residents in these outings. The Life Coach is one of the smartest people I've ever met. She helps residents with everything from the simple tasks of linking bank accounts where they need to go, to formalizing and updating their resumes and doing interview prep. And all of them are networked all over DFW and can get the resident in front of of exactly the right people to achieve their objectives. I've seen residents come through here and transform their lives for the better, improving their relationships, education, and career opportunities. It's a beautiful thing to see the positive transformation that occurs during a resident's time at Elements and working with the team. Highest rating. I could not endorse more emphatically. Five Stars. I sincerely appreciate this place, these people, and what they do.

ReNova changed my life! Here is my story:…read more 1. I tried AA, overall it was kinda cult like. I would not recommend it, especially if you are female. Women are constantly hit on, and NO person should have their boundaries compromised while trying to better themselves. More than half of the people that were in it with me have had multiple relapses, or they are no longer attending meetings. 2. In/Out-Patient: For starters, I know a lot of people that have gone to rehab, from family to friends of friends. Like with AA most of them have relapsed and have had multiple stays (40-60% relapse, 30% of people that go to rehab go again). I called a facility that offered out-patient (losing my job and spending 30-60 days away from my family were not options) and was yelled at with the person specifically stating that I "will not survive in real world if I do not do a 30-60 day detox". Umm..what? Why offer out-patient if you are only going to push in-patient and shame a stranger you have spoken to for less than five minutes?? I also believe that rehab facilities are more interested in making $$ based on research/what I have experienced. **I know there are some people that have experienced sobriety and sustained it with these programs, which I think is amazing and they should be proud of their accomplishment. However, stats clearly show that the traditional methods are not working for A LOT of people. 3. Third time was a charm with ReNova, and I am beyond grateful I have the ability to partake in the program! My first session with Mike was an assessment to see if the program would help me, and he was nothing but warm, inviting, and not judgmental in the slightest (nor has he ever been). There are two programs, one that is alcohol moderation and one is sobriety (I chose moderation). Mike works around your schedule, and while you do have to dedicate some time in the first part of the program, you're not putting your life on hold or making major sacrifices- i.e. you can attend sessions in the evening that won't put your job at risk, aren't spending a month or two away from your family/friends, and you bring your real life everyday stressors/triggers to your sessions and Mike gives you tools/coping mechanisms to work through those stressors so you don't resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms. After reading the book I was skeptical because it goes completely against what society says is the way to treat alcohol issues, but it is also why it works! You dive deep and address every contributing factor which is basically how our brain as the organ it is functions/responds to alcohol, not a character flaw or weakness as a person. Similar to a person with diabetes that can't help that their organs/cells don't function properly causing them to have issues with insulin production. I have almost completed the 12-week intensive part, and my life has completely changed. I no longer crave alcohol; when I do drink I drink waaay less than I used to and am well, "normal". My anxiety/depression is the most managed it has been for YEARS, my body feels healthier, and my friends/family say I am overall a happier person. The statistics show that what is being commonly practiced isn't working. I really hope the ReNova Institute programs become more widespread, it can help so many people struggling with alcohol.
