I wanted to leave a fair and honest review. We started working with integrative wellness in February. Few things I don't like were that all of the appointments are zoom calls. Which for some may work, but I believe to get truly good care, you need an in person patient experience. This appointment was for my daughter who is 8 with rheumatoid arthritis. Our first appointment was informative, however Dr Malcolm was very late to the a call and waited till the last minute to read over my daughter's symptoms and issues. At the end he told me he normally charges for going over the appointment time, but he was the one late? He wanted us to pay over $900 for supplements without even getting to soak in everything we were advised. We declined and later paid. We were charged twice... I understand things happen, however I run a business myself and I have never done this. No biggie, it was fixed.... It it did happen several other times. On several occasions we were sent the wrong items, over charged or did not receive the items at all. His staff seems a little under trained and a lady blamed me for her sending me vanilla protein powder because I didn't specify.... This was my 4th tub probably without ever specifying. Mind you, to re order you literally click "re fill" based off the original prescription from the doctor. So that was interesting to place the blame. The tub is over $72 by the way. Positive was the doctor was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. I just don't think it was a good fit for us, it felt very non professional or personable. The way they recommended so many labs was confusing. But never told us what we really needed until way after.. I think the communication is a little all over the place and their systems need some reviewing. All in all I don't think this is a great choice for children with diseases, but maybe for older people who have the time to deal with the confusing chaos so to speak. We've found a new functional medicine doctor in Dallas and the immediate care is night and day different. I don't mean to put integrative wellness down. But the care overall made me realize this wasn't a good fit. read more

Agreed with some of the more recent reviews. It seems something has changed, as can be seen in the reviews from several years ago and more recently. There does seem to be less attention to detail (ie: not reviewing past visits and new data prior to the appointment), and Dr Morcom being late for appointments. I would never go back to this place! They NEVER answer the phone and you have to wait days before someone calls you back. If they have your debit card information watch out they will debit your account and never let you know and you can't call and find out why because I don't answer!! Dr. Morcom is a gem-- he truly cares about his patients. He knows what he is doing and takes the time to make sure you don't spend dollars in inefficient ways. He helped me heal my gut! Presently, we are working to detox a large amount of heavy metals. I did heavy metal chelations over 15 yrs ago, and as I look back I recognize that they did not use a binder-- and that fact-- is a huge reason that my health never fully recovering, and sadly those chelations actually caused more harm. Dr. Morcom's heavy metal protocol is much easier and manageable in every way--financially as well as the ease of being able to do from the comfort of my own home. It's been quite some time since my short encounter with Morcom. Essentially, for two reasons: #1 I wanted to complete the regimen he provided to see if there was progress with my medical issues, and #2 I wanted to ensure my response was not solely based on the emotion I felt, but informative. As most of you, I considered a holistic approach to my medical issues because I had not been successful with traditional doctors. After years of dealing with the issues I was desperate for answers, and more importantly, relief. My first visit with Morcom, he charged 550 dollars for a 90-minute consultation. After showing up 30 minutes after I was sat virtually awaiting his presence, he appeared. That initial contact with him had me so uneasy, but needless to say, I continued. During the consultation he asked me questions that I had already answered in the paperwork. He spent that time explaining to me the cause of my symptoms, all based on speculation. He initially said I had a high mercury toxin based off the information I gave. He created a regimen to address the issue but also ordered tests for me to take to confirm his assumption. He stated that on our next visit, he would discuss the results of the labs, and modify the regimen. His list of medications totaled approximately 980 dollars, of which he wanted me to purchase that day. For clarity, I inquired about the significance of the advanced purchase prior to the lab results, solely based on his assumption, if he may have to modify the regimen in the event the results are contrary to his belief. I did not want to waste money. The labs were an additional 500 in total or so. So, I was out of a hefty penny prior to even knowing what was causing my issues. Because I was desperate and wanted to believe this would provide answers, I cried my tears and I invested. My emotion was solely based on such a high investment, that may not work. Completion of his regimen confirmed as such. My follow up appt was an additional 250 for the doctor to read the results, which I thought would have been included but it wasn't. So he spent the initial consultation explaining his speculation and offering the definitions of those speculations without actual data to confirm, essentially to justify the cost of his consult. So, let's see, 550 consult, 980 medication, 500 labs, 250 follow up all within two weeks. I tend to record all conversations I have to ensure if I do have an unpleasant experience, I am able to defend my perspective. I recorded our encounters first day, in which 30 minutes into the recording my session began. The follow up session he was also late. When expressing my concern of the price for follow up, he stated he would shorten the call to minimize cost from a 50 min call to 30 for 180 I believe. Well after the call I was charged the full amount. A week later they charged me again for the remaining balance. Morcom stated he charged me the full amount because he went over the 30 minutes, he said it would take. If anyone were to ask me my honest opinion of Morcom, I would say his condescending and passive aggressive personality is a hard pill to swallow. Most of us are in pain. Most of us are at our end and we turn to someone like him for comfort, understanding and a miracle. Instead, he was so nonchalant, sarcastic, and unempathetic. I would never refer an establishment of such to anyone and would suggest there are better places to consider. I decided to go the route of Chinese medicine. The doctor I'm working with is amazing. His spirit upon first arrival was what anyone who is breaking down would love to see hear and feel. More importantly, there is result. Morcom's regimen did absolutely nothing but increase my credit card utilization. Hopefully others will have a better experience, but I have a hard time with the legitimacy of his reviews. Soon after delivering my first baby, I developed symptoms and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease after a year of seeing multiple doctors. My rheumatologist told me to stop breastfeeding my baby; treatment of the disease would consist of taking methotrexate and then a biologic drug like Humira (an immunosuppressant). However, after researching the drugs, I knew I wanted to explore other options. I was in a lot of pain (it was difficult to walk and sleep), an emotional wreck, and feeling hopeless. The online portal Dr. Morcom uses is great because it includes all of our visit summaries (with detailed directions and explanations), lab results, and you can message him directly from the portal. I do that often, and he's responsive! It's also very easy to order any of the supplements/vitamins he recommends. Dr Morcom has made such a significant difference to my health. I initially went to him for a skin issue I was experiencing. However, after doing the initial consult, I realized how much I needed his help. I was also experiencing constant bouts of bronchitis, pneumonia and ended up catching the flu as well. David is absolutely wonderful! I was experiencing a terrible rash over a large portion of my body that was extremely itchy and painful. Nothing over-the-counter or even oral steroids helped at all; and after two weeks of being unable to function due to the rash, with no answers as to the cause, I saw David. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Morcom's help. For about 3 months, I had been suffering from strange symptoms of passing out, dizziness, extreme nausea, and chronic fatigue that took me out of work. After the birth of my third child I started having horrible gas and bloat, anxiety and moodiness that was beyond post partum blues, and extreme brain fog.
