I was truly skeptical, my PCP had been really serious with me the last three years about having weight loss surgery, I refused due to all the horror stories I had heard / witnessed. When asked, "Did they do exactly as the doctor told them?", my answer was no, they hadn't. I agreed to research the process and make a decision. I visited Dr. Long at the Nicholson Clinic, he told me I was a good candidate for the surgery, but there was no hard sales press, no pressure, it would be up to me. I explored it, did all the required steps and determined if I really wanted to live a healthier life, this would be the tool for me. I started my pre-op diet at 294, and in less than 4 months I'm down 66 pounds and feeling better than I have since probably my 20's - I'm 53. I've done exactly what they've said, and it's the best decision I've ever made for my health. We spent an entire week calling Mary Martinez without ever speaking to her or receiving a callback. When we finally reached a manager, we were told she had contacted us, which was simply not true from our experience.
