Things started to be questionable from when we walked in the door. The bartender and a server both just looked at us, as if we knew exactly what to do, rather than greeting us and explaining how their order system worked. I ask if we could sit anywhere and they said yes. So we sat... Then I read at the menu (that I had to go get myself), and it says your order at the bar. OK, got it; we order at the bar.
Fairly good selection of beers on tap, so that encouraged me. But when we got our food I was less than pressed. Perhaps it's the British way, but I have never been served fish and chips before with the skin still on the cod. And one of the two strips was overcooked as well. My wife had the stuffed potatoe and thought it was delicious.
I might come back for the beer, but we won't be back there to eat. read more
