The suites are brand new as of 2016 and are finished to a high standard reminiscent of New England beach chic style. The hotel is extremely dog friendly, allowing dogs in the restaurant, and offering dog meals from the kitchen. They also have hamper service for breakfast, delivering a lovely breakfast to enjoy on your private terrace at 8:30 for ultimate luxury. Also, the restaurant has a somewhat secret vegetarian menu - above and beyond what's listed in the full menu. Be sure to ask to see it, as there are some good choices even if you're not strictly veg.

Then this is the place. We stayed in the 'Admiral' room, and this has one of the most breath taking view, literally looks out to the sea and coast and cliffs. I truly unwind here, food was brilliant, and who knew staying at a pub will be so much fun, but this is by far the most classy pub I have been too, everything is so plush and a lot of effort has been put into details and offering a 5 star service. Getting here did prove a difficulty, not for the faint hearted, but what do you expect, a hotel being on a cliff edge. I thought my car would not make it back up the steep hill. But dont fear, they do provide assistance. The breakfast was good, lots of options, and everything was fresh, and have i mention the view, amazing. One interesting thing to mention, if you ever do visit or stay, there is the resident sea lion, which hangs just by the coast, completely harmless, the locals go swimming with it, likes it nothing. You can buy fish for the kind beast and feed it. Its astonishing. Amazing place, amazing service, when money is no object. Would love to come back.

Extremely busy place in the summer so it is better to make reservations for dinner to avoid disappointed, only fresh food is being served so if you arrive too late they might sold out of your favourite meal by 8:30pm. Slick in terms of décor and style and slick in terms of the serenity slightly higher prices bring. We went just for lunch, which was adequately met with a sandwich and a starter from the black board. Not both for me! I wasn't lunching alone. The staff were friendly and eager to please. It came naturally to them a skill so lacking in so many places. £9.95 for a sandwich might sound a lot, but for plump fresh bread, tasty Devon crab, perfectly seasoned fries and a delicate salad with stunning views out across a bay as naturally rugged and serene as the bar area we were sat I would pay more. I would definitely go back, mainly to see what the atmosphere was like in the evening. The glimpse through to the residents lounge and Spa Treatment Room also intrigued me. This is somewhere I urge all locals to get to know.
