It was sweet and delicious, but I would love to try the new margarita flight next time. A few apps were 50% off during this 9pm-midnight happy hour and I love their Chicken Wonton Tacos (5/5). Haven't been to Applebees in over a decade but came in to use up some old gift cards. Honestly, wasn't expecting much, but we all enjoyed our dinner here considering it was free. The massive margarita helped get us started off in the right way. I also enjoyed my blackened cajun salmon with broccoli, although I'm not quite sure there was any cajun seasoning on there. Omg I used to love Applebees not anymore. I ordered full rack of ribs through grub hub. Look at the photo. I payed $27 for this +fees. The ribs were so dry that I couldn't even eat it. Dear Applebee's please re-think your spinach artichoke dip. We ordered the combo platter and the dip has no flavor at all. I didn't taste any artichokes in it either. Please try a new recipe. The Honey BBQ boneless chicken wings were as hard as a rock, very over cooked, which surprised me because we had just eaten the chili boneless chicken wings and they were cooked perfect. They were tender and very tasty. Mozzarella sticks tasted ok like any frozen brand at the grocery store. The chicken tacos were very good! They had flavor! The steak was really over cooked. I'm pretty shocked at all the bad reviews, like only people who want to complain review? Or does yelp hide the good ones as sometimes they do? This location is consistently busy so they maybe need to reach out for reviews from their steady clientele. Food here is pretty consistent and good, though I had a way too cheesy wrap last week that I didn't like and she offered to replace. Wait staff has always been friendly and we never have had to wait, come about 1-2 times a month, though usually not right at 6pm. I work 2nd shift and could stop by on the way home and pick up Happy Hour for me and my wife. My wife is suffering from heart conditions and can't meet me at 11:00 pm for apps. Terrible service. Server was clearly very impatient with us and wanted our full order. We didn't want to place our entree order until receiving our appetizer. Manager kept bothering us to ask how we were doing. We were gonna let the rude server issue slide until she approached us for the third time. We finally let the manager hear it and she just walked away from us and never came back to our table. The server was then very quick to give us the bill when we were only halfway through our entrees and had never requested the bill. Here is a prime example of a business in need of staff they blow off and lead people to believe they have a job with the company. My nephew applied at the Applebee's in Woodbury and went on two separate interviews, shadowed at the restaurant received all of the information about how things are run he shared his availability he spoke to several managers in person and on the phone. When asked to come into shadow" which they did not compensate him for his time oh except to comp him chicken nachos. unfortunately, after many attempts to reach a manager receiving no response at all 2 weeks later, he gets a call letting him know that they had gone with another applicant. I understand going with a different applicant but at the least you can do as a business is do not leave people hanging its unprofessional and uncalled for. For the record this young man has a lot of experience in the kitchen and has a wonderful work ethic it is your loss he is now employed at a company that values its employees. read more

Neighborhood burger pure pink inside forgot all the toppings. Bourbon street steak hard as a rock, when asked for medium. Another steak asked for medium was rare. Forgot 2 kids meals that they rung up wrong. Forgot 2 sides. They took back one steak to re cook and than 20 min later still haven't brought it back. I Asked about it and she forgot!!!! Than forgot the mushrooms and onions but best believe it was all on the check! I asked for one grilled chicken garden salad to go for my mom. They brought a salad out as if we were eating if they're even though we were already packed up and waiting for one steak and salad to go. !!!I didn't even get to eat my l! I keep giving this applebees a chance and it continually lets me down. I ordered a steak with a baked potatoes. The first potato was black on one end. Clearly rotten and it was still served. The second cane and had also gone bad. Inedible. That was just my food. My moms salad came out with ice cold chicken instead of being freshly made. Ordered the car-side to go for dinner and got confirmation of order received email. I placed my order at 3:30 in the afternoon for pick up at 5 pm. No one came out to husband's car after 5-10 min so we went in. Again, sitting by the car side to go sign and register (which was not lit up) no one paid any attention to him sitting there so after another 5 min or so of all the wait staff passing him by, he asks if someone can help him. Their reply "oh, no one has helped you yet?" Obviously not if I am asking for help. Rude of no one in the store to greet him. After he gets someone attention, he goes to tell them we have an order to pick up, which cannot seem to be found. He shows them the proof of our order, which has already been taken from bank account to be processed, but they said they didn't have an order. He then talked with a manager and several servers and somehow no one could give an answer to where our missing order went. Another 10 min or so goes by and someone walks out with our food and sets it on the bar. No one apologized for the issue, no one tried to correct it. no one handed it to him, just dropped it on the bar and walked away. He grabbed our food and left. First trip back to an Applebee's in quite some time. We were there with a large group (30 + people) and had called ahead to give them a heads up. They were nice enough to set aside a whole section for us; however they only had one poor server for the whole section. With almost 40 people arriving at close to the same time, the server was very overwhelmed which made for slow service. I was catching up with a friend, ordering some appetizers, and she allowed us to sit there for about 1 1/2 hours after we were done to talk, catch up, and talk business. Me and my friends came for happy hour drinks and half apps, we were told that margaritas came with chips and salsa and nothing different about the pricing between dollaritas and regular. Also my friend ordered burger and Fries and literally got 7 fries on her plate smh. We order a few rounds and at the end we asked for the bill and it came out very expensive to our surprise. We talked to the waitress and explained that there was a miscommunication about the drinks and if we can talk to a manager. I get all the way home & missing my children's steaks, so they ask me to come back --- well so now I go back to get my kids steaks and they are cold bc it takes 10 min to get back. I usually don't write reviews but felt the need to after eating at Applebees yesterday. First off who knew they could make a mean steak? I accidentally ordered the wrong thing (completely my fault) and when I brought it to the attention of the manager Jamie she took care of it without a second thought. I thought Applebees was kind of just a chain but now I'm super impressed with their customer service AND their food. Good atmosphere, nice staff. The management must be doing something right. Terrible service. We came in and sat in the waiting area for about a good 5-10 minutes without even being acknowledged. Once we were seated, it took the waitress another 5 minutes to even say anything to us...we were seated next to a table with a literal ton of used and dirty cups, plates, and trash. My daughters food arrived a goof 5 mins before our food did. We had to remind the waitress multiple times for our daughters milk and was not given a straw for it. My steak was severely overcooked...i asked for medium rare & received well done. My waitresses name was Jordan. Maybe she was new, or just terrible. Either way, she didn't even bother to apologize. The same thing happened with the other customers around us. Not sure who the manager was on shift, but they should do their job. This is a joke. When I first came to this location, the food was good and service was decent. My last two visits here just got worse and worse. I ordered the sirloin steak with a baked potato and steamed vegetables. The steak had no seasoning on it, it tasted extremely plain (I swear the first time i ordered steak here it wasn't half bad...now it's just all bad). I order it medium rare. The texture was gummy and the steak just wasn't cooked proportionally. Some parts would be medium rare other parts would be way too rare or burnt. The waitress didn't come around for a while to refill my drinks, she was gone for about 20 to 25 minutes and this is at a time when the place wasn't busy at all (around 10:45pm on a Thursday). The other complaint is on my steamed vegetables. They give a combination of carrots, zucchini, and broccoli. The broccoli was gigantic! It literally was as big as my hand making a fist. Why Applebee's doesn't chop down this mega broccoli to eatable portion sizes I don't know. It was also pretty tough...as in not boiled or steamed long enough to soften the texture. My last issue here is on the chicken wings. Is it just me or are the traditional wings with their bones protruding out of the meat weird looking? It doesn't look like a normal chicken wing to me, the bones are half popping out of the meat, not just for one wing, but all the wings. Are these chickens fed so much steroids that the muscles just push their bones outside of their bodies??? For real...just really weird looking chicken wings. The food quality here has gone downhill big time. For great food nearby this location, go to the Green Mill off Century Avenue and hwy 94. So far, it's only been great service and excellent quality food there. Something Applebee's in no way compares to. read more
