Excellent service to our Military !!!! Really worth the trip. Military menu could be a bit better. Overall was a very nice meal. Wait time was not bad at all. The evening folks had more of a wait.. go early people.. 1-3 good times. The detail they gave us Military folks is just above and beyond... so many young individuals treating all the Military with respect from the time we entered just so nice. Will go back every year.. this was our 3rd year for this particular Applebees. Nice clean, friendly employees truly exceptional experience. Thank you ! Just FYI... I want to start this with a gentle reminder to the JROTC folks and the staff greeting Veterans for Applebees. Although I know it's much more common to see Veterans as middle to older age gentleman, please don't forget that woman serve this country too.. It's never a good feeling going out to eat especially on Veterans Day just to watch the staff automatically greet & shake your boyfriend's hand thanking him for his dedication to this country... I'm sorry I don't have a penis or look like the Veterans you see on a daily basis, but just like them I served and gave multiple years to this country. Please don't forget that for next year.. instead of assuming who served this country.. JUST ASK! I would rather be asked than watch my spouse who has never served a day in his life get thanked for all the time and sweat I dedicated. The food is adequate, NOT haute cuisine but then I didn't expect that. I have been to this particular restaurant numerous times and have only had ONE bad experience with lunch. My main complaint is two fold, I have NEVER been in a restaurant and ordered steak and not had a roll or bread product included. Also when ordered mashed potato's butter is USUALLY included, not here. that must be ordered separately along with a bread stick(extra charge). My mother and I, stopped by for dinner on, Friday the 20th, 2023. The food was ok, however during our meal we noticed an ant, crawling on the table. Wasn't, too worried, but then we noticed more crawling on our table. We immediately stopped eating my meal! I looked at the window area and it was filthy. I usually check the restrooms, first! NO STARS AT ALL!!! I ordered takeout and my steak was supposed to be well done. I knew if I didn't order well it probably wouldn't be done enough from here. WRONG....much worse it was still raw inside and blood drippin. I have seen some steaks under cooked but this was gross!! I called and spoke with Scott the manager and assured me he was sending out gift cards in the mail that night on his way home. Orderd fish and chips dinner through grubhub. Order arrived within the allotted time but was completely cold, fries were stale, hard and unedible. Coleslaw cup was tiny and only 1/2 full and was very dry. There was no ketchup for the fries. Terrible quality food for $20. read more

We went there at 4:15 on Saturday. We were seated right away. We didn't have anyone come to ask for our drink order or have any contact of any kind. Other servers and the manager would walk by and try not to look at us. After 15 minutes, we got up and left. We will not be back to the Washington location. They were not busy at the time. read more

Some of my kids friends went to Applebee's the day after we did and had a similar experience, and they gave their parents trouble because they wanted to go to Imo's instead, but their parents told them it was too expensive. Wow. Never have i had such a bad experience at an Applebee's. The hostess pulled a piece of chewed gum out of her mouth as she was figuring out where to seat us. Played with it in her hand, and put it back in her mouth. Then took us to our table. Handed us menus with said hand.... Gross. We sat for a long time with no one coming to the table. It was not that busy. Steady. But not overwhelming. Our waitress seemed bothered to be at our table. We were just 3 people. Ordered ice tea, a skinny margarita, and some fruity drink my friend wanted to try. She went away for 15 whole minutes. She came back with the 2 alcoholin drinks, no tea. Said it was the bar's fault. They don't even give you tea from the bar. Anyway. We ordered spinach artichoke dip as an app. This came out quickly. No plates, though. It's fine. For meals, one got some of the most disgusting burgers, ever. It was way overcooked, brown lettuce, pale tomato, she asked for bbq sauce, and it was never brought, but she was charged. She asked for broccoli as a side, fries were brought. My other friend ordered the orientation grilled chicken wrap with mac n cheese for the side. Okay, the wrap was 90% tortilla, very messy, because it was all loose with very little filling. Very let down. The mac n cheese was plastic like and cold. They reheated it. I have visited this restaurant for many years now and there hasn't been much change. As usual, the waitstaff ranges from ok to great, but the food falls way shorter. It never seems to fail, everytime and I mean EVERYTIME I come in, there is something wrong or poorly executed. I usually don't complain but these occurrences still bother me. I don't believe I have ever had a steak cooked properly, most recently my medium rare came out with little to no pink. Other occasions I have waited +20 minutes for appetizers and longer on entrees. Also, the fact that they have a smoking and nonsmoking section is a joke, there isn't any barriers or walls to prevent smoke from drifting into nonsmoking, not to mention part of the nonsmoking is right next to the bar! Applebee's in Washington is probably the best bet when not looking for fast food. I usually get the sampler appetizer as my meal. it's not bad. but sometimes it isn't great. The service is usually okay. Not fab. But I don't mind. I love Applebee's and I'll keep coming back. The Chicken quesadilla is superb so are the pub pretzels with beer cheese dip and the spinach and artichoke dip is fantastic. Butttt the chips are lacking. I've been going to Applebee's for years because I love the half priced apps! However, last time I was there (last Friday) for the late night deal, my friend and I both got food poisoning the next day. It had to have come from this restaurant because it is the only shared meal my friend and I have had in months and no one else we knew got sick. All I ordered was mozzarella sticks and onion rings (same as my friend) so it's not like we got sick from premade fried food. The kitchen/waitress/dishes/silverware must not have been cleaned resulting in my vomiting for a day or so. Applebee's has really stepped up to the plate and have started putting out some good meals. They have a good selection on the menu. The staff are always friendly and the service is fast. I like having the little computer on the table, it comes in handy when we need drink refills and to pay the bill. read more

This is actually an great location we did the 2 for $25 and got plenty of food. The waitress was wonderful and at the end of our meal the manger came to our table to ask us how everything was. So I can't understand why this restaurant has such an low rating. I can think of other places that are much worse. read more

Applebees is a great local bar and grill. The food isn't 'amazing' and is sometimes hit or miss but today it was cooked perfectly and served hot. The atmosphere is always laid back and comfortable. What made this visit notable is the bartender, acting as our waitress, Danielle. She was in constant motion. Clearly busy as Hell but conscientious enough to check in with us at exactly the right time every single time we needed something. She even made a point to interact with my son and kept his Cherry Pepsi fresh the whole time we were there ... which I may not appreciate but he certainly does. :-) The only negative during this visit was the employee standing at the register the entire time we were there. We never did figure out her actual role but were entertained while we tried to guess her job for the night. While everyone else was running around, she was still as a statue. I went with my wife & she ordered a nice meal. She liked it so much, we went back the next week and she ordered it again. But this time she didn't like it because the meat was totally dry, not juicy like it was before that she loved. The waitress asked me how everything was, so I told her there was a problem with my wife's dish. She went & got the chef, he came out & the Manager came over to us to find out what was wrong. So the Manager said he was very sorry & would make it right to bring out another. I told him I was not complaining to get free food, I don't do that, I just wanted them to know it was not the same as it was the week before. They brought out not only more meat, but a whole new dinner for my wife! I did not expect that at all, he also asked if I wanted a desert on the house. I told him that was not necessary. I am now 55 years old. It is hard to find anywhere that treats the customer with such respect as this, they make it right. This is exactly what the Manager & Chef should have done, but most businesses do not do this anymore. Because they care about what the customer thinks & are very friendly & polite...I will always give them my business. They treat you right & you know it. They even have space reserved up close for Military, I have never seen that anywhere else. Doesn't get any better with respect than that. read more
