Worst customer experience I've ever had at any restaurant. Ordered two burgers and a salad. Burgers were dry, no sauce to speak of which made it worse. Burger arrived with bun falling off, salad was wilted with no dressing and no fork!!!. Had to drive back 15 miles to get dressing and fork, and was met with a "talk to the hand" attitude by the people there. "I'm busy" and "I'm doing something else" were the phrases I heard. I wouldn't go back here if my life depended on it. Absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs. Chose this Applebee's for a meal last night. No menus, they are doing a QR menu.. kind of strange. We waited for over 10 minutes to have our drink order taken. Our waitress was new and she told us that when she took the order. We ordered a 2/$22 (price has gone up) and a kids meal. Two chicken tenders with fries/ onion rings for appetizer and Mac n cheese kids meal, simple meal. Got our appetizer before we got our drinks. My meal and the kids meal came out but my husbands did not. The chicken tenders were not tenders they were more like breasts... hard to eat. Finally after about 5 min of waiting for my husbands meal we asked the hostess to send our waitress over because we hadn't seen her but the one time with the drinks.... the manager ended up coming over and asking what we were waiting on. He said the waitress was new and was overwhelmed- understandable. They brought out his meal eventually and I had to ask the girl who brought that for drink refill because again we didn't see anyone for that. Our bill was wrong when we went to pay but we got that corrected the booth in front of us received the wrong meal and the booth across from us was waiting like us. The overwhelming vibe inside the restaurant was that they were just trying to keep it together... tough. Not the best experience, I get everyone is short staffed and struggling. Just was hard to pay money for a meal and get less than good service. It is what it is. Manager was kind, he was doing best he could. I put in a carside order to go. Got home and my chips were stale. I took them back and Mike the Manager took care of me. He made be a fresh order and made me happy. A couple of tips included in this review of this disappointing Applebees: 1. You better like your meat the way they cook it, no matter what they decide that day, because the server thought I was crazy for asking if my steak could be cooked medium rare. They come out medium and that's that. There's no well-done, no medium rare, nothing of the sort. One size fits all and it's called boil in a bag. Like it, nippy. 2. Whenever you see someone that resembles an Applebees staff member, flag them down and get a drink. It doesn't matter if you already have a drink, stock up. It's rare for the server to come by to see if you need refills, unless she asks how your meal was and doesn't wait for an answer. You will then be bestowed a refill. Keep chewing your meat and be happy she feigned a caring attitude. 3. Everything comes out at once. Specifying that you want your appetizer, then salad, then entree is silly and a complete waste of breath and time. Appetizer, salad, entree... they're all coming out at once so get ready to sit down and inhale your food because something is going to get cold unless it's already cold then it's going to get warm. You will have a lot of food placed before you. There is one course and everything goes into that course. 4. Occasionally there seems to be a game where a person who is not your server comes by and puts a napkin and plates down on the table just to, and I quote, "mess with your server". It's the stuff sitcoms are made of. 5. Be thankful for the automated electronic gizmos on the table so you don't have to wait for your server to bring a check. Said server will never stop by with a check or to check your drink or anything, so just hit a button and get the heck out of there as quickly as possible. read more

First of all, I don't care how much backlash I got on this I truly think we were discriminated against because of my attire/appearance resembling law-enforcement/military. We sat down at 2:50 PM after and about a half hour we sat we had no service so I asked the hostess if we could please get service to our table. She said she would send our server right over and after waiting 10 more minutes I decided to get up and find the manager and ask him if we could get service to our table. He had the audacity to question how long I was sitting there and asked me if I was sure I was there for 40 minutes. I said yes we came in at 2:50 and it's 330 and we still have not even got a glass of water. He said he would send somebody right over and we patiently waited, and again nobody came over. He finally came over and asked if he could get us a drink and an appetizer. We ordered the sampler combo a Pepsi and two signature drinks. Soon after that our server finally came over and said, I'm sorry for the wait that her computer was down but meanwhile other people in the restaurant are using the same computer system ordering food receiving drinks receiving food just receiving service in general. I told her that the manager took our drink order and our appetizer, but we would like three waters and 2 classic cheeseburgers one with no tomato and one bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños. She looked confused as she took our order and walked away. I went over to the bar where she was, at the computer system and I made sure she had her order right and she says I will make sure cheese is on all the burgers. We had then received our signature drinks and the Pepsi, as well as our appetizer. We finished the appetizer and we're waiting for our lunch to come out and around 25 to 30 minutes later she had came over and said she just put our order in because she forgot to enter it. At this time we have been there for over an hour. When our food came out, I had asked her again for water which she did not give us. She said she would be right back finally after a third time with me asking water was finally brought to our table. Our food was absolutely disgusting. Our burger was in about 6 to 8 broken pieces, they had forgot the bacon and the jalapeños on my burger. They asked if I wanted bacon and jalapeños and I said yea, I ordered it so they took my plate and out cold jalapeños on it and burnt bacon which was also cold . We had to use a fork and the little wooden skewer to eat our food because it was broken apart and hard to pick up. I asked for the check and the box for the burger my stepson couldn't even eat because of how frustrated we were. Our server dropped off the box and check and then disappeared. I had asked the bartender if I could pay for my check at the bar because our server was nowhere to be found and she said that she couldn't do it for me. I had to go and get the manager to finally ask them if I could pay for my bill that I've been here for two hours and they said well, not really I said I'm sorry I'm 15 minutes shy of two hours. They had the bar manager who was able to process my payment and I told her this is absolutely ridiculous. My wife couldn't drink her drink because it tasted like nail polish remover and would like it removed from my bill which they refused. I then Reiterated we were here for two hours and I have never experienced such poor service in my life. She made every excuse in the world for our server, our service, the quality of food and I told her that the table in front of us came 40 minutes after us receive their food before us and actually receive service. That our server came to our table turned around and walked away and neglected us. She then said well she's new and she has a lot of tables had she had four tables and this is unacceptable. I paid I left absolutely no tip and informed them that this is absolutely the worst service I have never felt so discriminated/neglected against in my life and given excuses for their behavior and I refuse to go back to this location. This place was horrible. I have a sensitive stomach to spices. The item I ordered on the menu did not list cajuin spices as an ingredient however the chef decided to add it "for flavor" I was told by the server. It took 15 minutes to get a manger and when I did I did not receive an apology, a discount or a meal that was cooked without them. I was peeved. My man and I finally left almost 3 hours later after feeling like my body had exploded while in the restroom. I highly recommend NOT going to this location. Let's start with seating, first the host placed us at small little booth that doesn't fit my 6ft 1 husband and let alone my baby so we were a little uncomfortable and the tables next to us were dirty and left alone. Our poor waitress must be busting those tables after she's gotten other customers in. She was the only one at that section. The host seems to be young and didn't care to help but just to stand around doing nothing. The floor was dirty and left with waste and no one care to sweep it and still hasn't even when we were done eating. Anyways we've ordered 2 for 20. We got the spinach dip and chips and let me say the chips were as salty as an ocean can be! It was disappointing and so was our grilled chicken. Chef must never seen salt in his life or something. Quite possibly the most annoying experience at a restaurant ever!! Our server had seven tables and the only other one on the clock was not doing a single thing to help her! She was too busy making drinks for the servers off the clock who were sitting at the bar talking so loud with the most annoying voice for our entire meal To no surprise the food sucked and one of our meals had to be compensated, but that took another 20 minutes because the creepy manager had to flirt with and clear the plates of the employees at the bar! This is probably the worst Applebee's I've been to (I live in NJ and haven't had any issues with the ones there). The meat was not fully cooked and tasted like rubber. The brócoli was also really bad because it was served cold and tasted stale. In addition, the serving sizes are much smaller than what I expected [having visited other Applebee's].
