We stopped in for a quick lunch after hitting a few different stores before. First, we started with drinks and that was probably the highlight of the meal. I got a blue raspberry lemonade. Anyone who knows me knows how much of a child I am when it comes to anything blue and specifically blue raspberry. It was absolutely delicious and I couldn't help myself from asking for a second towards the end of the meal. Next came the appetizers where Applebee's really shines. We got the sampler and everything was great. The mozzarella sticks were hot and the cheese was perfectly melted. The boneless wings had a great flavor, the quesadillas (arguably my least favorite part) were good and the spinach dip hit the spot. I could've kept eating appetizers all day. Finally, I ordered my main dish, which was a chicken fajita roll up and it just lacked much of any flavor. It was okay, but that was it, just okay. Next time I go to Applebee's I think I'll stick to ordering a bunch of different appetizers as my meal, because they were drastically better than my main meal. read more

This Applebee's is probably the best one on the island. Every time I've come here, the restaurant is clean and tidy, and the staff always welcomes me in with a smile. The food was always good, and it was always served quickly and always cooked well. Never had to send anything back. The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating, the service is quick and attentive. Took my family here for my son's 4th birthday (he was adamant about going to Applebee's) and, even though they don't do the birthday candles and song anymore, they made an exception and sang Happy Birthday to him, which they didn't have to do. Though the food was great and the restaurant was clean, it's the little things like this that keeps customers coming back. Everytine I come here I get the same waitress and she's consistently terrible. Even when the restaurant is empty, staff walk around and see us waiting to be seated but we get ignored. One time I walked out because I never got seated. 20 mins to ask us about drinks, never come around to ask how anything is, no drink refills, I don't know why we consistently get this waitress and she's always bad. The food has gone downhill and is cold half the time. They were "out of broccoli today" for two months straight. I would come here because of convenience on my work lunch but I won't be back. Visited this Apple Bees today. I originally went there to pass some time for an appointment I had set for my dog at Petco. When I walked in I was greeted by a young man who asked me where I would like to sit. Not thinking about it at all & knowing I was by myself I chose the bar because I didn't see the reason for me to sit in a booth if I'm alone. When I got to the bar a young lady came to take my order. While waiting I went off to the bathroom real quick before my order had come. When I came back it took a while to get my food. The young lady was moving around doing other things & I get it. I'm from New Orleans & worked in the hospitality industry for years before becoming a truck driver & company owner so I understand. But, I noticed the lack of urgency & concern that she had for me while sitting. Mind you I was just there to eat & leave. I literally had a $20-$25 tip with her name on it. But, as time progressed & she was busy tending to other tables without noticing me at all. I had to get my food served by the manager of the restaurant. Ok. I get it. She's busy right. Cool. Understandable. But, the problem came in when I literally waited to see if she would notice that I had nothing left to drink & that my other food was taking a while to come out. It took her maybe 10-15 minutes to even acknowledge that I was still waiting. Then when I told her I just needed a refill on my drink (Which was a Pepsi) she continued whatever she was doing. Maybe 5-10 minutes later she asked the Host can he help her real quick. In which the host was actually a pretty good sport. He was the one that actually helped besides the manager. He came through with my food, to go plates & my drink. This young lady didn't even try to take payment from me. Which is crazy. Lol. I literally had to ask the host about the payment & he told her afterwards. She finally came over to take payment. In which I paid & although I should have not left her a tip, I did anyways because it just doesn't feel right for me to not leave anybody a tip when I've worked in this industry for over a decade & know that they pretty much rely on tips for their income. She could have a family at home to feed so, I wasn't going to leave nothing. But, I would like for her to know that she missed a good tip being negligent. Sorry for the word if it's offensive but, that's pretty much the energy she gave me. Meanwhile the food was good & fresh. I appreciate that & also appreciate the host & manager. Big ups to you guys. Probably won't be returning to this location because of so much traveling with work. But, overall I'm disappointed with the bar tender & am happy with the manager, host & food. read more

A-OK! I stopped in here with my brother and we both had burgers and left pleased. I went ahead and had the Blazin' Texan burger which was amazing. Juicy burger patty smothered with shredded brisket and cheese sans the jalapenos. My brother had the quesadilla burger and was also pleased. The burgers were great but the fries were slamming! They came out hot and nicely salted. Service was OK and the bill was cheap! If you go into it knowing its Applebee's you wont be supper let down like some of the other reviewers. The service was actually 5 stars. I was in there on Sunday night, everything was great! They actually had an every other table policy in lieu of the recent restaurant half capacity restrictions. I applaud them for what they had set up and how they were helping the overall cause until one idiot walked in and sat down with his family right in between two other tables. The nicest waitress came over and asked him if she could just please move to this other table due to the new policy and what not. The man refused twice, saying how he owns a restaurant, blah blah blah. Finally the manager comes over and instead of backing up what the waitress said and the policy that she helped make or implement herself. She tells the guy he could stay there! And starts talking nice to this clown who made a scene twice when the nice waitress was trying to do what was told of her and follow the new protocol. If it wasn't for my girl, I would've jumped in and told this man a piece of mind! During this time with what's going on, there was no need to sit right on top of other people in the booths! He put not only his only family in danger but two other families as well. I really do applaud the policy that your guys set forth during that time following the city's limits on restaurants. But that manager didn't act properly and have your staff's back. I ordered there tonight (11/6/21) & we spent almost $50 for a fatty quesadilla w/hardly anything in it & what is usually my favorite salad which had dry grilled chicken & that wasn't the only dry thing. I offered to pay for extra dressing which the waitress asked if I would pay $4.50 extra for chicken & noodles. I came for a few half price appetizers and dessert with a friend. Place was empty and service was still horrible. We didn't get one water refill. Kitchen was closing soon and our waitress said to us "if your dessert comes out with your food I'm sorry." I thought that was a little pushy and rude. I understand it's late and you're getting ready to close but don't show that in your service and affect. Food was good we got the chicken wonton tacos and steak quesadillas. Just got back.....where do I start? Sat at the bar and ordered a beer and some food with my wife. All NFL games available through Direct TV advertised on the card in front of me however no football on any of the TVs. I ask the bartender and she asks me what channel should she put on?!?! She asked a manager to help her and after wizzing up and down the guide he says he doesn't have any football. After I insist he tries again and finds a game. The prices have risen and the bartender was tending to patrons at the bar as well as all the tables in the bar area. I realize that Covid plays a part in both price and staffing levels but I'm still not happy at this point. Food and drink arrive after a waiter tried twice to give us things we didn't order. I then overhear some mention a $5 drink special. When I enquire the bartender digs a flyer with the drink special printed on it. Too late! I'm already sipping my drink! A few minutes later I overhear another person mentioning a Happy hour. I see the bartender dig out a flyer and hand it to the patron. No where are the drink special or the happy hour apps posted where you can see them. If you don't know to ask you are out of luck! Although the bartender tried her best, these issues are a product of poor management. If you check my history you'll see I am a pretty fair reviewer. Rarely do I post less than 3 stars. I called this location and I asked the guy. do they have lunch specials . he told me yes that we have hamburger and french fries for $10. He said it ends at 3 o'clock you better hurry over. I drove and I got it before 3 o'clock. I sat down the gave me a menu. I told the waitress where is the lunch specials on the menu. she said there is not not on the weekends. I get it, you go into Applebee's because you don't want to go to a good restaurant. You want to go somewhere with the kids that is quick and cheap. You're better off in McDonalds. My daughter found a hair in her food after she ate almost the entire meal. When we told the waitress about it, she didn't even apologize. The manager came over, no apology, just said we should have said something sooner. ...sorry, we didn't see it sooner or we would have. He took the meal off, which was not what I wanted. I just wanted an apology. Our waitress clearly didn't want to be there. It took twenty minutes to get her attention that we wanted to pay. When she finally came back to the table, she pointed to the touchpad on the table to tell us we could pay with that and walked away. I had a $50 bill with me. Took another five minutes to get her attention to give her the cash and she seemed annoyed that she had to deal with it at all. Should've went for pizza. read more

Came here on Tuesday afternoon around 4 PM. Sat right away, got our drinks and placed our order. This place took forever. So so slow. It wasn't even crowded. The food came out at different times. I forgot to mention the tables were filthy, the menus were sticky and the silverware was spotty,, really gross. The waiter was a little inattentive, all our drinks went to the very bottom and we were never asked for refills. So in summary, the place was filthy, it took a long time, the waiter was not attentive but the food was OK. First time in many years I didn't give 20% as a tip. Surprisingly enough, It's seems like they got there act together. Nothing ground breaking yet but a big improvement. Maybe they changed managers and staff. The restaurant was fairly crowded for a Tuesday but we were greeted and sat right away. I just figured they were slow as balls like my last visit. Very cool waiter, drinks came right over and we ordered the 2 for 25. The app came out super quick but my son and I were slightly baffled since We wasn't use to that being the norm. This Applebee's is very kid friendly with lots of kid activities; including characters walking around while you eat, popcorn machines, coloring.. which is great, except for when you do not have kids and go there to get drunk ::sigh:: isn't any place safe anymore? The service and food is standard. Aside from kiddies, this place is located by the Christmas Tree Shop so expect lots of bargain hunters (nothing wrong with that at all - I am one). I would come back here when the weather gets nicer, the outside area looks really nice and separate from everything, sure the view is a huge parking lot, but that's when those large fruity drink specials come into play... read more

I've been to this Applebee's multiple times and never had any complaints but this time is different. Came in at about 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon, we were seated quickly but once we placed our order is when I started to have problems with the place. While sitting here eating my appetizer, I over heard the servers loudly talking about how a customer called about having food poisoning from their food. At this point, this disgusted me and actually ruined my appetite, but since we had already ordered I figured I would try and eat my meal. While waiting a very long time for my food I overheard many of the servers screaming a conversation about who went to the bar last night, who just bought a new car, Starbucks coffee cups, etc. This continued all throughout my meal. I understand talking while you're not busy, but it is unnecessary to be screaming conversations loud enough where I can hear your conversation better than my own. While they were talking, my boyfriend's cup was empty and we could not get her attention to bring us another drink. At this point, we were frustrated and just wanted to leave. Once we got the check, we gave her our card and when she returned to bring us the receipt to sign, she threw the paper and pen down on the table and when I said "thank you" she just looked at me and didn't even smile. I would give this specific experience a 2 star rating, only because the food was good and I enjoy coming here on nights when other servers are working.
