Our server was super friendly and prompt. The dining area was clean. The entrees were great. We both ordered the Fiesta Chicken. I was able to sub my rice for garlicky green beans. As an appetizer we had the mozzarella sticks which at every Applebees are not anything spectacular, but ok. read more

My wife was ill so I ordered her some hot Tortilla soup. Told it would be ready but still had to wait 15 minutes. For soup? When Nathan delivered my order there was a very small container( like for a side of slaw). I asked why the order was so small and I was told sorry that's the only container available . I explained that this was not enough for my wife and not close to Chicken Tortilla Soup ¥ $6.49. I then just asked to make two slaw cups full since they did not have the proper size. I was told sorry" can't do it and that there was no one for take out orders and he was the bartender. Really poor service and the price of this was ridiculous. I did not get anything close to what I ordered, which was so disappointing because I was really looking forward to this meal. I had a California Grilled Chicken Salad last night in the restaurant, and it was excellent. But... we ordered the same thing to go tonight and it was not worth the $16. No dressing. Mostly lettuce. The food is relatively inexpensive, the atmosphere is fine, the service is usually good, and the food is also consistently good, not great... but consistently good. There aren't many places where two people can go someplace nice, get good food, and spend less than $50. read more

I haven't been in Applebee's for about six years; now I member why. My Caesar salad was iceberg lettuce with a cup of Miracle Whip dumped on it. I hate Miracle Whip. I did not eat more than a couple of bites. The waiter asked "how's that tasting?" I prefer "Are your .... to your liking?" Proper English and manners, please. I have always liked spinach & artichoke dip with chips ... think someone forgot the artichoke. Of my friend's French Onion soup ... it was alright. Common cheese, not-toasted bread. There are some really incredibly servers here that treat you well when they begin to see you at the restaurant as a regular (I often come over after theatre shows). The food is generally well done for what to expect from an Applebees and they are good about fixing things that come out as a mistake. In the past few months the bar has had some issues keeping things on tap which has caused frustration. I do with that Applebees corporate would come in and update the interior. It's beginning to look and feel old overall and that's not really any of the workers fault at all. read more

Applebee's was the place to go about 20-30 years ago. Around ten years ago the company wanted to make the diner more hip and got rid of a few things that older retirees liked, like Happy Hour beer deals. My husband would come here after work for a few beers before heading home. Luckily this place does a nice job on Veteran's Day honoring those who served. I finally stopped in myself today and walked in around 4pm on a Monday. I sat at the bar. The place was empty, but my server was fast and friendly. I needed some time to look over the menu as I hadn't been here since before Trump was president. Prices have gone up quite a bit since 2016. Craft beer is $7 a pint ($8 for 20 oz and $9 for 25 oz) so I opted for a $5 Happy Hour Margarita, on the rocks with no salt. I hadn't had one of those in a while and it was good. I ordered a Sweet and Spicy chicken sandwich, which turned out to be more of a salty sandwich, along with the fries. Luckily my server was quick at refilling my water glass. The cole slaw on the patty was a nice touch, but the overall taste sensation was salt, nothing sweet or spicy. I found out by overhearing my server talking to another customer that burgers are $10 on Mondays, all day long. I wish she had told me that! read more

The young folks working at this Applebees in Sierra Vista are just lovely people. Hailee at the front desk was so friendly and sweet. She cleaned a table for us in the corner of the bar so we could sit where we liked. Nathen was doing triple duty as bartender, order taker, and server, with a big smile and kindly attitude. I wish we had gotten the name of the charming young fellow from the kitchen who helped us sort out our online gift card. He was so patient and helpful! If these young folks represent the youth of America, we're in very good hands. Our order included an appetizer, a salad, fish and chips, and a glass of wine. We enjoyed the bar, full of people listening to the music and watching the Olympics on the multiple screens. Service was impeccable. We weren't rushed, and Nathan was very attentive. The food came out at a nice, relaxed pace and the temperatures were spot on. When we're next in the mood for a diner-type meal, we'll return to this Applebees. The kids are alright! read more

The food was alright, got the 8 oz steak. Was decent however was overcooked. I asked for medium rare came out medium - medium well, the mashed potatoes were insanely hot to a point that even after 20 min they were un-eatable, then to top it all off. I waved down our Waiter and asked for a box and the check. I finally get them after 20 minutes of sitting there, and then she just dropped it off and left even though we had our card out and tried handing it to her, 15 minutes later she comes back for it. Our order was not made correctly, even after I called and spoke to someone. The hostess or whoever it was that brought the food was condescending, rude and acted like we were disturbing her day. I left feedback and requested a callback...guess what? Never heard from anyone. This is why restaurants don't last in Sierra Vista, horrible customer service and no follow up. read more

We were sat rather quickly on a Saturday night, but that was where the good ended. They weren't too busy, not all tables full. Had a server run by and say she would be by in a minute. That never happened. We waited there nearly 15 minutes and had several servers pass by, ignore us, and what looked like the manager watching us from the wall, and no one ever came by to get our drink order. So we left and went to Chili's. WOW, what a difference in service! We were also immediately sat there and our drink orders were taken quickly. So I went to Applebee's for my free birthday dessert. I ordered a half rack of ribs for $20. They were good, but shouldn't a half rack be more than three small ribs? Ok I know, 4 stars for "Applebees"??? But we were seriously surprised by their baby back ribs in the Sierra Vista location. These ribs were slightly charred & crisp on outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, and just the right amount of sauce. We were shocked at how GOOD these ribs were!! And to top it off, we got them through their 2-meal promotion so it was really reasonable! Of you want good ribs and are in this area, I highly recommend this place. No need to overpay at a steak or rib joint, these ribs are delicious!! read more

We went in as usual sat at bar. Ordered a perfect margarita...and it was far from it. Sent it back and bartender informed us that someone had mixed up the sweet and sour mix with lemonade. He had known about this for sometime and yet did not dump it. Why?! there were two full bottles of this disgusting tasting concoction that he pulled out of the fridge...He replaced my drink but by that time my husband was done with his. Was expecting change- but she put the total into the screen but then she began looking in her money belt for something. I said well it's 5 and some change, just keep it. I regret this. I didn't expect to have my change held hostage. I won't be back very soon. Food is high enough for you to hand me a bag and expect a tip is not good business. A few nights ago, I ordered a medium rare steak with mashed potatoes and a beer. The steak was as rare as a seared tuna at a sushi bar and mostly cold, and the mashed potatoes were barely warm. I'm just here for a couple weeks a year and look for decent food while I'm here, so I can come back during my visits to SV. Unfortunately, the food was not worth stopping in for. Good help is elusive in SV. But good management can create good help. If you want a decent steak in SV, it looks like Texas Roadhouse is the place to go. read more

Ok, this is mainly a sports bar with a restaurant but I still ordered the sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes. I was severely disappointed. The steak was so tough, I think of the term shoe leather. It was supposed to be covered in a butter sauce but I'm thinking more of grill grease. The mushrooms and onions which came with it were burnt. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted OK but seemed fancied-up powdered potatoes. The service was friendly but when I requested a refill of my iced tea, it was refilled with no added ice, lukewarm with my old lemon still in it. For the price not worth it. I saw the salads go by and they looked so much better. If going here I would order one of their salads--a sad dining experience. read more

I came to eat here tonight which is 5 pm on a Sat night Jan 29, 2022, because I was attending a square dance festival in town and needed to eat at a place that had wifi. There was a 15 min wait because they only had 3 servers for this Sat night so they blocked off many empty tables because there were no servers to provide services. I ordered baby back ribs for $19.99 full rack. I asked for my sauce on the side. When the ribs came, they were all burnt black on the top as in the photo. I said to my server that they looked all dried out and crispy like beef jerky. Will told me it didn't have sauce on top, and if I felt I needed to trade, to let him know. Later, I asked Will if it was possible if I could have more Cole slaw because the little sauce container only had two tablespoons in it. He said "he would see what he could do". I also asked for little take out cup of BBQ sauce for my ribs leftovers. Will surprised me but bringing me this larger soup cup of cole slaw. See attached photo. I thought, that was certainly generous of him, and started to eat it. Well, the dry ribs was passable and I don't like to waste food and restaurant's money, unless it is totally not edible. But, meat was edible and not all dried and crispy in between the rib bones. I would have given my experience tonight 4 stars because William B. my server, was very attentive and came back twice to ask me if everything was OK. But when the bill came, I got charged $2.99 for "mashed potatoes" and .50 for the to go container if BBQ sauce. I have never been charged for to go BBQ sauce, ever, but maybe due to Covid losses, restaurants wanna charge for every little crumb to make up for their losses. Will was explaining away the "mashed potatoes" (no key for Cole slaw) $2.99 charge, I told him all that he was saying to me now, should have been told to me when I worded my query in the word you read above, which was worded to ask between the lines and tone of voice if I could have another sauce container of two more tablespoons of Cole slaw. Get it? Well he didn't get it and was quite long winded about reasons for the charge and why it was called" ALA garlic mashed potatoes" on my ticket. I stick to my guns that he would have told me all this detail when I asked for a little more Cole slaw. Will went to ask the manager, who took the $2.99 off the bill. I was ok with the .50 for BBQ sauce because the ribs were dry and I needed the sauce. Two stars because of reasons discussed above and also tabletop was very sticky in the center with built up oils like you'd find on a stove top that you hadn't cleans for a while. They tried to clean with napkin, but did not have Comet or 409 grease cutter, that would have removed the coat of sticky buildup, so I put a napkin over the sticky area. I would have given 4 stars if it weren't for the surprise $2.99 on the bill, and 5 stars if the ribs were not so dry and crispy, because until the $2.99 charge, Will was a pretty good server. read more

I was never really a big Applebee's fan until recently. Started stopping in there on my way home from the golf course. About once per week. The food is well prepared and tasty. The servers are fast and friendly. Lots of big screen TVs and a full bar making it a great sports bar to watch your favorite sporting event. Lots of drink specials and great bartenders. Bartender Katelynn is probably one the best Bartenders I have ever met. Very friendly, chit chatty and puts in the extra effort into making the specialty drink of your choice. I would give this place ten stars if I could. I highly recommend Applebee's for your next Sierra Vista sports bar outing. read more

The review would've been lower if it wasn't for the amazing server! She was super sweet and really attentive. I ordered the broccoli chicken Alfredo and I got the wrong order but she was quick to fix it. When I got my plate, the chicken was cold and the sauce was super watery and didn't taste good. My girlfriends ribs were super cold as if they were freshly pulled out of the freezer and slapped them on the grill for a few minutes. The ribs were also very hard and left a bad taste. I was super disappointed in the food. I would not recommend eating here unless you want food poisoning. read more
