Service is very hit or miss. The assistant manager if, of course, a great server. However, she is about the only one we've liked. This was the worst lunch experience my coworkers and I have ever had! Waitress really tried but she was getting no help in the kitchen. Ordered 2 southwest steak salads and not only did they look disgusting they tasted bad too! Lettuce was so old it did not crunch there was no toppings and no southwest dressing. Instead we got plain classic ranch but the manager tried to say it was cilantro ranch...ha what a joke! They tried to accommodate by ordering something else. My coworker decided not to eat but I thought why not they can't mess up a hamburger. I was soooooo wrong! A chunk of my patty was missing, the tomato looked so sad and old and the burger had no flavor what so ever! They did not season the meat. They didn't offer dressing for my burger I had to wait for the waitress to come back to ask for ketchup mustard and mayo and a to go box. I ended up getting a packet of vinegar instead of mayo. I will NEVER return here! If a manager is sending food out like this he/she needs to fired!!!! My family and I went there Friday night 10/11/19 and food was not well-prepared. Our appetizer, boneless chicken wings, came out room temperature. They were sent back to the kitchen and came out with our meals. The meals were not much better because the ribs were burnt and so was the bourbon chicken underneath, it was not supposed to be blackened but it was black and only on one side, the bottom. We sent the chicken back, the waitress apologized and promised to talk with the manager. Of course by the time chicken came back out everyone else had eaten, so we got it to go. The waitress offered complimentary desserts for our trouble, we didn't really want dessert but accepted because it was a nice gesture considering our experience. She took our dessert order, but then came back 5 minutes later and said the manager would only comp us for one dessert. I am done with this place! The manager should be fired or intensely retrained because after all this, she/ he never even bothered to come to our table personally! The restaurant was not crowded, not even half full. A sincere apology and a promise to do better next time may have swayed me but her lack of concern leaves me with no choice but to put Applebees on my list of places to stay away from. Poorly prepared food and poor customer service when there is a problem= spend my money elsewhere and tell everyone I know about my experience. My husband asked me to give this restaurant a zero. He found out that that was not an option, he said a negative 1, so a 1 is what I gave them. We used to love Applebee's. We used to go there in order to get a decent meal and friendly service. This time was different. My husband said, "I feel tricked." My husband ordered the triple bacon burger well done with no red in it and fries. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with bacon. His burger arrived bleeding, and my salad showed up, but with not enough contents to fill the bowl. I complained to the server, she took his burger back. We waited 25 minutes for another burger. Our bill was not discounted, and no one came to check on us or see how our experience was. The table behind us had a party of 8 people. They complained that their meal was messed up as well. Their steaks were not cooked correctly, and their drinks were wrong. They however, were lucky enough to have a manager visit their table, apologize, try to make things right, and they even took $30.00 off their bill. None of that happened at our table. Someone at least could have showed a little concern. We were not offered refills, and when I asked for another entree, we were told that only half the grill was working that night, and the items we were interested in could not be cooked. This is pretty much my husband's review. He gave them one star, which he wants to be negative, I would've given them two. I think for the amount we paid (salads aren't cheap these days), I should've had a more substantial salad, and he should've had warm food. I have ate at this Applebee's three times recently and have nothing but good things to say about it. I have been going there right after work on Fort Knox. I do not have to wait but a minute or two for a member of the staff to greet me and ask me where I would like to sit. Right after I sit down I am asked what I would like to drink. Since I can not drink alcohol I usually go for a booth as to the bar. Shortly after that a member of the staff will come by to take my order. I have been trying out the different types of hamburgers they have and they all have been great, I also usually order onion rings with my meal and they are the same, they taste great. Before my glass is 3/4 empty I am brought a fresh glass. The meal completely fills me up so I have not had a chance to try out any of the desserts but they look great. I would also like to mention that this is a perfect location for me. I have nothing to complain about so I plan on continuing dinning there. read more

The place was empty at around 9:45 yet they had to make us wait so they could clean off a table for our party of 8. We stood there by the bar at the entrance way being awkwardly stared at off and on by the bartender who never said anything to us or offered to have us sit there or get us drinks. 10 min later after they pulled out the table from a booth so they could clean it and sweep underneath it, we were seated and greeted by a very nice and helpful waitress. She was the best part of the whole restaurant. She was helpful with the menu and specials and was on the ball with bringing us extra things we needed at the table. Everybody at our table ordered food and drinks at least two different times while we were there and it was never a long wait for food or drinks but the food was sub par. Everybody had something disappointing on their plate. I had a triple bacon burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was served to me with two pieces of bun, burger, not melted cheese and three overly cooked shriveled up pieces of bacon and that was it, no lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions or BBQ sauce which it said that it at least came with. The waitress was very quick to bring me some sauce at least but what a lame burger it was. I would give this place one star but the waitress saved the day here. read more

@Applebees The service here stinks. The service over the past few months has declined. From the customer service to the quality of the food. Even when the place isn't busy it will still take on average 5-10 minutes for someone to acknowledge you, about another 5 before you can get your drinks, and if you had an appetizer it probably take 20 minutes to get it from the time you ordered it. The last time I went the Spinach Artichoke Dip I ordered came out burnt black...and the waitress still put it on my table. I don't even know how it even left the kitchen like that. My food did not arrive until approximately 45 minutes after I ordered it, and the place wasn't busy. My wife also tried to order a few drinks, and the bartender either didn't know how to make it, or the bar claimed they didn't have the ingredients. These drinks were common drinks. When my food came out, my wife's pasta was hard and chewy, very disappointing. I definitely am scratching this place off my list of places to eat. read more

Ok, so I'm going to go ahead and eat my slice of humble pie on this one: dinner was great, service was friendly and the dining room was clean. I have sworn in the past, like many others, to never eat at Applebee's again (due to myriad reasons), but succumbed to the peer pressure of a less-than-picky group of eaters (also, Song's Korean closes at 4 on Saturday). I ordered the cedar chicken and lemon rice entree with fire grilled vegetables; my tablemate ordered the 8oz sirloin because the were out of the 12oz. What arrived at the table was salmon instead of chicken, likely because they have a cedar grilled salmon as well. I love salmon so it wasn't a big deal, but I definitely ordered the chicken. The salmon turned out to be outstanding and the fire grilled vegetables were cooked to perfection and came generously flavored with a tasty garlic butter. The steak came out as ordered and the side of 3 cheese chicken bacon Mac was phenomenal. I will quickly admit that this positive visit was probably a fluke and we got lucky on a night that wasn't busy at a time when the "good cook" was working, but either way, I had a pleasant experience and a tasty meal. Autumn, our server, was quick with refills and a smile and added personality to the meal. Good luck... Hopefully they've changed for the better! read more

Food is not comparable to the price. Cheese sauce for pretzels was more flour than cheese. The fish was grease and the cole slaw was good but serving so small only about three bites and it was gone. Waitress was good but didn't think I was going to be seated waited at hostess station quite awhile. Oh they don't offer a ribeye steak how stupid best most flavorful tender cut next to a filet and it's not on the menu. read more

Ate here for lunch yesterday. The food was terrible. I first ordered the Napa Valley chicken, and the potatoes were so overcooked and dried out that they looked like rocks. The onions were completely raw. The sauce looked like it was just dumped out of a bottle and poured on at the last minute. I asked the server for something else, and ordered the sirloin instead with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The steak was like rubber and the mashed potatoes just tasted like milk and butter. My boyfriend's mac and cheese with chicken tenders was decent. Will not be returning to this restaurant again. read more

A couple years ago the place was great but the more we came the more decline we saw, the last time was this past year, waited over an hour and half with kids and still no food. The place needs to be closed for crappy service!!! And under cooked food!! We came in after shopping and orders was not that difficult to make . 4 salads with soup is not a problem order. We waited over 45 minutes . When we finally got our order the soups were clearly cold and not tasty at all. Our waitress disappeared. The bus boy was clearing the tables down from us and he was more responsive to our issues than our wItress whoNEVER came back. The bus boy went to get her and we finally complained she did offer to get more entrees but by this time we were ready to go .. No manager came out to apologize and we were charged full price on our ticket! I complained about it since we could not even eat the soup and the salad were the size of side salad at McDonalds. Finally they took off the soup but not the salad were charged full price for half salads. Terrible place. It's lucky thing I was only visiting since Radcliff doesn't have much to choose from Applebee's should be afraid of losing any customers. read more

This was one of the very worst experiences my family has ever had eating out. The Applebees in Radcliff advertised a special kids's meal for a Tuesday night and our granddaughter had been wanting to go to Applebee's. We live about 5 minutes from the restaurant and expecting a busy restaurant with the special left our home about 4:40 pm and went straight to the restaurant. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated before 4:45pm. We watched at least 3 groups of people come on and be seated after us and were waited on. We finally went to the kitchen area and asked for a manager. One person came and took our drink order and appetizer order because she said our server was busy. We never saw this person again. Finally the manager had a server bring our drinks as this server stood there with straws in her apron and we finally had to ask for straws. A third person was told our appetizer order and we still had not had the chance to order our entrees. Our 5 year old granddaughter received a large Sprite for her drink instead of a smaller kids size. The manager did try to make our experience better but almost 90 minutes later we finally received our meals. Our daughter in laws salad was not prepared correctly with the dressing. The steak entree was over cooked and the second steak brought out was still over cooked. The manager did take some of the items, drinks, appetizer and salad off our bill but for this service we were very disappointed in our dining experience. To have a two hour experience at an Applebees that was not busy and then to have the food not correct was not expectable. We felt as though the server staff was talking about us and did not even come by to see if we needed drinks or service until our food finally came even though several servers kept walking past our table. If not for the manager's assistance this would not even receive one star. read more
