We paid 6.00 for soups that contained less than a cup of soup. My mother had to send back her "pasta". She got the chicken pasta and it was very bland. Upon arriving to this location, there was a gentleman in an "Applebees" t shirt smoking a bowl directly outside the restaurant. Not a great sign. We were seated immediately, I requested a booth since we had a 3 year old with us. Service was kinda slow but it looked like our waitress had the weight of the entire floor on her so it's fine. Passing through town and staying in the hotel next door. This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Young, and I assume inexperienced bartender (Stormy) gave nothing but attitude from the moment I walked in; I did not feel welcome. She turns her back to us and is clearly agitated, whether or not it was at us I couldn't figure out (or why). A few more minutes go by and she comes up and says, "last call, do you want anything?" I say, yes, I've been trying to order wings. We all get in wing orders and she was for some reason so flustered by having to punch them in that when one of us tried to order a beer, she refused by saying it was past last call. Well, I interjected and explained to her that she didn't give him a chance to order a drink because she cut us off and turned around to her computer before he could even have an opportunity to ask. Well, he decided to cancel his order and leave, which sent this girl on an emotional spiral. At this point she's slamming things down, murmuring to herself, literally sloshing tap beer all over the bar bottles and then stops in the middle of the bar and just starts sobbing, vilifying us to her manager in an all out tantrum. It was nuts! We were never rude to this young lady, never mean. The whole ordeal was honestly very confusing and totally ruined our night. A manager started bringing out our food and when I asked if everything could be made to go (at this point it was closing time and we were so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave), he also gave us an attitude. Very bizarre experience. I would understand if we came in rowdy and rude, but that just simply wasn't the case. I've never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant, ever... and for reasons I just can't figure out. I'd love to know exactly what we did to send this girl off on such an emotional rollercoaster. I did get frustrated by the poor service but I never lost my temper or acted rude. I literally downloaded the Yelp app just to be able to make this review. I walked in and stood at the front of the host stand for about 6 to 7 minutes before anyone even approached me as employees were walking around me aimlessly without even a simple hi or hello. Finally, someone approached me and asked if I planned to dine in and I said yes, and they said how many. Once I exclaimed that I was here alone only for one they said, "oh the bar is up there" and never gave me an option to have a seat at a table or a booth. I disregarded the irritation of the situation and made my way to the bar to sit down. Once I sat myself, I sat at the bar staring at the bartender continuing to try and make eye contact and grab her attention while looking around for literally 20 minutes in complete disbelief of the situation. The bartender was clearly under the influence of some substance, using profanity around families who are trying to enjoy their dinner, as well as other individuals at the bar. She looked at me dead in my eye on multiple occasions then continued to mumble amongst herself and fumble through a stack of receipts. As I sat, beyond appalled of the situation at hand and looked around to see if anyone else was witnessing what I was witnessing, another gentleman walked directly to the front of the bar and complained about her behavior as well as her being under the influence only for management to come out from the back of the restaurant and say "that's just how it is sometimes". The gentlemen was highly upset "respectfully so" and left without ordering. After a total of about 30 minutes, she finally asked me if I was ready to order to which I explained, "I don't know what I would order, you have yet to give me a menu or even take my drink order", only for her stare at me for an uninterrupted 20 seconds of silence and reply with "okay, you don't have to be rude". Mind you there was maybe a total of 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant not to mention a separate server who was tending to them. Needless to say.. I was on a 8+ hour road trip with my dog and stopped to eat here because there is an outdoor seating area. Upon entering the restaurant I was told dogs were not permitted in the outdoor area. I was shocked considering this is a very high traffic area for traveling families to stop and rest. What's the point in outdoor seating if traveling people cannot bring their pets? The menu, thou has alot of the same foods and choices on it, has been changed quite a bit from what it used to be and the prices have went up a bit as well. On some items by 2-3 dollars more. The service that me and my buddy got was just lousy at best. After it took 7 minutes (on average not bad but it wasn't that busy for a saturday at 2pm) then took another 10-15 minutes to get our drink order and appetizer. Took another 10-15 minutes to get our drinks and another 5 minutes after that to get our drinks. So this is how our order went Ordered a nacho to start off with, wasn't shabby. I ordered the burbon street steak which should be steak mashed or loaded mashed potatos steamed veggies and on the steak is sauteed mushrooms and onions, quite a nice meal. Now it comes with steak (which is smaller now and cost 3dollars more) and the 2 sides is cut up red potato's and sauteed mushrooms and onions. I had ordered my steak medium rare and came back well done. Told the server that my steak was over cooked and now another 15-20 minutes go by, my buddy's order was wrong as well but kept his mouth shut (I know why now). Steak still wasn't right and now my little bit of potatos tasted like they used a whole bag of salt on them. Suppose that is their way to prove a point. Been here many times and appetizers and drinks usually alot better, but just expect an adventure when going there and eating. read more

This reminded me of why my family no longer goes to Applebee's. We had problems from the start. My wife tried to order the pick two lunch only to learn they do not have that on Sunday's. No offer from our waitress to modify or try to get something similar for my wife. My wife then asked what the sever had that was vegetarian since she couldn't order the tomato basil soup or Caesar salad she originally wanted. The sever looked confused and finally offered a vegetarian pizza. Our order of vegetarian pizza, two kids Mac and cheese, riblets basket, and my Bruch all day burger took over an hour to get. Then we had all sorts of issues with our food. My wife's vegetarian pizza had congealed cheese, was slimy and greasy, she ate what she did with a fork. My daughters Mac and cheese was cold and chewy. Lastly my Bruch all day burger was burnt, well done and overly dry. The only person at our table who had a decent lunch was my son who had the riblets. I normally would have sent our food back but we had already waited an hour for the first round and didn't want to have to wait any longer. Other things that contributed to this 1 star review. We never got drink refills in almost 90+ mins at the restaurant. Never saw the manager or had someone ask why most of our plates were not eaten. Just here's your check for $50 and have a nice day. We won't be back to this Applebee's or any others in the future. read more
