The lack of management when waitresses or should I say waitress were slammed is unreal. The lack of teamwork is obvious and clear. There was a group sitting next to us that seemed to have a problem with their checks. The waitress had other tables pending like mine waiting almost 40 minutes for a appetizer. Once we got our entrees I immediately noticed my chicken tenders were actually chicken fries and burnt to the point that I needed more dip. The waitress asked me if everything was ok but I could tell she was stressed out. Where is the leadership? At the end who I guess was the manager came out to handle the group table and all she did was scold the waitress to the guests. Unreal. Overall food was 2 out of 10. Such a shame. Came here on a late Sunday night with my mother and we were really hungry. My sugar was dropping and we had to wait quite some time. It seems a few workers called out sick and nobody wanted to fill in on their day off. There were several parties waiting and one of the parties decided to order to-go because the wait was so long. I felt bad for the one person in the kitchen that showed up for work. Also felt bad for the hostess who was doing to-go orders, bussing tables. After about 30 minutes she finally seated us. Bless her. The waitresses were working double time as well. My advice for the GM is HIRE MORE STAFF FOR THE WEEKENDS! Now to enjoy my fiesta lime chicken! Im going to update my review on Applebee's in Plant City, FL. I hope the manager read this and gives it some thought. I will not recommend order to go or order online from this place because its not worth it. This is not my first time ordering and getting a bad result from them. I gave this place a couple of chances giving them the benefit of the doubt in getting thier service better. But they FAILED on 3 attempts. First of, they did not get the order right. They gave us different things and missed some of our drinks. Gave me a burger that was pretty much burned. My wife ordered a shrimp bowl, only to get 2 shrimps in it, really Applebee's? Really? I love to support Local restaurants and spread the word out, but I honestly I have to give my honest opinion about this place. They need to do a better job. Going forward, I will not recommend this place in Plant City unless they change thier service for better. I know Applebee's as a restaurant can do better than that because I have been to other Applebee's that have given great service. So either the employees don't appreciate thier work or the manager doesn't care to provide good service or change the service for the better. Well, It should change. They literally don't care about their customers at all whatsoever. PPS The "6" shrimp that come with this meal ended up being 3 shrimp plus a tail because they didn't want to throw in the amount we paid for... this is the 3rd time they have done this. I am guessing this is the normal shrimp distribution now. Lol it is funny to me that I even have to complain about it. So embarrassing that I even have to mention it!!!! I just won't give this store my business anymore. There are plenty other restaurants to choose from thank goodness. I was craving a Blondie SO bad, and I knew Applebee's had one on the menu. So we decided to go grab dinner on a week night around 7pm. First of all, I must say I'm an introvert, so I hate dealing with crowds. Even at dinner time, it wasn't too busy here at all! So we were super comfortable during our visit! We have a 5 year old, and appreciated the fact that our waiter was really patient with us the entire time. Our food was brought out to us fairly quickly, but smoothly. What I mean by that is- we had our appetizer. All of it. Right after we were finished with our appetizer, they brought our entrees. Perfect timing! No rushing to finish the app before the entree gets cold! I got the oriental chicken wrap, and it was tasty. I really enjoyed the dressing it came with. It had a nice flavor that you could pour on everything! I didn't really like the crunchy noodles on it though, as they are kind of hard! I ordered the blondie for dessert as planned, and it hit the spot! Overall, the experience was a great one & I look forward to eating at this location again! read more

Friday night August 11, 2023, my husband and i went to Applebee's giving it one last shot for boneless wings. The restaurant WAS NOT CROWDED. No one was at the hostess desk and finally a young man came over and seated us. We ordered our food, and waited about 30 minutes. Finally food arrived, cold french fries were cold, and boneless wings were tasteless, the ranch dressing was watered down. We ordered sweet tea, Hubbys was correct mine was unsweet, and not even cold. We have avoided Applebees for some time because of the food, but decided to give it one last time.. NEVER AGAIN. However, we still tipped out 20%, because the server did not cook the food, although the service was slow. Perhaps when you advertise on national TV, it would be a good idea to make sure the product is worth its weight. read more

My family eaten here numerous times. We went there to spent some time with some of the family. I didn't realize how much time we're going to spend with them. Tonight was the worst. It took forever for our food to arrive. When it did start coming in they brought 2 meals (out of 7). Minutes later they brought out 4 more. So two weeks later, we decided to give Applebee's another chance, mainly because I had $31 left on the gift card. It was not any better. I ordered cheese bites and loaded mashed potatoes loaded mashed potatoes were good although lukewarm, cheese bites were greasy and taste of my dirty, grease and lukewarm. My husband ordered the classic combo the wings for dried out in cold, the tortilla chips for greasy and oversleep salty, the cheese sticks tasted like dirty grease and the little tortillas were cold and greasy. Kyra & Chad are the bartenders & they wait tables in the bar. we have met many people there & there are 5 tables that gather there every Monday. That alone speaks for itself. Tonight my daughter (21) and myself went to Applebee's for a quick meal. The restaurant was not busy at all maybe half full. She ordered a chicken Mac and cheese bacon bowl and I had a steak with baked potato and garlic green beans. After about 45 minutes our food came out, the plates were hot our food was not we seen our waitress 2 times in the almost 2 hours we where there. I recently worked at this location from November up until Saturday when our new entitled manager Stacy decided to put it upon herself to leave me without a job. Why? because I was worried about getting food out to my table who had been waiting on their food for about 26 minutes at the time and had 2 little kids starving, but I was getting rudely demanded to go to a table that just sat down and didn't even have time to open their menus. Keep in mind I had been there since 11 a.m. and it's now almost 8 p.m. With that being said, I previously put my 2 weeks in due to poor management and the dirtiness of this specific location. Flys and roaches everywhere. I have killed so many roaches that pop out behind the computer just simply trying to put someone's order in. There's always dead gnats and flies in the ice bin so if you've ever found a fly in your drink that would be why. The cooks don't use gloves, they're back there handling your food with their bare hands. You send your food back because they cooked it wrong? You're getting dogged out by the cooks secretly. I've had a customer find a worm in their fish and chips (long white worm) which made me not even eat our food anymore. Customer service is gonna be poor if you don't get lucky enough to be put with the right server. Your silverware is getting ran through and wiped down with a rag that's been used on hundreds of silverware to "dry" them meanwhile a rag with all the left over residue from other pieces of silverware is now drying the "clean" silverware. Not usually the one to write reviews period, or go after a place i previously worked at but in my years of working i have NEVER experienced a place like this. Cooperate has been contacted by multiple employees about this location specifically and nothing has been done and nothing will be done. So enjoy your roach invested local Applebee's. I have been coming to this Applebee's ever since it opened a number of years ago. I stopped coming recently because the food was terrible and the service was abysmal. Last evening, a group of six friends and myself decided to give it one more try since the location was convenient to where each of us was traveling. We we very pleasantly surprised. The server, Leah, was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely efficient. Our food came very quickly, was hot, cooked to perfection and was delicious. Leah kept our glasses filled, empty dishes removed and even brought plates of hot French fries for us as our original orders were depleted.
