Tonight we ventured over to Applebee's for a late lunch/early dinner. We waited for about 5 minutes to be seated. The bartender actually came from behind the bar and sat us. We ordered the Wonton Chicken Tacos as an appetizer, and Quesadilla Chicken Salad, Sweet Tea and Dr. Pepper. My friend had never had the Wonton Chicken Taco's and really enjoyed them. The Quesadilla Chicken Salad had a good flavor and was filling. Our only problem with the meal was the drinks. The sweet tea was not sweet and the Dr. Pepper was flat. Other than that our meal was quite enjoyable. The restaurant was quite enough where we could talk and the music was loud enough that people couldn't overhear conversations. We arrived here with a party of 7 at 818pm was told it would be a 10 to 15 min wait! Got seated in booth with 7 people and one of our people is physically disable! they sat a party of 5 at a bigger table which clearly should have been switched! We then met our waitress, we placed our drink orders along With our apps and entrees... we did not receive our drinks (Which we all ordered waters) for close to 30 mins when we had to ask for them! Some time later (several mins later) we asked about our apps because they still hadnt been brought out... then they magically appeared at this point close to an hour after we were seated! She then says she will make it right and continued to apologize etc... she proceeded to say she would be sure to comp the meals! Finally we get our entrees over 1 1/2 since we first sat down and one entree was incorrect the others were... well Just ok. We finally asked for the check so we could leave and the manager comped us a whole $5 on each check which the party of 7 was split in to 2 checks... one check with 2 people and the other check with 5! Food was tough to eat, rice was not cooked still hard. My husband ordered wings all he got was tips. No drum stick wings. Fries he got were soggy. I don't Know what's going on but we need a place to get food that is not all Mexican type food. Don't order a steak if that's what you want. Came here for the Super Bowl. What a disappointment. It took them about five minutes to realize that I was sitting at the bar even after bartender came right by me to ring up someone else. I ordered the Salmon with 2 sides. The mash potatoes looked like it was from a box, the cold slaw was brought in a little to go container, not even an ounce! And it was translucent and tasted old! I would not recommend coming here. They are not managed well at all. The food isn't worth the trouble or the cost. It took a long time to get our waters and sweet tea, then it took a long time to get our appetizers. We hadn't finished our appetizers before our food came. Three people in our group ordered steaks. I haven't been in Tennessee for about a year. Come back to see my mom and stepdad for the holidays. I don't really have steak but I wanted to try something different. The steak wasn't cooked to my liking so I want to thank the host for being it back to kitchen with no hesitation. I wish I got his name so I can properly thank him in this. But anyways he was amazing. My brother didn't like the sauce on the chicken tenders, he got it just to try it out and again the host come in and fixed up our issue. It's been a couple years since I have been to this Applebee's and let's be real, Applebee's in general isn't that great to begin, but this one, come on now. We were sat at the first booth to the left when you come in the door. We were sitting in the dark because is there is no light at that booth. The wall was disgusting. I have no idea what was all over it, but ugh nasty. I just got a soup and salad. The salad was lacking to say the least and the soup tasted like it came out of a can. One of our group ordered something expecting it to be similar to a Mac and Cheese dish with chicken as it was described...it was Alfredo. This honestly expected from this location. The managers have always been ill equipped to manage and it shows. The only reason it isn't a one star is because our waitress was very sweet. read more

Very disappointed in the service. I came in alone and no one was at front to assign seating. After a short wait I asked a server if I could sit at the bar. She said certainly. There was one other customer eating at the bar and maybe 20 people in the entire restaurant. I waited for over 5 minutes as servers came and went in the bar area and around the bar area. I finally asked if I could see a menu and was given one. She asked what I wanted to drink. After another 5 minute wait i looked around to see if they were short on servers. Quite the contrary. There were at least three providing service and another 4 standing in a corner talking. She finally brought my tea. I asked if I could order and another server said certainly. I ordered a burger. After 20 minutes I told the server to cancel the order and said I wanted to pay for my tea. She said ok so I paid for my tea and as I was walking out another server came up to me with a bag and said I could take my order free. I declined and left. I have always had good service at Applebee's in the past and had just moved here from out of state. Unfortunately I won't be returning to the McMinnville store. read more

First off I will start by saying my wife and I had no issues in getting seated,getting our order taken, and recieving our food or the quality of our food, but when it comes to getting a refill (my mouth felt like it had a wad of cotton in it because it was so dry), a waiter back to our table (the cooks brought out food out so we didnt see him after our order), or getting our check (thought about walking out but didn't know if it was illegal)well good luck! We are from McMinnville but haven't been here in awhile. We gave it another shot today for Fathers Day to try a steak as this town has limited options. The steak was seasoned fair, we waited a very long time outside due to social distance rules but they weren't very busy. We waited a VERY LONG time for food. Waitress provided reasonable service. McMinnville's biggest and likely it's most popular restaurant, I've been here my fair share of times. After trying a number of different items on the menu (I've been trying new things almost every visit), I find I'm partial to the crispy chicken salad, the shrimp plates and the nachos...mmm!
