Where have I been all this time. No one told me anything about this Dollarita deal all of July!!! One dollar margaritas is a steal and all day long!! :-) I also had the salmon, mashed potatoes, and broccoli and everything was delicious. It's a simple meal but you wouldn't believe how many people would mess it up. The margaritas were decently strong as well, flavors could be added for 50 cent. Lot parking and the restaurant wasn't too busy. It was a good time. Be sure to check it out before the end of July! Cheers~ read more

I will say, the bartender took roughly 35 minutes to finally make our drinks, BUT our server Roxanne was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! She was so sweet, attentive, kind to our crazy toddler, and overall had the BEST vibe to her! we will be coming back to become Roxanne's regulars because she made our stressful chaotic date night amazing! thank you SO MUCH ROXANNE M. Oh and the food was phenomenal! Tasted great! read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - Amazing food!! - Burgers Near Me - La Plata, Maryland

Probably the worst experience we've ever had. We were not seated without silverware and were told they were out of side plates. Had to eat our appetizers off of napkins provided by the server. We had to get up and grab the silverware from the host stand ourselves. Dirty plates left on tables everywhere through out the restaurant. Absolutely terrible experience. I'm surprised they're still open. read more

My grandmother swears that she's never been to Applebee's, so I just decided to take her. We went around 3 PM and unfortunately there was a staffing issue and or our waitress was fairly new. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes for her to initially introduce herself, and bring waters, so we knew right away that we should just put in our order, we decided to do the 1499 per person, bottomless boneless wings, ribs and shrimp. Additionally, I tried the spiked lemonade, and my grandmother decided to try a Mocktail. The drinks were pretty good, but the food, did not look anything like the pictures unfortunately. The shrimp picture pictured in the flyer and on the commercials seem to be golf and or large shrimp. However, the shrimp provided were basic popcorn, shrimp, the garlic, Parmesan, boneless chicken, taste it fairly well however, the presentation was rushed and lastly, the ribs, or "ribets" as they call them.... Reminded me of dog food. I, I saw, I ate... I do not think I will be back. Their late night happy hour maybe the only reason I return . read more

The really big meal deal was awesome! I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was great. We had great service too. I was shocked how few people were there during the lunch hour. I definitely suggest the restaurant get some new carpet and do a deep clean. It just seemed old and dingy. read more

This is the second time in a row that I've come here and left very dissatisfied. The first time I ordered a steak and I ordered it medium it came out, medium rare with pools of blood around it so very unappetizing. I asked them to just cancel the order and I left. Came back again today, thinking they couldn't really get it wrong with the mushroom and Swiss burger until my mushroom and Swiss burger came out with 4 mushrooms and loaded with onions. There were literally four. I waited for them to bring me mushrooms for 15 minutes while everything else on the plate got cold and the server was slow and unhelpful. I asked for a manager and waited another 10 minutes and I finally just left. Not to mention I ordered mashed potatoes with it that had a piece of broccoli stuck inside. Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. I do not recommend this place at all. They're not good at resolving issues and their kitchen Staff is clearly a mess. And obviously their servers are very poorly trained. read more

The server personality was nice but unfortunately no utensil available for the table no napkins after requesting some we were given plastic forks. The food took a little more than an hour to come out the kitchen ask for medium steak and they serve a well-done. The lighting was terrible because the table had only one light bulb working.. overall I disappointed at my experience at this restaurant. read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - Sad - Burgers Near Me - La Plata, Maryland

This place is a major disappointment. Ordering food and getting what you ordered seem to be the hardest thing for these people and this establishment to achieve. I ordered a Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss - on an IMPOSSIBLE PATTY. Nothing about my order was right expect the patty which I'm uncertain about (glad I didn't eat it) and the fries. My order came the sandwich was DRY with no Swiss. No Bourbon sauce and No Swiss when I asked about the Swiss it was brought to me cold on a plate. I will NEVER waste my time stopping here again. I should have taken pictures of my dish and the other dish ordered read more

I have been going to Applebees in LaPlata for years, and everything was fine. However, the last two summers have been terrible. The service has been good, but NO AIR CONDITION in the bar area. This has caused a lot of regulars to stop coming to Applebees. read more

Excellent service by Shannon G! The whole experience was pleasant from being greeted at the door to enjoying my meal!

We finally returned to Applebee's since my last review. This is an update to the previous. And yes, I removed a star. I understand that as social distancing starts to fade, this will be a challenging transition for many who have become very used to having a relatively empty dining room. However, our visit yesterday was just disappointing. And it's a shame, because they're dining area wasn't even full. When they sat us down, our server told us that he'd bring us out silverware in a few minutes, because they'd run out of clean utensils. We didn't mind, thinking we'd have them for appetizers. But by the time our classic combo came out, we still had no utensils, no plates, and no napkins. A bit hard to eat boneless wings without napkins or utensils when you don't know if your company will have a problem with you licking your fingers and then grabbing more food. And I was certainly not going to rub my hands onto my clothes. Well, we snacked for a while and the food was good, as usual. Our entrees came out, and still NO utensils or napkins. And my entree was missing a side as well. I let the server know, but he'd never brought it out by the time we'd left. My husband also ordered a shark bowl, which is supposed to have shark gummies in it, but there were none. We sat there for about 40 minutes (after we'd already finished eating) waiting for a server to pass by so we could ask for the check. The server was a nice person, so we did not want to tip them less than 18%, despite the issues we experienced. It's safe to say we will not be returning to this location. read more

It's been a long, long time since I've had such a bad experience like this. We fell for the Super Bowl promotion touting All You Can Eat boneless wings, fried shrimp, and Riblets. 2 hours later and we just gave up on our second order. The drinks had no liquor in them, the service was embarrassing for all involved, and the food came out cold. Yes, cold! Wtf! Just close if it is this friggin hard! read more

Okay, so the food isn't the best, and neither inside the restaurant. It's worn down and dingy, BUT we had an awesome waiter. Steven was super sweet and attentive! He brought out my sons food earlier than our which we appreciated because anyone with little ones know how hard it is to keep them entertained while waiting on food haha! Either way, Steven, did an awesome job and his service! Great job Steven read more

Service was non existent. Sat down near the bar and the bartender had her eyes so far into her phone, she didn't even acknowledge me for at least 5 minutes. I was pretty much the only patron in the area during lunch. At this point I was bewildered given that she was 15 feet away, I wanted to see how long it would last. Another 5 minutes went by. I spent 10 minutes in plain view and not one word was spoken to me. No drink, whether I had any questions, nothing. I left without them knowing I was even there. Get off your phone while working, you're like 60 years old, you should know better. read more

I just got back from Applebee's. I went there an ordered wings and a beer this was supposed to be happy hour and half off (after 9). Well my beer was 5.00 not 3.00 as on the menu. And the half priced wings were 15 or 16.99 ... oh sorry only the bone out ones are half price... This is my first and last time coming here. I'm stopping in while killing time waiting on a patient in surgery and no sooner after my food arrives, here comes a family...and their big DOG! Come on, a dog in a restaurant is just plain nasty, unsanitary, and should be illegal. I get that some include their "fur babies" as a part of their family, but the line should be drawn and boundaries should exclude animals from restaurants. Then they had the audacity to sit another family right in the adjacent booth with the dog at their heads! SMH....#DISGUSTED read more

1st of all, I'm kicking myself for even coming here. The waiter started off the conversation with, if you want a drink from bar it's going to take minute cause the bartender is busy. (1st red flag) It wasn't busy at all and the bartender was talking but okay. So I ordered one anyway, he brings the drink to the table and didn't pour it in the glass from the shaker, (2nd red flag) should have gotten up and left then. That's it for this review... read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - Burgers Near Me - La Plata, Maryland

Let's start by saying that I do like Applebee's food...just not today. I like ordering online and their page is good for this, do it works great for me. Today I completed my order as usual, headed to the restaurant to pay for it and wait. Server was nice, processed my payment without hiccups and I waited. At the promised time what I thought was my order was given to me. Well, as I was walking out I felt something was missing, when I checked all containers one was missing, the $4.99 loaded potato soup...I went back in, waiting patiently for someone to be available, same server came back, I showed him the order and he brought back the missing soup. I honestly could had been better off by buying a can of Progresso soup, actually about 3-4 cans for the same price and be satisfied. Container was dirty outside, soup looked too "liquid" for a potato soup...and at the end I couldn't even eat it because no spoon was provided ugh Next the chicken wonton tacos were missing the coleslaw and I honestly think I was missing one. My mom's dinner was missing the pico de Gallo and my son's fries tasted different...not a pleasant experience today which is a shame since I seriously like their food . Oh, and I even tipped on my online order. ‍ read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - Loads d Potato Soup???? - Burgers Near Me - La Plata, Maryland

Don't go in to eat!!! Facts. iNSTEAD, Order curbside. Save your patience and your eyes. I stick to what I know will be good. The wonton chicken tacos, garlicky string beans, wings (dry and bone-in), kids Mac and cheese, and broccoli. I admit the service is slow and the restaurant could use some consistent cleaning. Their curbside has not disappointed or made me sick, thank you Jesus. The management has definitely changed and gone down but these days I reallly blame the lack of teaching of customer service and cleanliness all around on everyone. young and old. Parents, teachers your kids the value of looking good, taking pride in your work, and servant leadership to all they encounter!! Money will come! At the rate of inflation and cost of living increasing, great customer service is becoming non existent. BUT, good people will pay for timely and authentically great customer service. Hardworking people should not be a thing of the past. read more

I saw the Applebee's worker emptying mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli out of a plastic bag. I asked them what dishes or sides are made fresh and not in a plastic bag, they could not give me an answer. Which means most of the sides if not all are microwaved in a plastic bag. read more

My family and I went to lunch today and had a horrific experience at this location! Should have walked out when we first stepped foot inside when it smelled like old musty bar towels however we stayed. We sat at a high top in the bar and in the corner of the bar there were employees sitting, guessing on break. Employees should NEVER sit out in public setting on break for one, let alone be swearing and bitching about how much they hate their job for all patrons to hear! All while having chick-fil-a take out! One of the servers I watched grab a cigarette, go outside and smoke, come in and take care of a table, grab dirty dishes and place them on the "clean" table next to where she was, then grab them and walk away! The said table is now dirty however it was never cleaned and she is still yet to wash her hands. She proceeded to grab a used empty soda glass, go to the bar fill it with soda, sneeze into it and bring it to the table and serve it! I have never in my life been so disgusted! I will NEVER return! Between listening and watching employees be so vulgar while on break while sitting with customers to the disgusting cross contamination and lack of hand washing I have to speak up. Customers are going to get sick. I couldn't even keep my lunch down thinking about what's happening in the kitchen behind closed doors if the wait staff displayed this lack of cleanliness. This place should be shut down! read more

stop today for lunch waitress was rude taking our order i asked about what was facebook and advertising on tv about all you can eat wings, ribs, shrimp she was nasty and said we don't control facebook or tv ads so we order something else ask for napkins as none where on table our appetizer came asked for napkins again still none given to us our entrees came out asked for napkins again refill drink orders came she spilt the drinks on the table and allover my leg still had no napkins finally the manager came over with napkins to clean up mess and apologize. will never go back there again. read more

The food was ok but the customer service towards the bathroom was unacceptable I had to use the bathroom and there was poop all over the toilet seat I asked for someone to clean it and the guys really did not want to clean it so I got management to come deal with it and they had a whole attitude towards me when they should have done something about it in the first place this will be the last time I come here. read more

Two stars for a nice and friendly guy for the waiter. There were soooo many flies at our table and the tables around us. We could hear others complaining as well. I recently ate at the LaPlata's Applebee's and I was extremely disappointed. The food was really good but the reason I'm giving two stars was because of the service. My sister and I was seated and were forgotten. We saw the server in that area go to every table but ours. Twenty minutes went by and the manager finally came up asking us what we wanted to drink and said the server would be with us shortly. After a while the server never came and he had to come take our order ten minutes later. After our appetizers came our server finally came. She was extremely nice but I don't believe she was supposed to be our original server. Either way it was totally unacceptable how we were treated and I don't think I'll be coming back to this location. read more

I generally like Applebee's food, but not today. First off, the number of flies in the restaurant was absolutely ridiculous. After asking my waitress to be relocated to another area with fewer flies, I was moved to a table where I and my guest only had to take a swipe at a few flies during our meal. After all of that, the best part of my lunch was a glass of Sprite. My steak had no flavor and the potatoes were overcooked. Today's experience is a bad representation of Applebee's, but I don't intend to go back any time soon. read more

I loved my past few trips here! It's under new management and has gotten better each time I came here. Great servers, fast service and if I do have an issue the managers there have been GREAT!!! Applebee's Grill + Bar - Burgers Near Me - La Plata, Maryland

We decided to try this place for lunch. I got the fish and chips and my wife got a burger and fries. She liked the burger and the fish and chips was pretty good. I didn't like that my meal included coleslaw, which I don't like, and I was not allowed to substitute it for something else. We decided to order the chimy-cheesecake for dessert, after eating it we both agreed it was not worth the money. All in all, the meal was pretty good. Unfortunately, the bill with tip came to $60 for lunch, this was a little higher then it was worth. So because of this I doubt we will go again. read more

Bad food, bad management, waste of time and money. My steak was ordered medium rare. It was sent back to be cooked more and even after it was sent back it still looked as raw as blue rare steak. The replacement steak was probably rarer than the first one. At this point, I gave up trying to have a meal. The steak wasn't done, the bite I had was tasteless, tough, and gristly. Disgusting! When asked to speak with a manager, she came over. I explained what happened, she had a couldn't care less attitude and replied she wouldn't charge me for my meal and it was "ok" to eat the sides (acting like she was doing me a favor). Are you kidding me?!?! You'd better not charge me for a meal after REPEATED attempts to have them correct THEIR error in cooking you think I'm going to pay for it?!?!?! Needless to say, I left without a meal, still hungry, and extremely upset. I'm tired of restaurants feeling like their customers don't deserve a good meal. We work hard for our money and don't need to be treated like crap and pay for it. read more
