This is the second time in a row that I've come here and left very dissatisfied. The first time I ordered a steak and I ordered it medium it came out, medium rare with pools of blood around it so very unappetizing. I asked them to just cancel the order and I left. Came back again today, thinking they couldn't really get it wrong with the mushroom and Swiss burger until my mushroom and Swiss burger came out with 4 mushrooms and loaded with onions. There were literally four. I waited for them to bring me mushrooms for 15 minutes while everything else on the plate got cold and the server was slow and unhelpful. I asked for a manager and waited another 10 minutes and I finally just left. Not to mention I ordered mashed potatoes with it that had a piece of broccoli stuck inside. Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. I do not recommend this place at all. They're not good at resolving issues and their kitchen Staff is clearly a mess. My grandmother swears that she's never been to Applebee's, so I just decided to take her. We went around 3 PM and unfortunately there was a staffing issue and or our waitress was fairly new. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes for her to initially introduce herself, and bring waters, so we knew right away that we should just put in our order, we decided to do the 1499 per person, bottomless boneless wings, ribs and shrimp. Additionally, I tried the spiked lemonade, and my grandmother decided to try a Mocktail. The drinks were pretty good, but the food, did not look anything like the pictures unfortunately. The shrimp picture pictured in the flyer and on the commercials seem to be golf and or large shrimp. However, the shrimp provided were basic popcorn, shrimp, the garlic, Parmesan, boneless chicken, taste it fairly well however, the presentation was rushed and lastly, the ribs, or "ribets" as they call them.... I have been going to Applebees in LaPlata for years, and everything was fine. However, the last two summers have been terrible. The service has been good, but NO AIR CONDITION in the bar area. This has caused a lot of regulars to stop coming to Applebees. read more

The server personality was nice but unfortunately no utensil available for the table no napkins after requesting some we were given plastic forks. The food took a little more than an hour to come out the kitchen ask for medium steak and they serve a well-done. The lighting was terrible because the table had only one light bulb working.. overall I disappointed at my experience at this restaurant. read more

I ordered a Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss - on an IMPOSSIBLE PATTY. Nothing about my order was right expect the patty which I'm uncertain about (glad I didn't eat it) and the fries. We finally returned to Applebee's since my last review. This is an update to the previous. And yes, I removed a star. I understand that as social distancing starts to fade, this will be a challenging transition for many who have become very used to having a relatively empty dining room. However, our visit yesterday was just disappointing. And it's a shame, because they're dining area wasn't even full. When they sat us down, our server told us that he'd bring us out silverware in a few minutes, because they'd run out of clean utensils. We didn't mind, thinking we'd have them for appetizers. But by the time our classic combo came out, we still had no utensils, no plates, and no napkins. A bit hard to eat boneless wings without napkins or utensils when you don't know if your company will have a problem with you licking your fingers and then grabbing more food. And I was certainly not going to rub my hands onto my clothes. Well, we snacked for a while and the food was good, as usual. Our entrees came out, and still NO utensils or napkins. And my entree was missing a side as well. I let the server know, but he'd never brought it out by the time we'd left. My husband also ordered a shark bowl, which is supposed to have shark gummies in it, but there were none. We sat there for about 40 minutes (after we'd already finished eating) waiting for a server to pass by so we could ask for the check. I just got back from Applebee's. I went there an ordered wings and a beer this was supposed to be happy hour and half off (after 9). Well my beer was 5.00 not 3.00 as on the menu. And the half priced wings were 15 or 16.99 ... oh sorry only the bone out ones are half price... Let's start by saying that I do like Applebee's food...just not today. I like ordering online and their page is good for this, do it works great for me. Today I completed my order as usual, headed to the restaurant to pay for it and wait. Server was nice, processed my payment without hiccups and I waited. At the promised time what I thought was my order was given to me. Well, as I was walking out I felt something was missing, when I checked all containers one was missing, the $4.99 loaded potato soup...I went back in, waiting patiently for someone to be available, same server came back, I showed him the order and he brought back the missing soup. I honestly could had been better off by buying a can of Progresso soup, actually about 3-4 cans for the same price and be satisfied. Container was dirty outside, soup looked too "liquid" for a potato soup...and at the end I couldn't even eat it because no spoon was provided ugh Next the chicken wonton tacos were missing the coleslaw and I honestly think I was missing one. My mom's dinner was missing the pico de Gallo and my son's fries tasted different...not a pleasant experience today which is a shame since I seriously like their food . Don't go in to eat!!! Facts. iNSTEAD, Order curbside. Save your patience and your eyes. I stick to what I know will be good. The wonton chicken tacos, garlicky string beans, wings (dry and bone-in), kids Mac and cheese, and broccoli. I admit the service is slow and the restaurant could use some consistent cleaning. Their curbside has not disappointed or made me sick, thank you Jesus. The management has definitely changed and gone down but these days I reallly blame the lack of teaching of customer service and cleanliness all around on everyone. young and old. Parents, teachers your kids the value of looking good, taking pride in your work, and servant leadership to all they encounter!! Money will come! My family and I went to lunch today and had a horrific experience at this location! Should have walked out when we first stepped foot inside when it smelled like old musty bar towels however we stayed. We sat at a high top in the bar and in the corner of the bar there were employees sitting, guessing on break. Employees should NEVER sit out in public setting on break for one, let alone be swearing and bitching about how much they hate their job for all patrons to hear! All while having chick-fil-a take out! One of the servers I watched grab a cigarette, go outside and smoke, come in and take care of a table, grab dirty dishes and place them on the "clean" table next to where she was, then grab them and walk away! The said table is now dirty however it was never cleaned and she is still yet to wash her hands. She proceeded to grab a used empty soda glass, go to the bar fill it with soda, sneeze into it and bring it to the table and serve it! I have never in my life been so disgusted! I will NEVER return! Between listening and watching employees be so vulgar while on break while sitting with customers to the disgusting cross contamination and lack of hand washing I have to speak up. Customers are going to get sick. I couldn't even keep my lunch down thinking about what's happening in the kitchen behind closed doors if the wait staff displayed this lack of cleanliness. The food was ok but the customer service towards the bathroom was unacceptable I had to use the bathroom and there was poop all over the toilet seat I asked for someone to clean it and the guys really did not want to clean it so I got management to come deal with it and they had a whole attitude towards me when they should have done something about it in the first place this will be the last time I come here. read more

This is a great spot to hang out with friends or coworkers. Great drinks, appetizers and desserts. Great atmosphere and the service was awesome. Before my cup was low they were asking or bringing me another. They had some great music playing in the background. Not to loud...just right for hanging out! I recently ate at the LaPlata's Applebee's and I was extremely disappointed. The food was really good but the reason I'm giving two stars was because of the service. My sister and I was seated and were forgotten. We saw the server in that area go to every table but ours. Twenty minutes went by and the manager finally came up asking us what we wanted to drink and said the server would be with us shortly. After a while the server never came and he had to come take our order ten minutes later. After our appetizers came our server finally came. She was extremely nice but I don't believe she was supposed to be our original server. I generally like Applebee's food, but not today. First off, the number of flies in the restaurant was absolutely ridiculous. After asking my waitress to be relocated to another area with fewer flies, I was moved to a table where I and my guest only had to take a swipe at a few flies during our meal. After all of that, the best part of my lunch was a glass of Sprite. My steak had no flavor and the potatoes were overcooked. We decided to try this place for lunch. I got the fish and chips and my wife got a burger and fries. She liked the burger and the fish and chips was pretty good. I didn't like that my meal included coleslaw, which I don't like, and I was not allowed to substitute it for something else. We decided to order the chimy-cheesecake for dessert, after eating it we both agreed it was not worth the money. All in all, the meal was pretty good. Bad food, bad management, waste of time and money. My steak was ordered medium rare. It was sent back to be cooked more and even after it was sent back it still looked as raw as blue rare steak. The replacement steak was probably rarer than the first one. At this point, I gave up trying to have a meal. The steak wasn't done, the bite I had was tasteless, tough, and gristly. Disgusting! When asked to speak with a manager, she came over. I explained what happened, she had a couldn't care less attitude and replied she wouldn't charge me for my meal and it was "ok" to eat the sides (acting like she was doing me a favor). Are you kidding me?!?! You'd better not charge me for a meal after REPEATED attempts to have them correct THEIR error in cooking you think I'm going to pay for it?!?!?! What an awful experience. I went with the family to Apple Bee's for dinner, we were seated right away, and drink orders was placed. Overall as you can see things appear to be going great!! The building itself look newer, there was a ton of staff running around bringing food, and drinks to tables. So things look great, until we placed our order. We placed our order 2 Oriental chicken salad, 1 kids grilled cheese, 1 kid chicken tenders, and 2 orders of boneless Buffalo wings. Wings came out right away, but the other food did not. We received 1 order of the oriental chicken salad. 20 min later we received 1 kid's grilled cheese. We attempted to get our servers attention to ask where the rest of our food was, but he was too busy running around helping other tables. To speed things up, we did not get all our food and a full hour had lapsed. Our server final comes over to see how we were doing, that is when I explain we are still missing food items. He quickly runs to the back to check on the rest of our order and informs me that our order got mixed up with another table, and they are making it right away. I was doing my best to stay professional, and I requested for to go boxes along with the missing food items. The server informs me he will talk to the manager on what happen to see if he can make changes to our bill. Manager wanted nothing to do with me, or to apologize. The server then tells me, he will get another manager the assistant to help with bill and to apologize. The assistant manager did come out to apologize and took off the appetizer for me. Good gesture, but way too late. I will not visit this establishment again. 1star is well worth it. read more

I stopped by the La Plata for lunch. Unfortunately, I didn't stay. The parking lot was littered with beer bottles, liquor bottles food containers and cigarettes. The ashtrays outside the doors were overflowing. If the outside was that filthy I had concerns about the inside. You should clean your parking lot before opening. read more
