I was belittled and humiliated by the manager today. Now I see why they are closing. I was told I could have the 10 by 8 inch picture of my son's baseball team that was hanging over in the corner by the bathroom. I signed up for it and took it yesterday. Today I was confronted by two managers that they were going to have me arrested if i didn't return the picture. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They said there general manager told them to call the police if it wasn't returned. Let me remind everyone this is a very small picture hidden over in the corner of the bathroom that I signed to get. The picture frame may be worth $5.00 at most. I won't even get in to the fact that I have been by far their best customer over the years. WOW is all I can say. I'm embarrassed for Applebees. read more

Went with my friends and was pleasantly surprised. We were seated pretty quickly, and the waitress was very polite and professional. We did wait a little long to get our order taken, but it was pretty busy, and after that everything was quick and surprisingly delicious. We first started with the mozzarella sticks and the spinach dip. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good, but the spinach dip was absolutely delicious. Shortly afterward, my bacon cheeseburger came out, and I have to say that it was really good. The burger was cooked perfectly, the bacon was crisp, the cheese was delicious, and the french fries were amazing. If there was any complaint, I would say that the fries had a little too much salt on them, but beside that everything was really great. I know this place gets a bad rap because it's a chain restaurant, and I also have had bad experiences in the past, but this time around was a really great time, with great food, and I would be happy to go back again. Again what we do is read more

Let's just say I was truly hoping to count. This is a better experience than I've had at her Applebee's unfortunately, it was not. Let's start with the ambience when we first got there we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who brought us to a booth to sit down, and when he tried to sit down, the table almost fell over because it wobbles so much, and we were unable to sit at that table because of this fact, and we moved across the way to a regular table with some chairs. During that time the sun was out and was very bright, so it was very bright in the area where we were sitting. I noticed and took a picture of the TVs that you see they were not working they advertise this being a NFL station basically meaning that you see your NFL package but yet the TV isn't working if you also look in the picture I had to turn and look down the side into the bar area in order for me to see a picture or a TV that was working. As it got darker, I noticed that it got really dark and I looked up and I noticed that the light did not work it was out. We were completely in the dark, not one person, waitress or waiter that came to our table. acknowledge the fact that we were sitting in complete darkness. I asked for a manager the general manager came out and only gave me excuses not even saying that he was sorry and just walked away. The food was OK I was not very impressed with what we got as far as it goes because the chicken was very hard almost like it was over cooked and they give you these little cups for the dipping sauce. You have to ask for another sauce in order to have enough to even get through the first order . I had boneless chicken wings. My wife had trouble eating hers as well, but managed to get through it. We had the all you can eat chicken wings, and could not even finish our second plate. Overall, the waiters and waitresses happen to be the best part of the service because they did do their best to try to make the experience good. Would I go back unfortunately no but I wouldn't ever recommend that no one go there. I suggest you try it for yourself if you're in the area and hopefully you have a different experience than what we had. Thank you so much for listening. read more

Ordered our drink as soon as we sat down. Bartender on duty(Cassandra) could have made them right away she wasn't busy at the bar. Our waiter asked her to make them and she just ignored the request. Was told by our waiter they were changing bartenders. He was very courteous not blaming him at all. Waiter (Gianni) was fabulous One star due to bartender. 4 stars for bartender read more

The service was fine and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the riblet platter. The ribs were acceptable, but definitely not how I remembered them. The fries were tasty but cold. The restaurant was not busy at all so a little confused as to why food would be cold. My fiancé's prime rib dip was good but he agreed about the fries. In my opinion this was not a meal worth 40.00 including tip. Maybe in today's economy good help may be hard to find. Hopefully can give them another shot at a later date. read more

So I'll start by saying I know it's Applebees and I wasn't expecting fantastic but we were in a time crunch and our son works close. I will also say the hostess was nice, dressed well, and friendly. The place looked very clean including the bathrooms. Also our server was attentive and did an outstanding job. So for the food. It was okay. Not great but it came quickly and was hot. The beer was cold and the glasses were chilled. In all the food was a three but the workers attitude, the cleanliness, and service all made the visit enjoyable. To the manager of this Applebees your team did well good job leading! read more

Pretty sure this food poisoned me. Got the unlimited chicken wings. Not a good choice. The next day my stomach felt awful. Service was okay not good or bad. Not recommended for anyone read more

This is the absolute worst of the chain. Great looking place. You would think it be like any other of the chain. That's not even close. I cannot even explain it besides monkeys and footballs. I was crazy enough to give it a second chance (twice). Spend a buck and pay for fuel to continue your drive to someplace better. There is a McDonald's down the street. This place has gotten better. I have been back several times. Mostly because it's local and works out in a lot of situations. I still would not recommend it, I also would not discourage any one from going there like before. read more

As far as Applebee's goes, this one was what you would expect. Food was fine, but nothing special. (We went because we were given a gift card; we're not big Applebee's people.) The bottomless fries are a nice bonus, though. What was special was our server. He was excellent. I think his name was John, but I could be totally off. He was attentive, responsive, and professional. read more

There was a centipede in the Caesar salad! Really grossed us out. The manager offered onion rings instead. When the bill came the waitress flipped past the itemized bill directly to the payment screen and I thought the bill was high. When she displayed the itemized bill THEY HAD CHARGED US for the replacement onion rings!!!!! The service was also extremely slow. The salads actually showed up to our table before we got even our ice teas! I would never go back there. They should get a health inspection and learn something about how to treat customers. read more

Service was extremely slow both from server and kitchen. Our order was lost so people that came in after us ate and left before we got our food. We went out for dinner Monday July 5. It was the worse meal I can remember. We ordered 2 steak dinners and boneless chicken. The waitress ask us if we want the appetizers first we said yes. She said 1 only ordered 1 dinner. I told her we wanted 2 for 26. Brr try brought our chicken wings no fork no napkins. The dinner came my steak was fatty, my husband was seasoned and mine was not. This Applebees's. does not even deserve 1 star! worst place ever! Can't get a take out order correct to save their lives! After my first review of two stars, I was contacted by Applebee's Corp. asking for contact info so they could try to make things right. Well, five weeks later I finally received a call. The 'new' manager of this site, an import from the Schenectady store, apologized for both the cause of the previous review and the delay in contacting me. He explained he really wanted to make things right and encouraged me to give them another try. Well, last night I did. There was a greeter on duty who seated me immediately in the bar area. It couldn't have been more than a few minutes before a waitress approached. She was friendly and pleasant and, seeing that I was done with the menu, took both my beverage and food order. The beverage arrived within several minutes, and the food not very long after. So far, so good. Then, the food order arrived incomplete. Neither the kitchen or the waitress noticed. I had to catch the waitress going by and ask for the rest of my order. She apologized and returned with the rest of my order within five or so minutes. Unlike my previous review, the AC was at a reasonable temp, the music wasn't blasting and the meal was typical chain restaurant quality. Everyone was in some sort of uniform except a male doing multiple duties in a well worn t-shirt. If this was a manager he should dress better if working in front of the public. Overall, for a chain restaurant, they almost got it right. I might even try them again. read more

The older staff here is really fantastic, the younger staff is as expected. For an Applebee's it's not too bad. Lots of seats quick service and the place is decorated pretty nicely. You have to gauge your expectations I at an Applebee's or fast food chain. read more

I frequent Applebees during football season for their cheap draft beers, boneless wing, and NFL Sunday Ticket. It's obvious that very little of the food is made fresh to order, but mostly frozen and deep fried. I'd say that would be pretty typical for most "chain" restaurants like Applebees. Waitresses and hostesses are always very pleasant and the place is generally clean. Assuming you realize you won't be getting a fine dining experience and just want to get some deep fried food and some beers it's a good place to stop at. read more

Nothing spectacular. It's a chain so I guess what can you expect? The restaurant itself is very nice and well kept. Our waitress was great. The food was just kinda eh though. I had the savory cedar salmon from their lighter fare menu and it was okay. The salmon itself was nice but the potatoes were underdone the spinach was kinda wilting and the "spring" mixed vegetables it was supposed to have were these big lumps of cooked zucchini. So I dunno-when I go out I like to go to unique place that doesn't microwave your entree out of a bag. Plus I don't like knowing the number of calories I am eating-I hate when they put the numbers on the menu. Don't go to a chain unless you have to. read more

Definitely recommend! Cain and Lauren were our servers and they were great! Great suggestions and communication. They were really delightful and great energy! The food was very delicious! Restaurant had chicken tenders and fries on the ground outside door to entrance. Should have left then. Told greeter and was told they knew about it and still nothing was done. Took forever to place our order. Request for extra ketchup with burger was ignored 2x. Had to go to server to get it after asking and waiting for server to return twice. Server was inattentive and there was no follow through. We had to find server again to get the bill and pay. My partner's burger was ok. Mine was meh. Overall disappointing service and when we left over an hour later the food was still on the ground at the entrance. read more

I've been a vegetarian for almost 30 years... with the exception of the last 2 times I've come to this Applebee's. Last time, they made me a salad and (after I found chicken pieces), admitted that they'd just picked chicken off to make it vegetarian (yuck). Tonight.... they reassured me that they could make the mac and cheese without chicken strips... it came out covered in chicken and bacon... I reminded the waiter of our conversation, and he took it back and came out with ac and cheese with what he assured me were breadcrumbs mixed in... turns out they were bacon bits. Eventually, they offered to make me a noodle dish that I waited until the rest of my table was done for over 20 minutes before it came out. Horrible experience... read more

Very bad experience. It was very dirty there was old disgusting food under the table. They brought the appetizer in three steps because they forgot some of it twice. They brought the wrong meal they did take it back but tried to charge for both even though as soon as he set it down I said I ordered shrimp not chicken.had to send bill back twice as it had two things added in error, one meal was cold. One dish had two hairs in it, not one but two!!! We didn't even bother to send it back just left it. read more

Service was incredibly long just to order drinks. It was obvious that the server was smoking. It is pathetic that someone like her is allowed to serve food at a chain restaurant. I expect this from a family owned dive bar in the middle of no where. Was brought items like knifes and ketchup from different waitress when main waiter forget them. Applebees must be low on staff because i doubt she had the qualifications to work anywhere higher than mcdonalds. didnt expect much when i decided to come here but i dont think it could have been worse service. the food wasn't anything special. burger was okay and wings werent much better. Room for LOTS of improvement. This place just recently opened, I know everyone is trying to work the kinks out but no excuse for not being proactive and ready for a pack house no matter what time and day it is. That is on management. Had to spend about 3 hours for dinner because kitchen was backed up, not enough cooks?? Inexperience cooks?? Was not expecting it to be a busy night?? Again that's on management. Finally got our food after waiting for about an hour and a half and it was overcooked and burnt!!! Should have walked out at this point but our server was so apologetic and did all the right thing by calling over the manager to fix the issue and went out of her way to really make sure we are taken care of and had kitchen redo our orders. Food came out much better and a lot quicker. At the end, dinner was on the house. Ambiance - as expected from Applebee's Service - Management: Kitchen Staff NEEDS A LOT OF WORK, Corporate: Management Staff NEEDS to be PROACTIVE about circumstances Servers - JOB WELL DONE! (Someone was listening during training) Food - Ehh...Again, this is on management and possibly corporation (mediocre at the most) My 2 cents on this, get enough staffing in every aspect of the business...treat them as family (teamwork) then results will always be good food and service. read more
