After a full day of errands we decided to eat before heading home. We came across an Applebee's and since we haven't been to one in a very long time we opted to try it again. Bad decision. Service was great! We were seated immediately and our server, Vincent, was attentive and checked in on us regularly. We ordered some chips and salsa to start and followed up with salmon and a quesadillas burger. The picture on the menu showed fresh ingredients, a nicely made burger in a quesadilla. What I was served was a mushy burger, the tortilla wet and the ingredients not abundant or appealing. It had no flavor and just tasted like mushy slop. The burger was supposed to be medium and it was more on the rare side. The salmon was decent but the portion was so small. The rice lacked flavor (replaced the broccoli) and the mashed potatoes was good. All in all, we would not go back as there are other restaurants in the area we enjoy more. Husband and I had dinner early, 4:15 PM the day before Xmas Eve, restaurant not quite half full. Was cheerfully greeted by the nicest young lady who also would be our waitress, Gianna I think was her name with long black hair. Got our drinks and took our dinner order. We got the pick Six free boneless wings promotion on Monday, garlic Parmesan with ranch dressing, delivered to us hot and they were very good. Our dinners came a few minutes later. I had the big chicken sandwich with fries and it was piping hot, fries were hot, right out of the fry basket, delicious! Husband had the classic cheeseburger with bacon and the works and fries and his was hot and he really enjoyed his meal. Our waitress kept checking on us and couldn't have been nicer to us. Stopped at Applebee's again for their AUCE specials and to use up our gift card given to us. Applebee's has different specials on different days and we noticed they also had an all you can eat special for a limited time on boneless chicken wings with several choices of sauces for $12.99 that came with fries and a small side of their coleslaw. A really good deal. They looked delicious and best of all we could use our gift card for our meal( I called ahead and asked just to be sure)! Our waiter was friendly and attentive even though he was tending bar along with serving us - he handled everything efficiently and professionally. We started off with their soft pretzels sticks with Dijon mustard sauce and a cheddar cheese beer sauce. They were delectable! Toasty warm, soft and slightly salty - dipped in either sauce they are truly a winner of an appetizer. I could have eaten them all by myself and wanted more! We will definitely be ordering these again! I choose the Sweet Thai Chili as my sauce for my boneless wings. I really enjoyed the sweet and spicy flavor. It had just the right amount of heat without being over the top spicy. Only problem I had with the boneless wings was that they were over cooked. Very crunchy which is no problem if you have good strong teeth and they were really dry inside. Not moist and juicy as a good boneless wing should be. We spoke to a young lady who stopped by our table and asked how everything was. We explained that our chicken was tough and dry. She said that's how they cook them. I truly find that hard to believe that's how they're supposed to be served to customers. Their french fries were hot and tasty with just the right amount of salt. A very nice sized portion. Their coleslaw is also a favorite of mine, it's a perfect balance of sweet and sour without over doing it. All in all a decent meal but I would have preferred my boneless wings cooked properly. I glad it was a freebie using our gift card or I would have been dissatisfied paying for our meal. The decor remains the same pub style - nothing new there but they really should look into making things easier for their disabled customers. Going in the front door to the right are a few steps up for tables and some booths. If you can't make the steps you have to walk all the way to the rear of the restaurant to go to their ramp which takes you up to the tables and booths. A long walk for those of us who use canes, walkers or scooters. Be that as it may - it's still one of our favorite places to go for a comfort meal on our date nights. read more

Applebee's has been one of our favorites for years. We like the many updates they have done such as adding more TVs. Now come the buts, like many places it is apparent they are not able to obtain the required amount of help they need, leaving many tables dirty and slow service. In addition the food arrived luke warm. I was going to bring it to their attention, but my wife said to let it go. The music (AC/DC, etc) was blasting throughout the nearly empty restaurant.... at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. Read the room, Applebees! The food was good- typical Applebees fare. No complaints there. The waitress and hostess seemed like maybe this was their first day on the job; a bit unsure and unsteady. No one checked on us after our food was served to see if we needed anything. The wait for the waitress was ridiculous! We should've left cause they acted like they didn't want to serve us, I ordered a 6oz steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The only thing I could eat was the broccoli cus everything else was ice cold. I tried to get waitresses attention, but she was acting like she was so busy and there were maybe 6 tables of people with not more than 3 people at a table. And there were other waitresses working some of the other tables. Once she came over to our table we explained what was wrong and asked for a to go container. We also told her we should be given some type of discount for having cold food. She went back to talk to a manager then she told us the manager said, "If we were going to stay they would give us a discount, but since we're leaving there's nothing they can do." Can you believe that? I was floored! That sounded so crazy! I told her that was ridiculous! There was no way I was sending my food back cus of the old saying! If nothing's wrong with the food, send it back and it will be! Ha, ha! So we just left! We will never eat there again! Not a very nice atmosphere. Our food was never the issue. I understand my server is busy but when she blatantly walked past our table without asking if our appetizer turned out okay, if we needed refills, and did check in on every table around us I felt neglected as a customer. I have been in service and I waited until the end when the bill was placed folded up face down on the table , I asked for two to go drinks since I had never received a refill that was met with attitude. I asked her once she returned with the card and receipt if she was having a day or if she was just really busy I just wanted to check in on her. She said no why, I said you just seem to have a demeanor about you and it was not very nice today, she said "sorry you feel that way", this is a shoutout to the kitchen- you did a great job. I found a manager as I was walking out explained how saying what my server did felt rude and she agreed however when I turned my back she decided to have a slick comment of "nice talk". Your service disgusted me today. Almost like we should just cook at home instead of tipping someone to treat their customers the way you do. read more

TERRIBLE customer service and rude, negligent employees!!! Mind you, I have had SO many bad experiences here, let me explain what made me write this review today...I went in today 2/2/24 around 11:30am to pick up a doordash order. (I put the exact time and date so maybe the manager can speak with the team on shift today...though the whole restaurant could use a team meeting on respect in my opinion...) ANYWAY... I go to pick up an order for doordash. Every time I go in, I am always waiting for someone to greet me...15 plus minutes. The staff EVERY TIME will look you in the eyes, walk past you and go talk to other coworkers or go eat and act like you don't even exist! I decided I was not going to sit there for 15 or more minutes watching MY customer's food getting cold because no one would take a few seconds to acknowledge me. So I grabbed the order, made sure it all matched on my phone so I did not take the wrong one, and I walked out. As I am putting this order in my car, a lady walks out and begins giving me complete sass and smarta$$ attitude and says to me, "Hey hun (all snarky) thanks for letting me know you took the order, we have to close it out on our end." I responded saying, "Well every time I walk in here no one gives me any attention or acknowledges me" she responds by saying, "you just walked in here a minute ago" I responded saying, "Oh now you notice? I saw my order and grabbed it." And she stated, "well we have to close it out so thanks a lot" and slammed the door in my face. Mind you, this was in front of customers that were sitting outside. Real professional chick there.... If she did NOT slam the door in my face I would have informed her how every single time I walk in I am completely ignored. I would have informed her that even if I FINALLY get acknowledged...Applebees employees are getting paid hourly and by tips from their tables...when I am sitting there for 15-20 even 25 minutes waiting for a 5 dollar order that I still have to drive 15 minutes away to deliver so we are talking 30 plus minutes of my time wasted for $5.00 while I am watching my customer's food get cold because no one could do their job real quick and help me out even though Dashers are helping Applebees out because without our deliveries, you would not be making extra sales for your restaurant. If she had given me the time of day to explain that last time I was there this exact thing had happened, and some half blonde hair half brown haired girl rolled her eyes at me two times when I had to walk up to her while she was talking to another employee and ask her to check on my order so I could leave and make my customer satisfied, maybe she would have understood. I even told that girl that time next time I'll just grab my own order. I wouldn't want you to have to do your job or anything... WE are helping YOU with YOUR sales. We deserve the same respect and attention as any other customer there. And as of today...if you wanted to converse with me about why I shouldn't just grab the order and go, maybe have the decency to not do it in front of outside customers who agreed with me how terrible your service was after the door was slammed in my face when I was in mid conversation with her. Incredibly rude. I have informed doordash of your services as well and told them I will not be accepting doordash orders from Applebees any longer unless they are high paying orders worth waiting 30 minutes for. Doordash stated they will look into it immediately and try to resolve the issue. I am SO SICK of the pure disrespect and negligence of this place from these people!!! Shame on all your employees. Be professional and courteous!!! And do not embarrass others in front of your customers either... You also don't understand that the customer isn't calling Applebees when the food is cold, they are marking us down and affecting our ratings when they are upset with the order. This affects my job and my source of income, not yours. It is absolutely mind blowing to me that you can make time to notice I just took my order to please my customer and come out within seconds and say something snarky to me but when I walk in and politely wait you can't give me two seconds of your time unless you might get in trouble for it....DO BETTER APPLEBEES!!! This location isn't much better than the other locations I've been to, but at least they tried to clean it up with a new look at the bar. We didn't come for dinner, but we're going to get a drink at the bar. We felt as if our being there was not welcomed by the bartender. There were only 6 others sitting at there and number 7 walked in as were waiting for our drinks to be made. There was no greeting or small talk as you would expect walking up to a bar. There were no signs advertising specials or happy hour and the bartender didn't mention any. It took about five minutes to get our drinks after waiting a few minutes to be recognized at the bar. We ordered a $4.99 Modelo draft and $6.99 Tanqueray & tonic. There was time when we were sipping on our cocktails that the bartender checked on us. I wanted to let her know my drink tasted like straight tonic water. I noticed other customers were getting happy hour prices and two-for-one which we should have asked about, but didn't. I'm thinking we ordered the two drinks that didn't get on the happy hour menu! We felt left out, but at least were able to walk out without falling over. So, the moral of the story is...before you order, ask "what are the happy hour specials and what's not on happy hour?" You'll feel better at least knowing. read more

Some of you will question how a typical chain restaurant deserves a five-star rating. At our visit this past Monday evening, everything was spot on. Good social distancing with tables, a wonderful server, (bar patrons are on their own), and great tasting food. I was impressed that the booths still have the higher partition above the seats so you feel like you are sitting in your own little room. It appeared that the hostess was seating folks at every other table. The Chicken Oriental Salad was fresh and tasty. The prime rib sandwich my husband ordered looked good and he confirmed. I'm glad we stopped there as it was one of our first local indoor dining experiences in months (maybe a year). I noticed the outdoor dining area and will be back to eat there as the weather is warming up. I wish I had captured our server's name as she was excellent! read more

Stopped here on our way to Crystal River. My son has a severe peanut allergy, so we usually stop at chain restaurants that don't use peanut oil, applebee's being one of them (we have been to many). Well, despite the Applebee's website assurance that soybean oil is used in the fryers, this one particular Applebee's uses Peanut oil! Thank god we checked. The server acted like she didn't want to be there, then my chicken was like rubber. After I waited for a replacement meal my family was almost finished eating by the time I got it. When the bill came out the manager said well you ordered the platter. We said no we ordered the 2 for $22 she argued then said ok fine I'll take off $3. We explained about the mishap with the chicken and she did not even apologize. I don't know her name but she was an older woman with curly dirty blonde hair. The waitress was a heavy set girl with longer dark hair. I guess they aren't running the place for return customers, because we won't be back for sure! Their "Fish N Chip" Entre with 2 sides is entirely misleading. The Chips (Fries) is actually one of the sides; therefore you only get 1 additional side. So you get 3 pieces of fish and two sides, you DO NOT get fish and chips and two sides as menu states. Very misleading........ we will not dine here again. read more

The blond bartender was rude af when we first arrived after waiting for 10 minutes and then having to grab her attention to be sat. Once we were able to sit she refused to seat us at the lower tables and allowed us only to sit at the High tops with a service animal and handicap. She continued to roll her eyes when we asked to be seated at a clean table at least. We finally were able to switch servers to Jordan after she behaved outrageously in front of the GM and our service improved greatly. She really needs to find a new career is she cannot treat people with respect after being asked a simple question about seating. read more

Ordered the usual oriental chicken salad with grilled chicken. Then check out the flatware, both knives in the table are sticky. Kitchen Waiter brings fried chicken on this salad. When I questioned the fried chicken, our waitress says that's how it comes. When I asked for grilled chicken she said again, but this is how it comes, fried. I'm thinking, don't lie to me. I have this menu choice every time I come here with grilled chicken. Then brings check, says no rush. Two minutes later she comes back, asking if the payment is ready. Really?
