This location was not living up to the usual Applebees expectation. We a Walked in to the alarm panel beeping in the foyer and napkins and food on the bar area floor We were seated in a booth and ordered cocktails and an appetizer. The "spicy" Marg was a syrupy drink that was long on sweet and short on spice. We enjoyed the pickle fries. Hubs had a Swiss burger that was decent. The real disappointment was the chicken quesadilla-the tomatoes seemed as if they were something of a steed canned tomato, the cheese a melted velvetta consistency and the chicken barely there. The tortillas were not fresh. Unfortunately they were sent back to the kitchen. Not sure if the fact they were ready long before hubby's burger was (server notified us the quesadillas were ready and being "held" till the burger came out) was the issue? We waited Almost :30 minutes after that convo for our food. read more

It's been a while since I've been at an Applebee's but I came in for an appetizer and a drink and I must say I actually enjoyed it. I had an ultimate trio appetizer and it was pretty good, I also had a blue raspberry margarita which was real good and pretty strong as well...I'm definitely going back and hitting the 3pm to 6pm happy hour for half off appetizers and 3 dollar margaritas... read more

I honestly thought that when the fries were cold and burnt it was just my Uber driver's fault. Whew boy don't bother coming here in person! I ordered fish and chips and not only did the waiter take forever and a day to serve us, my fries were burnt AND cold. It took forever to get a refill, forever to get the check, and forever to get our card back. Definitely not worth going to after the movies. read more

Went here after work for drinks and dinner. It was a very quiet night at Applebee's. I really love Applebee's food. Plus, the memories it bring with it. I'm not sure where this place took a wrong turn. Seemed that everyone was doing a job that was independent of everyone else. This lead to delays in seating, ordering and meals. It was so strange. The drinks were okay along with the average meal. I wish that I could say that something stuck out. If it wasn't for Yelp, I would have forgotten that I had a picture of the drink to post. I really wanted to love it. At least I liked it! read more

In desperate need of management oversight. The receiving lady had no sense of urgency. Two families walked out because they were waiting too long. Our food took for ever! When we did get it, my wife needed to returned it as it was too spicy. Yet, there was no urgency on the reorder. It took just as long. When asked to speak to the manager, we waited until our server said he was very busy but would be with us. We waited and left without speaking to mgr. Never again. read more

Came with a party of 10. Everyone but myself got their food in a reasonable amount of time. My "double crunch" fried shrimp, which was definitely previously frozen and didn't have much crunch at all, took another THIRTY MINUTES, and then did not come with the french fries. I declined the fries after another 10-15 minutes. The waitress was very apologetic and she was great. Also, the men's restroom was filthy and reeked of urine. I mentioned this to the male bartender but he didn't seem to care. I had to use the restroom again a few minutes later - and nothing had changed. Overall, I'd give this place a 1/2 star, and that is being generous. Not coming back. read more

Can't go lower than one star. Worst experience ever. We were sat down pretty quick, but that's the only good thing about our visit. We got our drinks and then got ignored for about thirty minutes before different waitress had to bring me a refill. The food took even longer. I don't know why everything took so long, there were literally NO customers around. What there was plenty of, however, were flies. Very unpleasant visit. Don't even get me started on the restroom. OMG! Looked like a huge tree gave birth in one of the stalls. Will never come back to this location. read more

Very bad customer service . This Applebee's gets bad reviews on yelp, but I did want to go there anyway and try it out because I like Applebee's I was disappointed that they had taken the Asian wrap off of their menu. That's why they lost one star. our server. John was very personable and helpful with menu questions. I had the appetizer sampler everything on. There was very good super filling and now we have snacks for later my husband, of course got the cheeseburger and fries. His burger was so juicy he had to lean over the plate so he wouldn't wreck his shirt.!!! The place was clean but not busy.... Service was prompt and it appeared. John was by himself having to run from one side of the place to the other!!! Good job, John!!!! Bring back the Asian wrap!!!!! read more

Stopped for lunch at 11:20am and had to walk through swept up trash piles to get to our seat. The entire floor of the restaurant was FILTHY from the night before with a really bad smell in the air. I havent been to an applebees in SO long but I liked it here! We came for veterans day and it was free entree :) They gave us all $5 giftcards to their restaurant too. Now onto the food... We asked our sirloin to be cooked medium rare but it came out well done unfortunately. I also got the chicken caesar salad and it was really good but the chicken tasted weird to me. The bread was so hard too I took a bite and that was it. I think the best dish we had was the fiesta chicken for sure! read more

We went on Halloween excited to try the Boozy Buckets. We were sat at a table for 15 mins with no one acknowledging our existence. When we waved down a waiter he said okay as he walked away without apologizing or attempting to take our orders. We waved down the waitress who sat us and she said they were overwhelmed and busy. The restaurant was no where NEAR capacity! She just kept saying sorry as she walked away without even trying to get our drink orders either! Not even water! So we just left. Me and my little sister went to go have lunch and were in the mood for a place with a good variety of food to choose from that was near by. We ended up choosing Applebee's. Once we arrived parking was good. It had its own parking area with a spacious location near SPID. It was pretty empty (especially since it was lunch time). Once we arrived we stood there for a minute and we were noticed a couple times by various employees and still never seated nor asked to choose to sit anywhere. The cleanliness of the restaurant was decent and after a couple minutes a hostess came back out and then seated us. We then were greeted by our waitress who was very sweet and got our drinks and handed us a menu. We decided to order the 2 for $20. We both got the 2 side Cesar salads and I ordered the 8 oz. Top Sirloin with green beans and broccoli. My sister ordered the Grilled Salmon with double Broccoli. Both plates added an extra $9 to the special since we got the sirloin and salmon. We also ordered wings on the side. Once we received our meal I was a little saddened by the presentation and the size of our meal. It wasn't the same look nor size of the picture. The salmon was tiny and the taste of the fish was bland and the sirloin was chewy and seemed like it wasn't even prepared right at all with no seasoning. the only thing that had taste was the wings and that wasn't even part of the special. I was really disappointed. The extra star was for our waitress. She was sweet and very nice and was always checking up on us. Other than that we will most likely not return to this location. read more

We visited your Applebee's in Corpus Christi. We have been several times. This time we were sat, and received menus, but then we're ignored. A couple was sat across from us and received food and drink. I had to go to the bar to ask for service, and was told someone would be with us. After 10 more minutes we left. This is unacceptable. We spent 30 minutes with no acknowledgement. I sincerely hope you do better in the future. read more

2/5/2023 It's 3:00pm and there seems to be no manager here today. The bar tender says she is overwhelmed with our 1 table. As she tells a lady at the bar her personal problem. It took 30 min to get recognized that we where setting and 10 more to get water. I had to go interrupt her conversation to remind her we hadn't ordered. She answered me by saying she usually doesn't work on Sundays. As the bartender I'm not sure why that would matter. After eating our meal I gave her my card to pay. She took it and went back to the only person sitting at the bar to continue her personal drama story. After 10 min I had to go to her and ask her to please pause her story and run my card so we could leave. She gave me an annoyed look and walked over to the register. When she brought me my receipt she was very nice and thanked me and said sorry for everything taking so long. But she was just overwhelmed at the moment. Being that we where the only table be served in the bar area and the lady at the bar wasn't eating, I can't see how she could have been overwhelmed with just one table to attend to. Hopefully this location can get things back to normal soon because this experience is becoming a regular occurrence at this location. read more

Visited Applebee's and was impressed by its immaculate cleanliness and good service, despite them being busy. The server was notably friendly. I had the chicken and shrimp, which were deliciously cooked to perfection. Also tried the wings - they were okay, but I've had better in Corpus Christi. The appetizer sampler is a delicious mix ,which I highly recommend. It's a great place for a pleasant meal, especially if you're looking for a variety of tasty options in a clean and welcoming environment. and back to the wings I like spicy and they really weren't very spicy but the quality was good. read more

I'm a frequent visitor to the Applebee's on my side of town. Usually, the food is delicious and the service is excellent but today, I was VERY disappointed in the kitchen staff and the manager. When we first got there, there was no hostess out front so we had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to come and greet us and take us to our table (should have been a sign to leave right away because there was hardly a lot of people here... but we stayed) We were told that Eric would be our waiter and he'd be right with us. Instead they sent over a young lady who was still in training. "Alicia" She was very nice and curtious. She took our drink order. Brought the first drink ordered but my sister and niece had to wait almost 10 minutes for their drinks (the place was not crowded but we were told they were switching out shifts) We ordered apps (which were brought out very quickly) My sister (who is diabetic) didn't order apps. My nieceand I, ate our apps and waited for our food to come. Another 15 minutes passed and still no food . We watched as other customers came in, ordered their food and recieved food. Still, no food made it to our table. Another 15 minutes passed by. (By this time, I was getting very annoyed but my sister told me to be patient) I watched as hot, sizzling food came from the kitchen and passed us right up. Frustrated, I called our waitress over and asked her how much longer it would be because my niece only ordered a burger and my sister had the shrimp and steak. She made some kind of comment like there was an issue in the kitchen but we continued to watch more food come out of the kitchen to other customers. Finally, I asked to speak to the manager. As the manager approched our table, I could tell by the look on her face that she was feeling some type of way. She asked what the problem was and we told her that we had been here for over 30 minutes waiting on our food while new customers were being served. Instead of trying to rectify the situation, she asked "What do you want me to do about it?" (Highly upset at this point) My sister told her to just bring us the check so we could pay for our drinks and apps. Soon as the manager walked away and the waitress came out with our food and brought us our ticket for $90. Instead of making a scene .. which I'm sure they were expecting us to do) we paid and took our food to go. This is the worst service I've ever had at any restaurant here in Corpus in the 18 years that I've lived here. The manager's lack of remorse was sickening. She acted like she could care less that we recieved crappy service. Needless to say, we will NEVER ever visit this location again. I tried to tell my sister that our horrible treatment had nothing to do with the color of our skin but she believes otherwise. We were the only African American's in the place and we were the ONLY ONES who got our ticket to pay for our food before our entrees ever touched the table. Service like this should never be allowed in a restaraunt to any paying customer. The waitress was so patient and kind. This situation had absolutely nothing to do with her. And that is why we left her a $20 tip. Any other time... I would have left without eating or paying one red scent. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. This location will never recieve our business again. I felt like this was discrimination at it's finest.... Welcome to Corpus Christi! read more

It was a nice Monday night with my best friend we sat at the bar with an older guy who's name started with a B. He had jokes and kept us entertained. The lights weren't too bright there were a couple of cute dates around. It wasn't dusty like some franchises. It was a little bit not super. The bar was dirty with dessert. The guy came back from getting snacks from the corner store while his manager covered the bartending position. Poor guy was weeded it was cute. We ordered the 2 for 30. Spin dip was yummm. The ribs were ok and the steak was cooked perfectly. It was fun! Thanks! read more

I had such a great dining experience! The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the onion rings were hot and delicious. To top it off, the waiter was friendly and cute, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Don't do it. Just don't. My husband and I showed up at 230 on a Saturday. The floors that weren't sticky, were covered in food partials and trash. Bathrooms were awful, doors didn't lock, trash all over the floor, and dirty all around. We were sat quickly and ordered waters. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to bring us waters. He stopped by once in that 20 minutes and said he would get our waters once he "got around to getting back there" . At that same time we put in an order for an appetizer sampler; he didn't ask us if we wanted to order anything, we had to catch him and call him back before he could scurry off again. At that point when he didn't ask us what sauces we wanted or what flavor of wings we wanted we decided to leave. Again, don't do it. Just don't. read more

IMPROVEMENT NEEDED! 2:00pm Monday, only 2 tables seated, not busy at all. Tables were not cleaned, even the wrapped silverware had food on them. (See pics) Food Presentation - very small portion size, did not look like picture, below standard!!! Patty (manager) - Said everything is portioned, was her excuse. I asked for her manager (JR) who never gave an excuse and understood it was not presented as it should have been (see photos), professional and polite he had food remade. Men's Bathroom - GROSS!!! VERY DIRTY.. Really disappointed ): like an bar with old piss smell. It was so bad I refused to to use the bathroom. TRASH on the floor (see pics) Pros: Beer was cold. Upper management polite.
