Went during lunch time before Valentine's Day. Ended up trying the "all you can eat" option between ribs, boneless chicken wings, and shrimp, i believe. Amy was our waitress, and wow, was she amazing. It was so much fun and one of the best servers I've ever had. Not once did she make us feel guilty for wanting another round. I don't know which was better, Amy or the Parmesan Garlic boneless wings. I tried doing the survey to let the company know about our experience, but no luck getting them to work. We lucked out and got her again a few weeks later for lunch. This time, we shared onion rings for a starter and blackened chicken - which be careful as I had black specks all over my teeth after and didn't know. The place was nice and clean, and the food was tasty. If you want great service, go before 4 pm and ask for Amy. Hope management sees this and gives her the recognition she deserves. Overall good. We had a bit of a problem with how a salad was made. No problem, the manager totally took care of it. We also had somewhat of a problem with waitstaff just not taking care of our table, refills, etc. That can happen anywhere. I think part of that problem was they seated us back in a corner near the restrooms and kitchen. It's sort of easy to get forgotten. read more

The food is consistently good, their prices are reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly. It's a better value than fast food and the atmosphere is casual. Pile into a booth with your kin or belly up to the bar for the win! I'm a big fan of their riblets, Slow cooked and slathered in your choice of sauce. My favorite is the Sweet Asian Chili sauce for a little kick! The onion rings and french onion soup are good as well! Applebee's is a great value, however, this is where they get you. Everything is a small upcharge. Want onion rings instead of fries? Upcharge! Want french onion soup instead? Upcharge! Next thing you know, the check is much higher. And if your in the mood for a cold libation, they got you covered. Cold beer and cocktails. The perfect Patrón margarita is my fave! Patrón silver tequila and Patrón Citrónge orange liqueur with a lime wedge served in a martini glass. They give you the cold cocktail shaker on the side so that you can refill your drink. Ate here for the first time. I ordered the the 2 for $22 (1 appetizer and 2 entrées). I chose the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp and Oriental Fried Chicken Salad as my entrées and spinach artichoke dip as my appetizer. They all tasted good, but nothing really special about it. I think the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp was very flavorful. It's actually pretty similar to Chili's. We came here to watch a basketball game, but the main large TV froze so we ended up watching our game on the small side TVs. The parking lot is huge. We ate at the bar and our waitress was very friendly and fast. Our waitress switched places with the manager later in the night and she too was very friendly and helpful. If you're trying to go to a bar and eat some pupus and watch a game conveniently especially when you're from the hotels in the area, this is an overall good place to come. read more

We visit Clinton Iowa restaurant and we were not disappointed. My lime chicken delicious and my husband prime rib sandwich was so delicious and filling for a big man. All around great place for a beautiful afternoon. Out service was on point our server was so nice and made me some great dollar margaritas. This was the worst car side pickup we have ever experienced. We intentionally scheduled a pick up time and were a few minutes early and were told our food was almost ready. At our scheduled pick up time we were told one more minute. Then TWELVE minutes later someone brought out our food. There were 7 cars that came and got food during the time we waited for our food that had a SCHEDULED pick up time. When we tried to flag down the waitress she yelled at us from the door "in a minute it's almost done"! What's the point of letting us schedule if it doesn't matter?! I got what I expected. The menu was been changed due to COVID and unfortunately many of my favorites are taken off. The service was good and the bar menu provided adequate choices. The place was nice and clean. We had to wait in our car for a period of time due to COVID, and they wouldn't allow use to call ahead for some reason. Ordered a full rack of ribs cost $20. The ribs were absolutely disgusting, tasted like they were cooked about a week ago then reheated today the amount of fries i got with them equal out to about the size of a mcdonalds small fry, why is it so expensive? Did i miss something? The customer service was absolutely atrocious would never recommend to ANYONE and i will never be coming back absolutely god awful use of $20, i deeply regret choosing to eat here. Food is horrible if you try to eat here late at night. Chicken was blackened/very dry and actually tasted more like turkey for some reason. The good news is that they are open late unlike many local restaurants. The better news is that they have a great friendly staff, especially the nice female bartender. I was seated quickly, but then a violation of a pet peeve; letting me sit there without contact. 15 minutes later I was asked if I cared for something to drink, and was provided a menu. I ordered a shrimp salad and wings. Asked to get at separate times.....but received them simultaneously. Waitress took forever between meal delivery and seeing if I wanted a second beverage. From the minute you opened the door, the waiting area, then to the booth was filthy. Your feet stuck to the floor. Your back stuck to the booth. And even after watching the girl spray the table off it was still sticky. The floor was full of food and filth. In fact when we arrived there were chips and mozzarella sticks on the floor and took the staff at least 20 minutes to finally sweep up. Yes swept it right in the bin! I travel a lot and for the past four years have eaten at the Applebee's in Clinton Iowa two - four times a month. The food is good and typical of what you would expect. Customer service is fine. Of late I've noticed this trend to speed feed you. I understand the need to turn tables but tonight 10/16 was ridiculous. When I arrived at 5 pm I was the only the second customer in the restaurant. I ordered soup, salad, and a burger. All three came out simultaneously. Not wanting the soup and burger to get cold I ate them first. The word for this visit was indigestion. I was literally done at 5:20. Too fast. This is now the second time I've been speed fed. Come on guys. Slow down. read more

I'm not normally a fan of Applebee's or the other chain style family restaurants, but I was in Clinton on business and stopped here. The servers were pleasant, and while they didn't have the Sam Adams they were advertising, I really enjoyed the tomato basil soup and the Tai Shrimp salad, which was fabulous. Later in the evening we waited about 15 minutes for a round of drinks but the waitress fixed that problem by comping us, which is the right thing to do, but out of the norm for this kind of place. Clean place. Service last night was not good. They never came back with water, coffee or the lemonade. My order was to have 2 sides and I asked if they would simply double the french fry order.
