I don't feel the menu has much variety and they need to have baked potatoes and bread.

I typically don't write reviews on large chain restaurants, but felt the need to this time. I was at the bar alone last Monday and ordered a draught beer (+1) and dinner. They were not busy, but it took well over an hour to get my food and when it came out it was missing part of the order. I was tired and frustrated and told them I did not want it or wait for it. I did say I would pay for it but was not staying. The Manager, who was also cooking came out and apologized and convinced me to stay and try the food but I did not have to pay. I agreed to try the food and it was very good. Everyone has a bad day and I think this evening was one for them. The manager and bar tender were both very attentive and I did pay part of the bill even though they did not want me too. read more

Not great, needs more cleanliness and friendliness, will try again, never been there before.

As we entered a group of four walked out before getting a table, we waited for over ten minutes for hostess to get us a table, she said she was in the back washing dishes. The bar tender and what looked the bar manager one of them did yell out someone will be with us soon, looked like the bar manager long blond hair girl was busy doing liquor inventory the entire time we was there over an hour. Our waitress Mckayla C, had no einthusan. The food was just okay little value or quality for the money. There was less than fifteen tables and few bar customers. The place could us a little cleaning and freshen up. The wall next to waitress station with the OU Bobcats logo is black from grease and grim, bad look. Willing to try a different Applebees location in the future. Arrived at 5:43pm seated at 5:58 checked out at 6:40. on 2/11/26. Disappointed. read more

The manager, Angela, and staff were extremely rude. We ordered carryout and all the pickup spots were taken with parked cars. Sat in parking lot for 40 minutes even after calling and checking on food. Had front row seat of front door, no one ever came out to look around the pickup spots. Had to call again to get food. Staff argued with us about parking in "wrong spot" but there was nowhere else to park for pickup. Then they got our order wrong. When I called to ask to speak with manager, they staff refused to let me talk to her and took my number and said she would call back, heard them laughing about not calling back when they hung up. As you can imagine the manager never called back. Will not eat at an applebee's again, rude staff, long wait times, food isn't the greatest, especially when you don't get what was ordered. Go somewhere else. Additionally, another time I tried to get a gift cards for a family member and they couldn't figure out how to do it. read more

Frequent here oftem. Service has always been exceptional. Our food came out on time. Just a wonderful experience all the way around.

Stopped in for dinner and drinks last night. The restaurant was clean. Our server was friendly and on top of it. I didn't run out of my pop. My food was quick and warm. Definitely will go back. Even when they were busy it was quick service! read more

We sat at the bar, the bar tender was obviously new. She had to look up how to make drinks. Felt bad because no one was helping her. She lost customers because she was to slow and might have seen 1 waitress on the floor. That being said food was good. read more

My server didn't care about service at all. Didn't warn us about a hot plate, no refills on my husbands water. I ordered a bacon ranch chicken sandwich, came in with 2 strips of bacon and chicken on a bun. I asked my server for ranch or mayo and she never brought it, still charged me .50 for it too! Spend your money elsewhere or even McDonald's has better service! if you get Jessica E. as a server at chillicothe Applebees prepare to wish you ordered takeout. read more

the waitress was the nicest person i've ever met and she was quick with everything and the food was very good

Went there about two weeks ago. Had to wait for the person to seat us, she was on her phone. Our table was dirty. The ( hostess) that seated us was the one cleaning the tables. That consisted of brushing the crumbs on the floor and never wiped any tables while we were there. Hoping this was just a bad day we decided to go back today. After waiting for the hostess for over ten minutes, we left. Also keep in mind they were not busy either time. read more

OK I know we all know Applebee's but I had to write this---visiting from out of state and was recommended to get Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp...DELICIOUS! My only critique is more Cajun seasoning but I like a bit of spice. The chicken was cooked perfectly!!!! Moist all throughout, fully cooked. Amazing as I am picky on my chicken cook. Alauna as my wait staff was so attentive and upbeat. If you haven't come here---we'll worth it!!!! read more

We had a party of six. Everybody was happy with their meal. I again had the 12 ounce sirloin with two orders of broccoli and the Shrimp and Parmesan topping on the steak. I like my steak as rare as they will give it to me. Finally, this steak was perfect. Loved it. My uncle for dessert had the Triple Chocolate Meltdown. He is 89 years old and didn't eat his whole meal, but he killed this. Overall service was good and food and drinks came quick. Can't ask for more than that. We'll be back. read more

The worst place to eat at in Chillicothe. The waitresses don't care about their job. The cooks served cold food. You'll wait 20 minutes just for drinks. Then when you complain about the service. There's no manager they don't care to correct it. Honestly this place needs shut down. If I owned this restaurant I'd fire every single person. On a back note me and my family went to have dinner . It was supposed to be a nice dinner. We would have been better off with McDonald's at least their food is hot. And not ice cold after sitting out for lord knows how long. So if you want cold burger, cold fries, the wrong order go to apples bees where their motto should be "we don't care" they don't even deserve one star. read more

Bartender was RUDE AF! RUN AWAY!! We visited on Saturday 3/16/24 @ 6:30 PM and attempted to sit at the bar which had 6 empty spots. We were told we couldn't sit at any of them because they were 'dirty' - while she stood there and literally did NOTHING!! Here is a concept- quit being lazy and CLEAN!! We've been here a handful of times over the past year and always sit at the bar and tip MIN 20-25% spending $50 + easy. if I was the manager I would've fired her ass on the spot! We will never return - save yourself the headache and choose one of the MANY alternative options. read more

I came here because I often can smell it when I go over to Walgreens and it smells so good. Our waiter was a bit off. When I asked about low-fat salad dressing he made a disgusted face the entire time he tried to think of different low fat dressings. I asked him if he did not like them and he said no he did not. I got low fat Italian. It was ok. Our food was the same. Just ok. I might eat here again but not for a long time. read more

So to start off the people are nice well at least jay was he was our waiter but it was the wait time and the food, but there was maybe 5 tables seated and we waited for an hour and a half, and remind you it was 9 when we got here and we got our food a little after 10:30 and i couldn't even eat the food it was so nasty the fries tasted like they were microwaved after sitting in a fridge for two days, i get it, it CAN be cheap but it's not worth it don't eat this nasty ass sewage food Applebees you needa hire your standards for people or just sell it to someone else honestly. read more

We was at Applebee's Chillicothe Saturday or lunch the lady that was greeting and cleaning off tables dropped a bowl of red sauce from another table o to the floor that splatterd all over us and into my wife's hair. All we got was napkins to try and clean ourselves off..It was so disgusting my wife couldn't eat..All we got was an apology from our waiter and we had to ask him for a wet towel.no offer of a discount or anything.. No manager even acknowledged this had happened or an apology.. needless to say our plans to go shopping never happened..Won't be coming back read more

Dang how is this dump still open??? It smells like dirty dish water. The servers walk around like zombies when they are not hiding in the back. As my first time going to Applebee's i have to say it is amazing! The server was nice. The food was great, I don't have a bad thing to say.

Came here as a last resort due to the large number of 16 in our party, and everything else being packed. We expected a long seating wait, which is was so long. The server was nice and did what he could with the circumstances of the night, busy, out of food, and no credit card machine. The food was where it was bad. Everything looked threw together, wasn't cooked correctly, come out at weird times. In the picture below you see a sirloin I ordered medium and it was well done and only cooked on one side. Everyone's steak was cooked very over what the ordered. Green beans looked disgusting and had a bad texture. Mashed potatoes looked like they'd been sitting a while. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

I usually dont go to " chain " restaurants.I would rather go to a mom and pop place and find the hidden gem. As you can see from my reviews I can be a "fan boy" of the gems i find. So My daughter and I found our self's looking for a place to eat after a concert on a Tuesday night . Applebee's looked like it would fit the bill. They were not busy and our server was good. We were starving so we ordered the SALSA VERDE BEEF NACHOS with the peppers on the side. They were served shockingly fast, like they had already been made for another table fast. For a dish that has queso blanco and pico and fresh jalapeños it was bland, like white bread bland. It shouldent have been bland, I kept thinking wile eating it, they tried to hard to make a dish that they could serve fast ( and make cheap) and they forgot why I was there, GOOD FOOD. Please make a simple dish that tastes good. On to the main course, I ordered a ALL-DAY BRUNCH BURGER and my daughter got the FOUR CHEESE MAC + CHEESE WITH HONEY PEPPER CHICKEN TENDERS. Now throw a egg on about anything and I will be happy and the burger did not disappoint. I ask for my egg fried over hard and I think the cook took it as everything over fried. My slightly over cooked burger was tasty and ( finally , see some of my reviews and you will understand) I got some good fries, very good frys!!!! Thanks you Quart's pasta was ok I tried it and thought the same. A 14 dollar bowl of pasta, should be special. Again, they are over thinking their food, make it simple and good and you have a winner every time. This dish was not a winner. I find chain restaurants want food that looks good on their tv advertisment and sound good on their radio jingles , I want my baby back, baby back....ooops wrong chain...or was it.....they all seem to be the same.................... read more

I'm done with carry out orders here. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered carry out a second time ! Same small portions! Same price as the menu but the portions are smaller. I contacted the manager at that time .... her response.... I'm sorry you feel that way. She claimed they were the same size. So the next time we went on our break there. I deliberately ordered the full size oriental chicken salad. I asked for a box to take it home. It took 2 boxes for me to get it all!!!!! When you pay for a full size in carry out , it comes in one box! Trick no good ! I'm not the only one who notices this crap! Still go in for meals. For is usually decent read more

terrible service!!! will never return! also used coupons for free kids meals for my 3 kids for doing good in school and kids meals are 7$ a piece and instead of taking off the kids meals she took 12$ off on top of all of that our food was way over cooked the chicken tenders and fries were hollow! read more

I have went here for the past couple years, the food used to be great. I went there yesterday and my food was cold. I got the three cheese chicken penne and there was ice on my tomatoes. 10/10 would not Recommend. Took over 5 minutes to be seated and for someone to acknowledge us to seat us. Can't say anything about a specific waiter being bad or food being terrible because we never even got our drink order taken and we sat there for over 10 minutes at the table; and just watched waiters pass by us looking at us. read more

This was the first time eating at this Applebee's. I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad to go. I have been eating this salad for over 15+ years. This was the worst salad I have ever had. There was no lettuce! Well maybe a 1/4 a cup at most. It looked like they dumped a 1/2 a bag of that oriental salad you buy at Walmart and dumped it into the to go container. It was not made correctly! Maybe they hired a new cook. On the plus side the girl that brought the food to the car was nice. read more

Well I figured that I would give it another try. Should have none better. The last few times I'll have been here I have been underwhelmed. Maybe I have to much nostalgia from my younger days. We arrived to a fairly empty dining room, got seated right away. Good start, that's about where it ended. We weren't treated for about 10 mins. We told our server we were ready to order, the reply was I have another table. I understand that you need to get back to another table , but that's not what I would have expected as a reply. Out food took for ever , then was not good at all. Just disappointed in what at one time was a fun and good place to eat. read more
